This came up when a friend of mine recently told me that she had skipped her high school prom because a LAN party came up. Personally I probably would have made the same choice but the fools at my high school weren't that cool. I was just wondering... oh escapist community I love so dearly, what have you given up because of the inevitable need to play just one...more...game...

My hearing, because i'm annoyed by any sound other than a tv. I answer the phone the first ring. I search for random sounds, I throw my annoying meowing cat out my bedroom window.

I've skipped plenty of things for games. I skipped out on trying acid because I was in the middle of Heroic Mechanar. I also skipped many a high school dance to play games.
