This is a very very hard choice that it actually took me years to chose this but I have chosen The Final Fantasy games over The Legend of Zelda. And don't give me that crap that I made the worse choice because you and I know that Final Fantasy is badass.

I'm trying to figure out what your thread title says...

Kill?

Kill John Lennon?

[sub]I will do your bidding.[/sub]

OT (I think): Mass Effect for me. It's the one I've been most invested in, out of every series I've played.

The only other game to hit me on such an emotional level was Journey, and that's not a series :D

What is this I don't even...

I guess the game I've been most interested in in terms of story is GTA IV. It's a slow burner but it's strangely engrossing.

first off Final fantasy Is the most overrated game series ever, Writing in most of them are predictable and full of overly emo cry baby effeminate Characters.

My pick for story line is also Mass Effect as a whole the story is not amazing but the characters in the story are some of the best written ever.

Or I could Go with Call of Cthulhu: dark Corners of the Earth that game has great writing and atmosphere so thick you can cut it with a knife. Too bad it was buggy as hell.

Best thread title ever.

I'd say the MGS Series, its so convulated and twisty, you hav no idea what the fuck is going on, but yet it makes sense.

I would either go for the Metal Gear Solid or Mass Effect series. (Or at least that's my answer for my best guess at the title anyway)

ditto. GTA's annoying realism adds to the immersion.

Also, 9 hours 9 persons 9 doors. It's a visual novel on the DS with some really good and non-annoying point & click adventure style puzzles thrown in. Don't be dissuaded by the term "visual novel"; It has nothing in common with the usual ones outside of having a ton of well-written, well translated text. The story itself play out more like the epic lovechild of the Lost & Saw franchises.

I don't know what this is about at all but let me see if I can cobble together a response.

I love how Final Fantasy is an anthology but I also love how Legend of Zelda is essentially an exploration on the creation myth of Hyrule and how it's evolved over the ages to suit the different heroes (be they of time or otherwise). I'm going to have to chose Zelda though because even though there aren't nearly as many spin-offs, there are far more hits than misses when it comes to Zelda compared to Final Fantasy. Out of the main games, the only Zelda title the masses don't seem to like is the second one (it's my personal favorite). As for Final Fantasy, there is a huge split on each one. The 7th and 6th being the most popular and the 13th being the most hated. Hell, I believe there's a stronger fanbase for Zelda 2 then there is for Final Fantasy 12 and 13 combined (ok, maybe not but it seems like it to me). In Final Fantasy's favor though, even the worst spin offs kick the ass of Tingle's game. Finally...is Link's Archery Training a full on game?

PS:T has a more interesting story than ME without a doubt, but it's not compellingly presented, and presentation is, for better or worse, everything.

I don't fault PS:T that. The stuff Bioware was producing at the time had horrible presentation, too, but there's a reason people are saying ME and not Baldur's Gate. ME has better characters than PS:T (on average, and best vs. best) and they actually play a significant part in ME's plot. Planescape... who was important? The skull? That's it. Everyone else, not counting antagonists, might as well not have existed.

Silent Hill 2's story is better than Jesus. It is the single most uplifting, life-changing, moving epic of life, guilt, and repentance that anyone has ever made.
