Food, mostly. You don't get very hungry from gaming so when I'm home alone I eat perhaps thrice a day. And "sickness" is always an excuse for not showing up to some school event which is not so very important to your future life (I do 10% of my homework, the best in my class).

I don't really lose any sleep over gaming since I sit awake to 1pm, then sleep 'till noon. My biggest "loss" was probably highschool grade picture, I was "ill" and had to stay home playing HL2.
Sounds like me in school. I do barely any homework I can scored 80% or better on almost all my tests I don't study and I fall asleep in class.

I guess I just have my priorities straight.
I'm 15 so I haven't "done it" but I would never give up losing virginity for gaming.
The only things I skip are chores (taking out the trash, cleaning my room, etc...)

I just do gaming in my spare time, mind you I have a lot of spare time.

Edit: I have a job (at the local grocery store) but if they call me up I'll go in (I LIKE MONEY)

In school: I never study, don't pay attention in class, annoy the heck out of all the other students, and confuse the teachers by doing all that and still ace all of the tests.
(I learn fast. GO ME!)

School

Thats it. Thats the worst I've ever done.

I've been a member on Runescape for about 5 and a half years.
Take that Theo Samaritan!

Dude your like me lol. Expect I can do all the above, let people cheat off me And finish my tests in like 15-20 minutes.

You can wake me up and ask me something and i'll be able to respond. It pisses off the people that have to study but hey the wankers don't let it come naturally they pound it into their heads.

Diginity - Runescape 3 years.

Physically - If I didn't game i'm sure i'd be fit but then again being super fit isn't a worry since nobody says nothing to me anyway.

Sleep - I have bouts of insominac type. Where I can't go to sleep for hours and it seems more common now.

Freindship - If I wasn't gaming then I would probably have a big circle of freinds at school. But thats not a problem since most of them are assholes and shit. Most girls are whores.(Seriously most of the girls that are fun to hang out with at my schools also go down on guys regularly. Also all my friends game a little and then I know their freinds who also game So I still have quite a group of friends.

Whats new. - Seriously the girls that like rock at my school.( Not many. ) talk about bands that I dunno who the hell they are. And a lot of the stuff people talk about I dunno what they are talking about sometimes. But thats not that important since most arn't friends I regurally hang out with.

I missed several things due to games and the playing thereof, and now I'm going to list them because I obviously like being laughed at by a bunch of Internet man-children.

1) When my family left home for a month in the Seychelles, I stayed at home and didn't even notice they had gone until three days later because I was playing the new downloadable content for Crackdown and was starting to wonder why no-one was shouting at me to stop.

2) I also once skipped going to the local funfair with my friends because I was being forced to play Pretty Princess Dress Up - sorry, I meant to say FF X-2, with my litle sister.

3) But I suppose the most embarrassing thing was this: I got hold of the latest Age of Empires expansion pack and - promise not to laugh - got so engrossed in it that I missed my own birthday party.

Well, that's nothing to.. but... eh... et.. ba.. HAHAHAHHAHAHHROFLCOPTERLOLZORZ!!!

*Sniff* Sorry.

My greatest claim has to be shared with 30+ other people. On the last day of our senior year of high school, we all brought our laptops and held a massive lan-party AT SCHOOL! It was pretty epic. Every room at our school has a computer and every computer is connected to each other. So what we did was we plugged our laptops into the Ethernet ports and played away each class period (Being the last day, the teachers didn't mind as they had nothing for us to do). Every hour and a half, we got up, went to our next class, and jacked-in again.

During lunch (an hour), we all got together in the massive amphitheater in the middle of school, brought out a 64-port LAN switch from the XBox 360 club (yes, we had an on-campus XBox 360 club, as well as a Nintendo club and LAN club, the latter of which arraigned all of this), and played away at lunch. The school administrators got so pissed as technically we were not breaking any of the rules.

In case you are wondering what we "skipped" or "gave up" here, it was, after all, our last day of high school before we all parted ways and went off to college. We all got together and had a huge LAN party as opposed to the normal thing, i.e., saying goodbye and creating lasting memories.

I've lost a few friends and a few IQ points due to the twats on Live. But gained better hand eye co-ordination.

Does that count?

Hell yes. Not to totally geek out but a recent study determined that kids that grow up gaming have better problem solving skills, memory, and average IQ than non-gamers. Don't know if thats a direct correlation or coincidence but I buy it.

I'm not sure that's really what he meant when he made the thread...

I gave up my entire career because of one stupid game. I failed out of college, therefore kind of ruined my life.

what game was it? Don't laugh...

Ragnarok Online. I played that thing for 6 years. that's dedication.

I missed a good friend's wedding because of video games. But I was working on them, they couldn't get a hold of me (like you can't say, "Hey dude! I'm getting married!" in voicemail). Meh. Not so bad in the big scheme of things I suppose, but still, he never let me live it down. (Until we stopped talking altogether, but that's another story.)

My prom sucked, mostly because the organizers chose a stupid place to throw it. Same goes for the after party, a huge lodge with 3 other schools there... Not to mention my date was crabby most of the night, so I got no sex...

Ya I would have rather skipped all that and played video games... but not WoW! I got rid of my addiction!

I had an animation to do, but was engrossed in the Half Life series. By that time I had already spent a week playing through Half Life 1. The only way to snap out of it and get back to work, was to spend around seven days of red bull and late nights, *****-slapping my ps3 and tredging through the remaining three outstanding games in all their orange-boxy glory.

It was awesome, and totally worth it.
