You might wanna try preordering it from Gamestop first.sms_117b said:Ive not, after frequently checking the PSN Store for a download and not finding one, I am rather upset....
I think its pretty smart.. Gets people talking about it earlier. (ex: us bitching about not having it since we didnt preorder)gamegod25 said:That's pretty stupid. Otherwise, I think you'll have to wait another week or so.Radeonx said:It's out?
That is fun!Souplex said:More fun than a barrel full of monkeys.
No, it's a stupid idea. Preorder bonus's should be special in game stuff, like custom guitar or something. The purpose of a demo is to give a taste to people who are undecided or never heard of it, so that they will want to preorder the game.Phyroxis said:I think its pretty smart.. AND its incentive to preorder
AND the people who preorder are already bought in, so when they get the demo and play they're more likely to push the demo on their friends as soon as it comes out.
They should have given you a little card thing that has the code printed on it.wrecker77 said:I went to gamestop today to reserve my copy and I see nothing about a demo on the receit. Does it have to be online? I swear I need to play this.
Ive been had! I got no card. Just a receit. And when I asked about the standee they didnt have, they said "Wuh?"ThaBenMan said:They should have given you a little card thing that has the code printed on it.wrecker77 said:I went to gamestop today to reserve my copy and I see nothing about a demo on the receit. Heheh, yeah, I saw that on doublefine.com. Funny stuff. I also love the Tasha comics.wrecker77 said:Ive been had! I got no card. Just a receit. And when I asked about the standee they didnt have, they said "Wuh?"
If you go on doublefine.com then you wont get it.
I really hope they don't focus to much on the Deuce. Although I did better with it than I expected to I really didn't enjoy driving it. And did I miss something or is there a HP bar or damage indicator or something? Can you die in it? I admit I did really bad at the beginning and should have seen a game over screen since they were kicking my ass but I got nothing.ThaBenMan said:I finally played through it today. It's great - the gameplay is fun, and the dialogue and setting are awesome and hilarious. The only bit I had trouble with was driving the Deuce, just because I don't usually play driving/racing games, but I'll get used to it. And I couldn't get the hang of combos with that girl you meet up with for some reason, but no big deal.
Can't wait for the full version to drop!

Yeah, I was kind of wondering the same thing myself. I guess it's just pretty hard to die? Tim Schafer's games have always seemed to be kind of easy, having stronger art direction and characters, etc. than combat and gameplay. It's still fun, though - I loved chopping those cultists up with the axe.squid5580 said:And did I miss something or is there a HP bar or damage indicator or something? Can you die in it? Oh so did I but it takes a bit away if you can't die for this type of game. Ican understand a game like Psychonaughts not being able to die because it still took skill. And I am really starting to think you can't. There was no health orbs or packs in the demo. I got hit a few times by the boss and it just slowed me down. And what is the point of having higher difficulties if it just means it will take you longer to kill the enemies?ThaBenMan said:Yeah, I was kind of wondering the same thing myself. Actually, I did die once - it was during the giant worm boss, and it was even on easy. It can one-shot you if it hits you while you're not in the car. I'm sure it'll get harder later in the game, too - like, after you start commanding groups of followers, I'm sure if you don't manage them well, you can get overwhelmed and killed.squid5580 said:Oh so did I but it takes a bit away if you can't die for this type of game.
