I'd say any evil career is one that simply can be summed up with one question:

"How big is your commission?"

If the answer is anywhere above 0.0%, then there's a fair shot.

I wasn't trying to make you sound ignorant. I realise plenty of people think the same way you do, and I could easily have been one of them. People nowadays just seem to lack the ability to see both sides of a story.
Personally I've had mostly decent people to deal with at Centrelink, with only a couple of lousy ones. Even then it was more a case of impatience and cynicism which would inevitably come from working at such a place.

Sorry I reacted so strongly, its just that I look at the work that these people do, and I respect them for it, knowing how much patience and self control it would take.
I also can't stress enough how they only enforce the rules and cover their own asses.

It seems however its a simple case of differing experiences. You've never met a decent Centrelink employee, and I've never met a real asshole one.
:)
Well said. I suppose on my initial comment I shouldn't have made such a generalisation. I get bugged when other people do it, but I catch myself doing it as well sometimes. >.<

Lobbyists. They are one of the reasons politicians are increasingly untrustworthy.

The manager at my Panera Bread. He accidently burned an employee with a hot oven-rack But he refused to apologize because "i see my mistake, but I don't agree with the idea of apologies"

WTF does that mean???

Someone should accidentally punch/stab him in the face and say ,"I see my mistake, but I don't agree with the idea of apologies". Either that or sue him. I'm sure he jury will love his line.

Politicians, definitely. Between the Democrats making the economy their ***** and the Republicans doing the same with our civil rights, it's a wonder America isn't doing worse right now.

Anyone working for a Record Company and Lobbyists, you can say what you like but we don't need lobbyists they are only there to bribe and ruin the economy

Roofers are almost universally assumed to be drunks, drug-addicts, thieves, gambling addicts, and are known to cause domestic altercation and DUI arrests. We're also horribly unrealiable, swear and kick puppies, according to popular belief.

Of course, I can pass a drug test and a background check, but don't let me prevent you from judging my trade as a whole.

But yeah, people in computer shops, I always assume they're trying to sell me the more expensive shit.
Be careful, we don't usually go for the most expensive ones. We go for the ones with the most markup/profit. This is because:

of Commission. I make 10% of profit on every one of my sales. That means for every 10 dollars above cost price a unit is, I make a buck. So to me there is absolutely no difference between a computer that costs use 1000 that we sell for 1500, or a computer that we buy for 2200 and sell for 2700. This happens a lot more than you think, by the way. Salesmen are much smarter than you think :)

People who have studied business studies turn out to be rather nice and productive members of society in the end, but here is a list of people who definitely took the wrong turn somewhere:

- big electricity managers especially in Europe
- people who pretend to be clairvoyant enough to predict the stock market especially on TV
- big consultation firms
- the specific blend of investment bankers who lost touch with reality

Well and that's about it. Of course this is a generalization but I think from my personal experience that I recognize a pattern there.

Wow this many pages into a topic and nobody has said it yet. . .

Evil Scientist!

Surely that's a job most people think of as evil right off the bat?

Other than that, Traffic Wardens and Dentists.

You've got to be some form of evil bastard to even consider those professions.

I heard this debate on the radio the other day. I was surprised that telemarketers weren't the top of the list.

The people that work at Centrelink...
Fellow Australians should understand.
In their defence, it isn't them who make the system. They are just ordinary folks trying to make a living like anyone else and are stuck trying to sort through all the bullshit that their superiors make them do
