The best weapon of all time?

I my also have a kick ass shotgun, so not any can i kill people,but i can also put my zombie plan into action just incase.
While it doesn't exist, yet, the closest weapon to 'ultimate' that I can conceive would be a bomb that makes use of Mass-Energy Equivalence. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass%E2%80%93energy_equivalence]
This means that it would work by converting mass directly into energy, nothing to sneeze at when according to Wikipedia a gram of matter converted into energy would be equivalent to the energy within 21.5 kilotons of TNT.
If such things should become possible in the future I damn well better be frozen in a block of ice on my way to Tau Ceti getting FAR away from everyone else first.

Also, Land Shark Gun. A gun that shoots sharks. They travel under earth, piercing it with their fin, and then come out and eat you alive.
Or just the portable Black Hole box. Aim away from the Earth!

I still thinks so, nukes are big and powerful but haven't been useful in the past 60 years (everything from Korea to Vietnam to the ongoing War on Terror). Genius strategists in the high command combined with highly trained troops, who don't just have the physical ability but the skills (mind) to defeat any enemy. I'm not 100% sure if we have the "genius strategists" in our army at the moment but the skill of our troops has been absolutely invaluable.
If it had to be a piece of technology, it would be the laser designator and precision guided bombs. Coalition special forces took on an entire tank division in the North Of Iraq in 2003, they only had lightly armoured vehicles (humvees) but guiding in precision munitions from B52 bombers gave a small squad the ability to obliterate a massively larger and more heavily armoured force.

Well, the nuke is an obvious thought, but I wouldnt pick it, too much collateral damage.

Wait.. are you saying the death star was vehicle mounted? I'm prety sure it was a MASSIVE space station shaped like a sphere.. Do you mean it's super lazer?.. but that would mean that the deathstar is a vehicle... I've thought of it more as a giant building.smeata said:
