But if I need to be original, Rayne;

I agree with that one.

Ivy from Soul Calibur: if you need a reason, then you haven't played the games.

Pyramid Head from Silent Hill: because if the game has to contain someone weilding a weird, oversized sword, it should be a weird monster who it is in character to be using said sword, not some annoying bishi who propably weighs less than the sword in question.

Dante, from Devil May Cry. Easily the greatest sword-wielder of all time.
This, or Nero, Nero's bad ass, but lacks the finesse of Dante.
EDIT: Oh yeah and Ryu from Ninja Gaiden
EDIT EDIT: Also, Deadpool is sweet.

Yumie. A nun with an alter ego. Who slices people in half. And then becomes a nun again and has no recollection of killing people.

Guts from Berserk. He's actually a manga/anime character but he was in two crappy games, so it counts.

Imagine Cloud, but infinitely more badass and manly, and wielding a sword that's even bigger than the buster sword. Oh, and his left arm hides a small cannon. And he wears armour that turns him berserk and to no longer care about pain. And he is in a great manga.

I'm going for the less popular:
Siegfried from soul calibur, because sometimes you just need to wield a sharper-than-normal SUV
Given that it takes 50 odd hits to take someone down with that sword i`d say it`s not very sharp,big yes,but not sharp

Ha ha ha. You fools. Bickering over who's sword is bigger. It is not the size of the blade, but whether or not it is electrified!
