The Best Video Game Trailers Of All Time?

Having a stroll through GameTrailers yesterday I had a thought, "Man some of these trailers are amazing, its a wonder no one has done a top 10 video game trailers or something like that". Then it hit me, "I should go ask The Escapist forums what trailers they thought were amazing and got them hyped up for whatever game it may be". Then maybe after that I can take my newly acquired knowledge and make a top 10 of my own!

In short, name (and link to if you can) some trailers that got you instantly hyped up for the game it was featuring. I know I'm not the only one out there that gets pumped up when I see an awesome trailer.

I always thought the very first trailer for Super Smash Bros. Brawl was amazing. The way the characters go from their Melee models to Brawl models is amazing, and seeing Final Smashes in action for the very first time is simply astounding.

Knowing the game as well as we do now, it doesn't carry as much weight, but back in '06, when we first saw it... Wow.

This alone made me go out and get the expansion pack.

Seconded, this is the best (non-team based) role play game ever made. I suggest you all try it as it's still great fun to play now years after it's release and is available to download buy all over the place. Stick some patches on it as it was released a little buggy.

Assassin's Creed adverts made my spine tingly.

Among my favorite include:
Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Halo 3, WoW (the game itself, and the expansions), Prototype, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead, Gears of War 1 & 2, and Mercenaries 2. Recently added would be the one in the original post, haha, and God of War 3.

Final Fantasy VII's sweeping intro was the first trailer for a videogame I ever saw on television. In that respect it is a significant landmark to me apart from being a sweet trailer. It deserves a top-ten spot, but I couldn't say where on the list to rank it...

i liked the team fortress trailers. but the bad company trailer is old (still funny but old) and the uncle gary one was... just creepy
