Today with the increase in uni fees, Scotland was praised for there free university for anyone living in the country for 3+ years ;P

In england tho, the north/south make jokes of each other, norfolk/cornwal/devon/somerset/yorkshire are all joked as farmer people, londoners are all dodgy geezer types, liverpool will nick anything, Hull is the equivilent of Hell + boredom, etc.

For such a small area, england is very regional

Oh dear. Ok, firstly Wales is not part of England. Secondly, I haven't heard any cannibalism jokes about the Welsh, but we do like to insinuate that they shag sheep

Also, there is a huge North South divide in the UK. As such, if you are in either region, it is best to insult the contrasting region with as much vigour as possible so as to endear yourself to the local populace.

I should of said 'of the UK', then. Some people tend to say England like they mean UK and vice-versa, and i think that got ingrained into me along the way.

I think banging sheep is kind of a stock joke, really, be it for Ireland, Alabama, or New Zealand.

I'm the butt of jokes in my circle of friends atm. Because me and this other guy in my circle spend a lot of time gaming/getting drunk/watching films together my friends decided it would be hilarious if they made us gay. So now they mention us being gay together at every oppertunity and there's nothing I can do. If I deny it, it makes me look gay - "Wow, he's really getting pissed off. Maybe he's actually gay?" If I accept it they go "AWWWWW its SO COOL that you guys are ok with being gay"

I rag on the midwest mostly, but I usually mean the stuff I say. The Bible belt is a wretched place. Also being a New Yorker, I kinda rag on the rest of the country as a whole. Sometimes when asked what state Im in, I reply "The best state in the country" and people usually...guess New York. New Jersy I just call "New York's retarted little brother".

This was pretty interesting though, never actually thought about other countries and what they make fun of in terms of regions, though mostly I would probably just think they give the U.S. shit, as that seems to be common, but tends to irk me as it seems to be more ignorant than just mocking.
