Off the top of my head, I guess it was pretty funny when I convinced someone I was deaf for a few months. It was especially hard considering they knew how to sign.

Convinced upwards of 40 people that I was gay for over a year. Fun times :D
What is the point? If everybody thinks that you are gay then the only person that you are fooling is yourself.
Firstly, I convinced them, rather than having them think that already. Secondly, it was a social experiment on my part? just to see how people would react with the new 'knowledge' that I was gay. You've got the one or two people that are either unfazed or good at hiding it, sure, but you've also got the people who are raging homophobes and will suddenly hate you or be afraid of you, and you've got the people who, no matter what they said before they thought you were gay, are absolutely terrified of offending you and will apologise for anything.

We all had a big laugh about it when I told them the truth, though :D
That sounds incredibly unfun and it must have caused a very long dry spell.
