Upon leaving home for university, I have left my PS3 behind for my brother but brought my trusty PS2. However, I have hardly any PS2 games to speak of and I was wondering if you guys could help me out by reccomending some for me. I've been playing things like "Shadow of the Colosus", "Timesplitters" and uhhh..."Gauntlet", "X-men legends"...

To be honest, I can barely remember what I really enjoyed with my PS2 which makes me sad.

Anyway guys I'd love it if you could recomend me some games, particularly awesome co-op games

Cheers dudes, I appreciate any input.

*Edit*
Wow guys, thanks for all the suggestions. I guess I'll elaborate a lil bit on my criteria:

With regards to co-op I'd like something RPGish where you each get your character level them up etc... though

I'm not a big fan of hack'n slash, I've tried GOW, DMC and others (recently Dante's Inferno a bit) and they aren' really for me.

I also don't really like games in an anime/manga art style so I don't get along with final fantasy/kingdom hearts etc.

Please don't take it as me flaming your suggested games or anything, I'm gratefull for anyone reccomanding me anything. Cheers.

God Hand is a single player game but pure awesome.

Edit; The last 30 seconds just shows Gene the main character getting beating up alot, which is pretty much what happens in the game first time you start playing, this game doesn't hold your hand.

This, Beyond Good and Evil, and 007: Nightfire/the one with third person co-op (which I can't remember it's name).

Foolish Humans! Everyone knows the best game for the PS2 is Dark Cloud 2. It looked the best, it played the best, it had a wonderful story and had one of the coolest 'leveling' systems I've ever seen.

The Jak and Daxter series of course.

No Co-op, but a must have
I second that... and of course Prince Of Persia, Burnout 3, Mercenaries, Timesplitters as the OP mentioned and maybe San Andreas...

I love my PS3 like a good friend, But I love my PS2 like a loving parent

Devil may cry (1&3)
Splinter cell (I have only played chaos theory)
Final fantasy 12 (amazing graphics!)
Spider-man 2 (the movie the game, although I must admit I had good times with the actual spider-man 2 game)

Beyond Good & Evil as mentioned above.
Gradius V
Ico
GTAIII or any other you've played

Can't think of any co-op games on the PS2...

Some of the Splinter Cells, Ghost Recon, MoH: Rising Sun or Conflict Desert Storm?

You are a very good brother indeed.

- Silent Hill 2

- Beyond Good & Evil

- Final Fantasy X

- Ratchet & Clank

... and a tonne of other games. PS2 has the best back-catalogue of any console in existence, through sheer weight of volume. They're still making games for it, even (Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, for example)
