Here's how I see it. Say you push the button and someone dies. That person goes to the afterlife and discovers why they died. Now if I was that person who died I would be absolutely furious that I died purely because someone wanted money. Also the family would be devastated and if they found out, they'd probably kill you, or place charges on you. Now I know it's near impossible to find out who killed them but you would always know.

I wouldn't press the button because I wouldn't wanna be an asshole, even if you offered me money.
What if the afterlife isn't real? What if they made it look like an accident?
You would still know you killed someone, and the people who were close to them would still be devastated. I'm just saying that goes against my morals so I wouldn't press it. Also I could argue about the afterlife but i'm not going to because the internet is pretty much the WORST place to have a religous debate.

Besides, that has it's own topic area I could go to for that.

If i were to press that button, a good chunk of that million is going to have to go to saving more lives than it cost. The guilt would rack me otherwise.

If I got to choose who dies, I'd push the button about 30-40 times. That would be awesome.

I'd invent a machine capable of pressing the button a million times a minute (somehow) then hold Earth hostage by threatening it with said machine.

Commence button mashing!
Seriously, it would be like playing tekken.
Ahahaha! Same here, man, same here... I don't value human lives that much anyway, not even my own, so button mashing all the way.

This came up a few months ago, a youtube clip based on the episode of the twilight zone...
It was a test for getting into heaven

I answered then and now always no, not because I don't need the money or because of the moral question. To put it simply, I'm paranoid, I think everything has a catch, a twist or a trap. If it sounds too good to be true it probably isn't.

I would have a few questions first, would I know this person? Could it be traced back to me? If I press it twice do I get $2 million?
If he said no, no and yes, I would probably be more tempted to press it. For example, 1 or 2 million dollars is a lot of money. However, the knowledge of having a human's death on my hands might be too overwhelming.

Id push it 6,692,030,277 times and hope I die last so I can finish my task.
Actually, that's a pretty good idea. Besides, it does specify that you won't know the person, so you could just make sure to do a system reset on the world and rebuild it with your friends and family to be an idilic place!

...
Never mind that, I'LL DO IT FOR YOU!

That was one of the worst films I've seen this year. It was awful! Plot holes, plot jumps, unlikeable lead character (Diaz) and what started as an interesting exploration of morality, turned into a pointless sci-fi excursion that made no sense.

I was thinking more along the lines of human extinction.

I'd push the button for no money and the chance to push the button about 6.8 billion times.
At my leisure of course.
