The best retro nintendo console ?

SNES, hands down.

Why? Because Chrono Trigger, FFIV/VI, Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Mana, the good Megaman X games, etc.

Toss up between SNES and NES for me. SNES was a huge part of my childhood and I loved (almost) every moment I spent playing it. My NES frustrated the hell out of me but now that I'm older, I can beat some of the games that gave me trouble as a child. Some of them are still hard as balls though.

SNES is objectively the best among the options, but in terms of personal preference and nostalgia I'm actually very fond of the Gamecube.
The very first games I ever played were SNES games, but most of my favorite games are Gamecube games (RE4, Killer 7, Wind Waker, etc...)
