The best music you ever heard in a game

I just found and bought the Halo 3 soundtrack and I started to think of how mutch good music there realy is in games regardless of game play or story, the proof of this is Legegdary, HALO, Spyro and Fable. I want to know, what the best games are for music and your favorite music from them?
While I'm here does anyone know where I can get the music from Jak 3 cause I'v never found it?

Hm... Best music in a game? Probably the Halo series. Portal and the new Prince of Persia games are very good as well though.

EDIT: And if anyone plans to say Guitar Hero, not until they make 'Guitar Hero: Prog Rock'

MGS (1-4), Panzer Dragoon Saga, Chrono Trigger and Cross, Final Fantasy (some parts), the GTA games, Guitar Hero and Rock Band obviously, Devil May Cry (1-4) and some Atlus games.

My favourite music in a game is from Final Fantasy X due to one song. The astra song or whatever it's called. It's awesome.

Left 4 Dead but not for the songs per se. It's that the music sets the mood and helps the game be a lot scarier. If it weren't for the music getting faster and faster as the zombies approached, the game wouldn't be half as scary.

Any of the Silent Hill games always have a good soundtrack and the game uses it effectively. Can't think of any other games that have a soundtrack that really stand out.

I'd say Mass Effect. I don't know why, I just love it. And Halo: CE & Halo 3.

I see Halo has been said a few times, and that is definitely one of my favorites. The Metroid Prime soundtrack is phenomenal. And of course, the Zelda games.

I'm surprised that no one has said Fallout 3. While the music is a bit dated it just fits the game so well. The music in most of the Valve games is usually superb especially in Half Life 2 and Portal like others have said.
