Oh man, I had high hopes for a Doctor Who episode. Darn the luck.

And with my fine-tuned sense of being a pain in the ass, this looks like the perfect thread for us to all post what we'd like him to do shows on. Doubly so if we don't think he can do it.

So, starting with some that he might do:

The impact of coin-op video games on culture - including gambling/video poker
How sequels and reboots mimic ancient retelling of myths (like the Arthurian tales)
* Benefits of sequils to the industry/fan base (Does it really hurt?)
* Benefits of new IP to the industry/fan base (does it really matter?)
Thoughts on Netflix producing Lilyhammer and You Tube Channels
Impact of ubiquitous cameras on daily media consumption - are we devolving to shaky-cam crap because everyone can record on their phones?

Then migrating to some of my areas of enthusiasm:
Cthulhu Mythos / HPL / Horror
King Arthur in books, movies, and TV
Elric, Eternal Champion / Micheal Moorcock
Fantasy (from Tolkien & Robert E. Howard to now) in movies, comics, and TV

I guess I find it strange that one of the five groups is the entire medium of music seeing as how much is covered under that umbrella.

visual medium
written medium
sound medium

Really?

I'm sure there is a subset in there somewhere you have an opinion on. I'm not forcing, I'm just saying I figured at some point some band or some movement or something might make it on to the show. Again, not pushing, just surprised that one of the major mediums doesn't make it on.

Look forward to whatever you do make a video on.

I can only imagine how many peple have a genuine interest in some of these subjects Bob doesnt know about and ask him to do, and how many just want him to do it so they can hop on the comments section and rip him a new one.

...

plus i dont know if he'd ever really do a manga one, just cause outside of a few (such as DBZ and its ilk that have inspired the anime shows people look on with nostalgia) itd most likely be an episode made into troll bait and flamewars by people here.

Hey, you were the one who brought up Samurai Pizza Cats, Bob, so you owe us an episode on Samurai Pizza Cats!

Bob's right about Linkara and his Power Rangers stuff. It's really fun to watch old clips of that show, and it helped my remember which season I stopped watching altogether.

I know the feeling, Bob. I do a webcomic based off the story of a rather niche JRPG and because of which, people tend to assume that I play other JRPGs, and by playing JRPGs that apparently also means I watch anime. But I don't really do either of these things.

I had gotten a lot of e-mails from people asking me to make a comic in public support of Project Rainfall, but I'd never even heard of it, and even when I looked into it, it wasn't something that I was invested enough in to promote awareness of.

So Bob...when can we get a Gamera episode? :p

If anyone wants to know anything about what it's like to create and get a manga published then read Bakuman, it's the story of two young men with the dream of becoming successful Manga Authors in Jump. It offers so much insight that many authors were surprised that Jump even allowed it to be published.

It is a running manga and it's a bit over dramatized in some areas but it offers a lot of insight on the behind the scenes at jump. It's by the same two guy team who did Death Note and the anime adaptation is in its second season. If you want more history of manga then Wikipedia is your friend.

Well at least he's honest about not knowing stuff.

I was kind of halfway expecting Deadpool to show up on his list...mostly due to the fact that a pantload of people have requested it multiple times and he hasn't done something yet.

A Show about things that you aren't going to make a show about.
Awesome :)

Also Bob, Do you have Mario Kart 7? If so what do you think about it?

-edit-
For the record, I think Linkara may have abandoned the project. Not saying you should pick it up. Just saying I think he might be done.
It wasn't abandoned. He already said that he is past the point at which he watched power rangers in their original run so the newer series will take longer for him to write since he needs to watch the whole thing and take notes, figure out the main themes, character development, write out everything, watch it again and see if his opinions still feel true. Unless he has recently said he was done with the project.

I defeinitely sympathize with you on the Dr. Who front, as your story was almost exactly my story, except for the part about having actually watched some of it.

See, back in the late 80s, our local PBS station used to run uncut, commercial free Star Trek episodes every Saturday night. This, as you can imagine, was incredibly awesome, and was how I managed to see most of the series. Eventually, they added TNG episodes, which was less awesome, since I'd actually seen most of them, but still somewhat cool. Then they replaced it with Dr. Who. And for the longest time, I resented Dr. Who. These days,I wanna get into it, but have no idea where to even start.

All I know is the last review was last November, and I havent heard an update since.
He has so many other projects that he tends to. Its almost been four months with nothing.
So abandoned probably isn't the best word.
How about "Its on the back burner and he'll get to it eventually"?

I don't know about dismissing all music Bob, you didn't come across as ignorant when you talked about Metal that one time.
