I'm sorry but Nero is such a whiney kid, Dante was so much cooler

I apologies if it's already been mentioned but Liberty Prime
Just because of what he says

The emplaced machine gun completely changed how wars were fought, producing the staggering stalemate and trench warfare of WWI. I'd have to say that was one of the best weapons of all time as it revoluntionised military operations.

The atomic bomb! It's hard to top something that can smash an entire city.
The 15 megaton Hydrogen bomb
My top 3 are: Desert Eagle, Winchester .30-30, and the poleaxe.

We've already ripped a hole in the ozone layer and all that did was piss off Al Gore.
There is no 'Hole' in the ozone layer, it's an area where it's not as thick and concentrated as it's normally (I think I read somewhere that it's 60% of the normal size) , but it's not an actual hole..

If we're talking real world then i have to go for the M.O.A.B on the grounds of sheer destruction.

Out of fiction i'd go for the MEDUSA gun mounted on London in the first Mortal Engines book.

Sci-fi - The nova bomb, it blows up a sun, talk about overkill.

Historically - Bow and arrow, I don't think modern warfare would be the same with out the simple bow and arrow.

Currently - Barrett M82A2 "bullpup" rifle

Definitely a Pikachu.
That little bugger will break through anything, and it's invincible as long as you can repeat the word "Pikachu, dodge it!" fast enough.
On the aesthetic side, I prefer shotguns, whether is those double-barrel shotty, classic pump-action, drum magazine shotty, or whatever kind anyone comes up with. I'm a sucker for the "Boom!" it produces. (Must be the barrel sized).

ps. I remember reading in some other thread where someone goes on a nerd rage about sawn-off shotgun being physically impossible, as the recoil would be too great for human to handle. I'll let you know that in my country, we have single-load homemade shotgun "pistol" smaller than your average revolver. They're called Thai Pradit guns (direction translation: Thai made). Apparently it was THE SHIT about half a century ago (Our equivalent of the wild wild west).
