Ok, I'll start it, but if all my housemates get home before I'm done you'll have to wait for it until tomorrow evening. Is that ok? I only ask, because if you think the place will get taken or something, I won't bother...even though I'm quite interested... = (

Oh fair enough. Well, I guess I'll send my thanks (with a number of human sacrifices) to Cthulu and hopefully get you a character sheet tomorrow evening.

Name: Jaden Walker

Gender: Male

Age: 24

Appearance: Unkempt sandy-blonde shoulder-length hair that has never seen a pair of scissors; expressionless face due to lack of use; pale, sallow skin tone; sunglasses, dark grey trousers, dark grey T-shirt and blue flight jacket (his fathers).

Personality: Hasn't communicated with another human being since he was twelve, and learned about conversations mostly through books; his manner of speech sounds disjointed and unresponsive, as if he were a very polite robot doing a good impression of a human. Passive and friendly, although this is due more to a lack of experience with violence than any personal preference; greatly enjoys touching things, be they objects, surfaces or people.

Skills: Extremely patient, able to wait, unmoving, for hours on end without break; never forgets a name or a face; possesses at least a rudimentary knowledge about countless topics, such as construction, business, warfare, agriculture, science, nutrition, etc. Doesn't know how to lie, or break a promise.

Flaws: Failed his Charisma check for life Distinct lack of empathy and communication skills; appreciates neither irony nor subtlety, and will take most things said to him literally; though physically very fit, knows little about fighting, and is sensitive to pain, as he has almost never experienced it. He's very sensitive to light, and wears sunglasses at all times because of this; without them, is more or less useless during the day.

Greatest Fears: Loud noises, fire, the dark (these things always meant trouble when in the bunker).

Current Goals: Finding his parents, experiencing the world first hand, making friends, survival.

Bio: Jaden's parents were survivalist to the point of obsession, putting all their money into hoarding food, water, medicine, even literature (especially history) in a colossal bunker near their home, funded by an impressive inheritance from an uncle who worked the stock market. The combination of The Bright Age and the wonder cure left them mostly without friends - nobody listens to a doomsayer when everything is perfect.

The outbreak of the beasts sent them into a frenzy of preparation and self-congratulation, and as the disease spread, they locked themselves and their 4 year old son inside the bunker to wait it out. Eight years passed.

Impatient, curious, driven slightly mad by such a long period of separation from civilisation, Jaden's father decided to go out and investigate. Twenty four hours later saw him still absent, so his mother went to check on him. He never saw them again.

The next twelve years saw Jaden stay in the bunker, living off the plentiful (if not very exciting) resources his parents had saved up, learning about the outside world from the piles and piles of books they had preserved, and exercising regularly.

At long last, Jaden has decided to leave the bunker, taking supplies, a flashlight, and a crowbar. He finds himself in London.

Jeez, that's really long. I'll shorten it if anyone needs me to. Please let me know if there's any problems that need fixing.

I managed to complete a whole essay in 6 hours today and handed two in. Unfortunately, I still have one last assignment to complete for tomorrow...

Oh and I also did a character sheet

Name: Septimus Drouet

gender: Male

Age: 15

Appearance: A short, skinny teenager Septimus looks like a ghost with his pale and gaunt face. His shoulder-length black hair is unkempt and dirty, and the beginnings of straggly facial hair can be seen on his chin. The boy wears an ill-fitting coat found in the rubble along with his own tattered shirt and jeans. His trainers aren?t water-tight due to all the holes in them.

Personality: Septimus, being a teenager, complains a lot and dislikes being told what to do. In all honesty, he just doesn?t much like people and will not go out of his way to talk to others, even in the stark and dull world he inhabits. The only person that he is remotely interested in is his Grandfather, although he?s never met the man; his parent?s stories about the ?greatest paramedic in history? have always fascinated him. It is this devoted interest in his grandfather that caused Septimus to attempt to practice healing although he?s found that he only seems to have a slight knack for the most basic of first-aid. He can become frustrated easily, especially when things don?t go his way.

Skills: Septimus likes to think of himself as an expert in medicines and medical techniques but the reality is that he only has a slightly above average knowledge of basic first-aid. Due to the nature of the relationship that Septimus had with his parents, he is an exceptional liar.

Flaws: Septimus is distrustful of people in general, believing everyone to be hiding atleast something. From his experience however, they almost always are. His disdain for authority figures can be problematic especially when travelling in a group and expected to do his share of work. Septimus is, for all accounts and purposes, a coward; he would much rather flee than stay and encounter any sort of danger? He would more likely run than help a person who is in danger.

Greatest fears: Septimus has a great fear of climbing extreme heights, although once at the top he is absolutely fine, and usually enjoys the views.

Current goal: Primarily surviving. His secondary goal is to find his grandfather who is rumoured to still be alive London somewhere, close to finding a cure for the disease.

Bio: Septimus never had it easy as a kid, always being dragged around the dangerous, desolate roads by his parents trying to find a new refuge. He became distrustful of people after countless examples of human depravity and treachery against him and his family. You would think this might allow him and his parents to become close, gripping onto the last piece of good in their lives. You would be wrong.

As a result of his distrust, Septimus began to loathe his parents until one night, whilst his mother and father were having one of their all-too-common violent arguments, Septimus simply decided to disappear. He took tins of food, binoculars a broken torch and his dad?s only weapon: a blunt kitchen knife. He felt that he had a better chance on his own. He didn?t need them or anybody.

The only thing that Septimus held onto as he wandered the deserted land, was the idea that somewhere, his grandfather was alive and working on a cure for the disease that had caused all this trouble. Stories of his grandfather - ?the greatest paramedic ever to live? - were the only times that Septimus enjoyed communicating with his parents. Amazing tales of frontline life-saving, back-to-life miracles and tenuous rumours of survival was the only thing keeping hope alive inside him. He couldn?t believe that the Vipers had kidnapped and killed his grandfather? so he clung to a rumour that his mother had once told him: ?Son, he?s here in London, he?s close to a cure.? Without thoughts of his grandfather, Septimus would be dead.

I like it's length.

I have a question. Any ideas when we'll start the thing? obviously you wanted more people but surely once we've got atleast 4 we can start and others can just join in as and when they do a sheet? that way, we start as a small group and meet others as time progresses.

Sorry...Just a thought = ]
