I can already feel myself becoming angrier, more sporatic, more spontaneous, more prone to outbursts. Every time I die, I get pissed, and if I get a game where I do well, I don't necessarily feel better, I just don't feel pissed. I had this before when playing MW2, and I think I became happier after I stopped playing.

Is anyone noticing this? I don't want it to happen to me :(

The worst part is, if I want my achievements, I need to get through the campaign on veteran......looks like I'll need some new controllers, and drywall.

This is actually one of the reasons I'm avoiding Call of Duty for a while. The games seem to incite rage when I normally wouldn't rage. Be it from dicks, exploiters, balance issues, or some other issue.

Its just not worth the hassle to me. If others can enjoy it, great, but I just don't want to deal.

Bwuh? The campaign?

It was the easiest and most fun part of MW2, even on Veteran (except for the Favela).

Also, if the game does not bring joy to you - do not play it. No ammount of achievements are worth sitting through something you honestly don't enjoy.

For example, I did not beat the campaign on Veteran in World At War. It frustrated the hell out of me, wasn't fun, I quit.

It's not just the campaign, it's mostly multiplayer; but campaigns make me mad ever since I had to endure the BS of uncharted 2 on crushing.

Black Ops multiplayer, for me, consists of nothing but turning corners and getting killed. A lot.

I swear, you have to wonder how many people are using aim-bots. I mean... am I just that bad and they that good? Sad.
Train against the bots first. If you still get your ass handed to you after that odds are they're cheating, or you just suck and no amount of training can help you :) Either way, see you on the battlefield soldier, I could always use the free experience. Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

Why did you have to "endure" that? Didn't you have to beat it at least once if you unlocked that difficulty? Why play it if it makes you angry and you don't enjoy it?

I can feel the hatred building inside my heart every time I get spawn killed. Seriously, the spawns in Black Ops are the absolute worst in the history of FPS multiplayer. It's unbelievable how often you get spawn killed in BO. 5-10 times a game depending on how lucky you are.

Achievementables! They make you do anything because they're so shiiiiiiiinyyyyy!

And you think Call of Duty inspires rage? Try DotA or Heroes of Newerth. MUCH more rage to be found there.
You know how some games have a learning curve? And there are some games with a learning cliff? Well, Heroes of Newerth has a learning cliff so steep it has an overhang. With 10 year old kids standing at the top insulting your mother.

I rage when I play alone. But when I get with some buddies, it just isn't as infuriating anymore.

I might feel a little defeated but putting Black Ops into my "Has trophies but I won't platinum it" pile but there will be other games. I've gotten to the second to last level on veteran and hit a wall of unfairness. A sense of accomplishment does come from overcoming challenges but it's not worth the aggravation.

The multiplayer doesn't bother me too much. I tend to do pretty well.

This is just an evolved form of the original Counter Strike Rage. At least in COD games you can respawn quicker...

Been there, man. Finally got it though...probably the hardest trophy I've gotten. Did you beat the last boss the cheap way or the right way? Cuz I definitely don't understand how one would beat him straight up. Effing 5 grenades at a time...

More on topic, I've been mad at just about every game I've ever played online...TF2, Uncharted 2, Mod Warfare, Mod War 2, Halo, Killzone 2...I feel like it's just part of playing against other people, some of which are going to just be better than me, and so they kill me, and kill me, and...yeah. I can hold my own, but some people will just beat me, plain and simple. I do think that Black Ops is less rage inducing than Mod 2. There seems to be less cheap tactics, more shooty shooty. The only time I hate the game, not just the other players, is when Nuketown comes up. The map...is the size of a tennis court...wtf...

I've caught myself swearing out loud while playing MW2. In that case scenario, best thing to do is put down the controller, take a deep breath and remember you're in it for the fun; then resume playing; otherwise, it'd be much easier to just ragequit, which just works in that it carries all the anger created by the game to your actual life, which you do not want.
