Really, this one is the obvious winner.Johnny Novgorod said:Medal of Honor: Warfighter still gives me a good chuckle.
Wasn't Mortal Kombat X the tenth game in the series? Your post immediately made me think of that game.NPC009 said:- Anything with an X that actually mean 'cross' but just looks like a roman '10'.

I knew I wouldn't be the first one to bring up that stupid series...well...that series with stupid titles.Bitter Hobbit said:Kingdom Hearts, not that name particularly as although a bit silly I do think it suits the Disney theme. But game titles such as...

Dragon Age 2 is a nice, straight-forward title and I wouldn't have an issue with it if it wasn't for the fact that it's one game in a series of 3 and a half with actual subtitles. Origins, Inquisition, and even the DLC Add-on to Origins Awakening had a proper subtitle. Dragon Age 2 could have easily been called something like Kirkwall Chronicles or Flight of the Hawke.
I'm getting tired of reboots (soft or otherwise) which sub-title their games or what have you with an RE word. What's most irksome is when we get __________: Revelations despite the fact that Revelations don't happen or are incredibly unimportant to an overarching plot thread. What really was revealed in Resident Evil, Assassins Creed, Eve Online, Myst IV or that album by Audioslave?
I'm still unsure about the grammatical correctness of Demon's Souls...God's Not Dead is another one I'm unsure of. Are those possessive or does the 's imply the word "is"?
DMC: Devil May Cry always gets me annoyed because around the time it was being talked about there was another game I was hoping would be produced with a similar name called DMC: Death Shout. The DMC in this instance being Detroit Metal City, an anime about a folk musician who sucks at folk music, gets drunk, changes his lyrics from folk to Death Metal and becomes an overnight sensation in Tokyo's underground music scene.
The most recent game I'm looking forward to with a horrendously stupid name is Tokyo Mirage Session #FE. That's the whole fucking title: Tokyo Mirage Session # (Sharp)FE. This game was never going to have a good title but at least Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem tells you what to expect. It may seem clever turning SMT (Shin Megami Tensei) into three...words using those three letters but what it actually gives people like me is a bunch of tangentially connected words mashed together for no good reason.
