Dan pulled back,
"Look, I know you don't want me here, but...I'm going to try as hard as I can to make you love me. I don't care how much it hurts anymore. I love you Bridget and I want you to do the same. Do you want to go and look for your brother right now? I'm ready whenever you are."
She sighed again.
"We'll wait for Jaden and then go." years in a bunker make you be able to sleep through noise I guess
Bridget stood up and brought her sword down.
"If you'll exscuse me, I need to practice"
Wolfe looked back at Septimus again.
"Do I have to push you? I have something to say to Bridget before I officially head out..."
Wolfe turned and walked back.
"Bridget...If you ever change your mind, just find me..."
With that, Wolfe started walking away...He didn't even look back.
"Then i'll watch." Dan said. He sat in the chair she had stood up from and watched her. Beautiful and stong. How did I land that hit?
He closed his eyes and saw that the torture was not as bad.
"Bridget, how much competition do I have now?" He asked curiously.
Bridget heard Henry's words. find me...I've heard it before. They never come back
She shook her head at Dan and practiced her swordsmanship. Slash, diagonal, diagonal, Stab, Hen-Stab behind, Block, Da-Block, Sep-Up, Down, repeat
lol, My bad, I had the impression that you were "older"
Staring up at Wolfe's face, Septimus sees the truth in his eyes. "Fine...you go and be a fuckin' badass-loner-mercenary type." Struggling to his feet, he laughs and throws an arm at the building where they'd come from. "ha, no way am I goin' back up there."
Frowning down at his feet, Septimus attempts one last time. "Are you sure I can't come? I'll be fine in one day. I could really do with your help looking for my Grandfather...He's here in London somewhere...he's close to discovering a cure for the disease." I've never pleaded like this in my life. Never...
Wolfe spoke as he walked away. "I only have enough food for one person. Plus, you're weak, and a liability with the distance I'm going." I can only hope that things don't get really bad in my absence.
Wolfe soon disappeared down the street...And with that, continued on his own journey.
I'll watch the thread, but I can't involved too much because I have to go for a few hours soon.
Dan just watched quietly. I need to be more confident this time. What did Herny do that I didn't. Well, he didn't stab her. But she forgives me. Damn it, I have to make her fall for me.
"You're really good at that Bridget..."
Hands raised in hopeless dejection, Septimus admits defeat.
He really doesn't want to see a cure developed?? With a sigh, Septimus hobbles back to the building. Carefully ascending the stairs, He thinks about his parents. Maybe I shouldn't have left...I was stupid to think I could do this alone.
Seeing that Dan was still here, watching Bridget pratice with a sword, Septimus decides to leave as quietly as he could. No, I'm definitely better off alone. Better off than being with those two.
Heading in the opposite direction to Wolfe, Septimus goes in search of food and shelter. One last thought entered his head: Should have atleast stolen something...
And with that, He hobbled away, hoping never to see any human being except his Grandfather, ever again.
Like with Amzer, I have very little time on my hands right now so I'm gonna have to sit out for a bit. I'll keep following as and when I can and I'll post some occasional "what's on in the life of Septimus" until I finally have some time to participate fully. Really sorry guys.
I'm happy for Bridget and Dan to find Septimus unconcious/ill somewhere at some point once you start moving. And just keep him with you until he wakes up (I get time to post regularly again). If I haven't posted within the next two days, you can do that if you want and when I have more time, I'll bring myself back into the story somehow. Is that ok?
Wolfe walked through the streets of London, noting the strange emptiness...As if the infected were preoccupied with something. He thought as he walked. I'm pretty sure I just killed a group of survivors by leaving...I was the only one with the right know how about this age's technologies to operate anything...The robot is inexperienced, but he knows it...or atleast I think he does. I feel sorry for Bridget though...Though she may be a lying slut...Of course, there is a word for that...
Wolfe walked onward, eying many of the buildings he passed. I need to find a place to take refuge...Otherwise, I fear they might come out. I'll walk for a little longer...See if I can find anything...
Artemis saw seven mutants burst from an nearby allyway and run towards him. They were all musceled just like the mutant Artemis had just killed. Artemis stared into the eyes of the mutant at the front. He sensed an incrediable blood lust in the creature and its eyes were like that of an insane sociopath. Time seemed to slow for Artemis as the first mutant moved in. Not wasting any time, he thrust his rapier through the creature's stomach and his short blade up through the creature's mouth into its brain. He kicked the mutant off his swords and into the other mutants, buying himself a few seconds.
He dispatched another mutant, its head falling slowly to the ground as moved to another. He moved like water through the mutants, his swords swinging left and right, dispatching the creatures one by one. Within half a minute the encounter was over. He stepped away from the bodies. He heard bubbling sounds as the couple that were still alive choked on their own blood. Artemis left them to die in agony and retrived his stuff from the bin he had hidden them in. He put his coat back on, glad to be out of the cold and strapped his almost empty backpack onto his back. He set off into the city, in search of materials for the boat and supplies to get him back home.
21 pages while I was at NLS and doing homework. What has happened so far with the other characters?
So I'm sure I'm missing some peoplle but anyways; Venom me and Jaden(not their username) are in an abandoned hideout-Fingers is gone-Amzer is gone-Meta_trooper is going to be added to my party soon-
Bridget kept slicing through the air, venting out her frustration. Why did he leave? Why couldn't I have gone with him? He didn't tell me where he was going, only that he had to go and would find me later
She sliced twice more before jabbing into the wall.
"Argh!" she shrieked, pulling the blade out and forcing it into the sheath. She closed her eyes and tried to calm down. Breath in.......Breath out
As she calmed down she laid the sword on the ground and kneeled in front of it. I will find my brother
Without regarding Dan, she walked outside and stood on the street looking either way. Hearing scuffling behind her she pulled out the sword and slashed over a rat.
"Damn rodents" she spit before turning around again. No infected right now...odd
She strolled back into the hideout and lay on the bed in her clothes. Sleep later, think now
Jaden stirred from the corner in which he was resting. Opening his eyes, he saw that things had changed much while he slept.
Wolfe was nowhere to be seen, Dan's face was streaked with dry tears, and there were spatterings of blood all over the place - though it seemed whatever had made them was now gone.
Seeing Bridget lay back down on her bed, he realised he had probably slept a lot more than he should have. Rising from his sleeping position, he walked past his two companions without saying a word, went up to the roof and began moving through the rhythms of his daily exercises.
you gotta want it man. gotta want it, want it bad! XD
The city was quiet and once more boring, most of the players had grown up and moved on to pastures new, or so it seemed, he had expected more to come to the call, to the chase, but in the end it had been a disappointment.
Alex sat, swaying in the wind, on the edge of a rooftop, one of the taller buildings, a pile of dead beasts were piled around the stairway behind him, most of them in pieces, his chain whip lay beside him, coloured crimson, Alex sat and watched them, his eyes were those of a hunter and he saw a lot of the details with them, he wondered how long each of them would last alone, as a group they could barely keep silent, easy targets for any pack, but alone they might just be interesting to a common observer.
But he wasn't an observer, he was a hunter, a predator, with that thought he jumped up and span round, picking up his whip in the process, and headed down the stairs, it wouldn't do to be low on weapons so collecting the used knives would be good, he walked around the streets, collecting all his thrown knives and putting them back where they came from before finally winding up right where the chase begun, good times, good times, the survivors were going their separate ways and most likely didn't notice him silently emerge and retrieve his weapons, perhaps they'd realised it was more fun to be alone.
sorry, real life stuff came up, you know, the sort that happens. =D
anyway, i come back and find about 8 unread pages, i mean, jesus, that's a lotta text! so i been readin' and readin' and now i'm tired again, this may not have much by ways of detail (as far as i'm concerned at least) but it's what i could come up with, i'll be on for about 2 more hours, so blast away, but know that you deprive me of my sleep, you evil little devils! XD
My interwebs was being retarded...ANYWAYS BECAUSE I AM BACK...
WOLFE'S LIFE CONTINUES! HUZZAH!
Wolfe had walked the city for hours until coming across the building that stood before him... Be it my new home...Or my new tomb.
He then looked towards it, seeing that it looked relatively vacant, he walked through the doors to find a corpse. It was the corpse of a man in a white hoody, and jeans. Clutched in his hand was a light pistol, and he had several ammo clips for the pistol laying around his body. There was alot of blood, splattered everywhere. Fucking wonderful...Well, might as well loot his ammo...
Wolfe picked up the clips, counting seven in all. He placed 6 of the clips into one of his many assorted pouches, attached to the belt of his vest. He took out the pistol, and loaded the last clip. So it begins...
The lights seemed dim...Too dim. Wolfe looked around on the ground floor for the fuse box, before finding it. One of the fuse cartridges had blown, not just the average blown fuse, either, the cartridge was smoking, and sparking through melted plastic, exposing a the two separated bits of wire. Wolfe removed the fuse carefully, before looking at the color on the fuse. White. Wolfe searched for one of the white fuses he pulled from the hunting shop, and he carefully swapped out the fuses, throwing the blown one to the floor.
Not a second later, the lights seemed to come on fully, and Wolfe could see fine.
The lights shined rather brightly. Bright enough to be seen from Bridget's hideout.
Bridget lay sleeping, thinking about how it would've gone if she changed her decision. Her eyes fluttered and finally opened to see Jaden had woke up and move. Swinging her legs over the bed, she stood up and tied her sword onto her waist.
Where is he?
She looked around and decided to walk up to the roof. The cold steps caused shivers through her spine and she arrived onto the roof.
"Hello?" she asked, looking around before seeing Jaden and going beside him. "Everythin's different now..."
She sat where she and Henry had sat, dangling her legs over the roof again.
Did I make the right choice?
She scanned the horizon, watching as the sun moved along its chosen course. Nothing different for it, it's always moving the same way. Every day, it just moves without thought and without fear. Without pain...She shook her head to get rid of the thoughts.
Can't lose concetration now, I'm on guard duty
She stared at the sun again. "We're moving out soon" she said to no one in particular "I don't know where we're going though. We could go look for Henry...he couldn't have gotten far...or we can look for Septimus...he's probably dead by now-just like my brother."
Tears filled her eyes again and she slapped herself before she started crying. Controlling her emotions, she once again scanned the horizon and found a lit up building in the distance.
Wolfe navigated the brightly lit building with ease. He had made sure the building was clear, running into about 4 dazed infected. Obviously dazed by the sudden burst of light. They were easily dispatched.
Will the light draw them like moths? Or will they think this building vacant, and move on?
And what to do with our dead friend?
Wolfe was back down at the lobby of the building, which was tiny. He eyed the dead body curiously...
He formed a blockade of various things from this building, another office building, so it mainly consisted of desks laying on their backs. Some cubicle bits, one acting as a sort of a door, the overturned desks on their sides acting as walls, and the desks on their backs provided lookout points. He had gone to the roof access door, and he had blocked that up... No more rooftops for me...
Wolfe had a system for the cubicle bit acting as a door. He kept a desk behind it, so it wouldn't be so easy to enter...
The building remained brighter than any other, and should've attracted attention by now...
Bridget tried to peer into the windows, since she saw movement every and then. She made a mental note to try and grab binoculars next time they were out before standing up and looking to Jaden.
"Don't tell anyone where I've gone" she whispered before walking back to the stairs. Creeping down, she grabbed some sheets from a spare bed and creeped back upstairs again. Giving one end to Jaden and throwing the other end over the building, she shimmied down her makeshift ladder.
That could've gone one of two ways
She landed with a tiny thump on the ground and pulled twice on the sheet for Jaden to bring it up. Taking out her sword, she proned under the windows and made sure no one had seen her.
Now to find out who that is
She slowly crept across the street, getting a small flashback from when she had crept over to Wolfe. Looking both ways, she only saw one infected and she crept up behind him.
"Surprise" she exclaimed before slicing its head off with her new sword. Cleaning the blood off of her blade, she knelt down beside the body and stabbed through its heart before closing its eyes.
Respect the dead
Seeing that there weren't anymore infected in the nearby vicinity, she crept up to the door and knocked three times before running to the side to peer through a window.
