Just had my first run. I've got about 300 hours in the original but I haven't played it in about a year (because of computer issues) so I was expecting to be a bit rusty. It ended up going swimmingly. I beat Mom, unlocked Samson, Azazel and Lazarus and got the Basement Boy achievement. It got a bit tense for a while though. I was at one heart container with no soul hearts at one point but then a lucky deal with the devil gave me 9 lives and I was able to turn it around.
Giving Azazel a go now. His short range brimstone attack is interesting. I always found brimstone a bit boring but having to get up in people's faces makes it a bit more fun.

Yeah, new composer and completely new soundtrack. It's fitting for the game and I really like it but it is way different from Danny B's original (which I love).Ima Lemming said:I really dig the soundtrack though, and I was interested in Rebirth if only for an updated soundtrack, and then I heard somewhere Danny Baranowsky wasn't doing the soundtrack for the remake. Anyone know anything about that?
