Above all else, Beast Wars. Mostly because the associated toys were a nice substitute before i discovered Lego.

For me, it was Star Blazers and Robotech. I still love that kind of setting - giant space ship, lots of small fighters out on sorties. When I was a teenager and Wing Commander was released, I very nearly did something messy in my pants. It also kick-started my lifetime love of anime.

The Mysterious Cities of Gold; greatest children's cartoon ever made.

...although from the looks of things you youngsters probably won't remember it.
Ooh, yes, and this one. I can still remember the theme song, this was a fantastic show. Still liked Star Blazers and Robotech better though. :)

There are lots of great shows I remember from childhood, but the one that actually influenced me the most was The Simpsons.

I'm pretty sure that show is why I started playing sax.

Yeah. I actually named my Hunter's King Krush Reptar when I finally tamed him.

For me, there was one magnum opus of cartoons, and it still remains my favourite cartoon. Although now 'Phineas and Ferb' is working on usurping that throne...

Which cartoon is this you ask?

That's right, it's those way-out Wacky Races! Seriously, I fucking worshipped this show when I was a little tyke, and was over-the-moon when I was presented with the DVD boxset of them as a Christmas present by Jordan[footnote]He got his own special present as a thank you that night lemme tell you. Aw yeah.[/footnote].

Honorable mention for cartoons goes to Biker Mice from Mars (an under-appreciated gem of a cartoon I feel), and of course (as a child of the 90s) I have to mention Pokémon.

I watched alot of things like TMNT, Pokemon, Animaniacs etc. But that was just things I watched if it was on and didn't care about. The one I liked was Digimon (I really have to rewatch it...)

X-Men was/still is amazing, easily my favorite cartoon from when I was a kid.
Batman The Animated Series was another one that's as good now as it was when I first saw it.
When I was a kid I though Transformers: Beast Wars was the most amazing looking show ever. That and Reboot were the coolest things on tv.
Then there were zany shows like Animaniacs, Freakizoid, The Tick, and Johnny Bravo which I also loved.

But the one show that I remember the most from when I was a kid, the show that would over a decade later lead me to get into anime, was Digimon. It was fucking amazing. It had tons of characters, awesome looking monsters, cool villains, and that amazing theme song that even when I hadn't watched the show for years still crept into my head ever now and then.
