I searched the forums and couldn't see this kind of topic. So here's a place to confession your game cheating. Unlocked all levels lately? Invincibility for the win? Easy headshots for all? Let it off your chest. I'll confess first.

I used the Missingno cheat in Pokemon Red so I could duplicate my master ball and have my pokemon go past level 100... but then I couldn't enter competitions, I was a distraught 11 year old with a level 112 Nidoran. (I didn't let it evolve)

I used level skip to finish Medieval on PSOne.

Most recently I realised I wasn't smart enough to complete Catherine on Easy so I looked up how to unlock Very Easy. I still needed to youtube some of the puzzles >.>

Most recently, in my first time in Skyrim, I was in possession of both Azura's Star and The Black Star at the same time.

Final Fantasy 7. I greatly abused the item dupe glitch to get Elixers for those pot things.

i'm an unashamed cheater
i expect games to be fun when i want them to in the way i want them to. if i don't think it is fun grinding out 50 million elixer of epicness ingredients or the items i need to craft the sword of kickassery then i consider that poor game design and the fault of the developer for not providing me another option

i have no problem loading up cheat engine or duping the shit out of whatever will save me some of my precious time and allow me to move on to the elements of the game i actually enjoy playing. i will however admit that cheating in some games has completely ruined the experience for me but odds are i would have had less fun if i hadn't cheated

Most recently I used the Skyrim glitch to get max speech...and yes I felt dirty afterwards but it was totally worth it.

All of Saint's Row to with Infinite health, ammo, sprint, and car mass hole enabled (makes the car you drive really heavy so as you hit other things they basically go flying.

I don't feel bad at all for doing this though. I came for the chaos, I stayed for the chaos. Mission Accomplished.

The last time I cheated, I think was almost a year ago, in Starcraft 2.

There comes a time in every mans life when he must say "Screw waiting for money, I want to build 20 battlecruisers, right NOW!".

I Used to toggle tcai when I was getting my ass handed to me in Oblivion. Does Skyrim still have that command?

I use the Huntsman in Team Fortress 2.
But to compensate, I don't always aim for the head with it.

*cough*
I guess it would have to have been Conker's Bad Fur Day?
I decided to dig that up and utilize "unlimited health" and the "press L to float" nonsense that the bots can use.
After diddling around in multiplayer (armies of headless, invincible squirrels fighting Nazi teddy bears) I decided to see how much I could break the singleplayer experience.

It was amazing.

I remember when I was much, much younger and was still playing consoles, I had to cheat to get through Shadow of Rome. Wow, that final Arena was just.. wow, hard as nails. I didn't enjoy being invincible, but I just couldn't beat it otherwise. Ah, great game though. If I ever decide to dust off my old PS2 and play some nostalgic games again, that'll be one of the more exciting ones to return to.

Rome: Total War was another. When I was younger, I didn't really give a fuck about the economy and all that, I was just in it to see hundreds of warriors killing each other on a battlefield (I had never seen such a thing in a video game before. Made the battles in the Return of the King game look small in comparison). I was too young to really learn and understand the campaign mechanics as well, so I'd just cheat me a shitload of money and have at it. Recently, I enjoy campaigns more with the economical and financial sides of things, now I'm old enough to understand and appreciate them, but I did like my mass-army spams back then. Ahh.

I cheated to play through half-life 2 because I kept being confused by the physics puzzles, and sometimes couldn't find my way through a map. I wasn't aware that fpses at the time were meant to have physics puzzles, so I assumed they didn't exist. I tried recently to play through legit but actually got quite bored before reaching ravenholm.

You're not alone there, in a way anyhow. First three times I beat Warcraft 3 it was with the instakill cheat enabled!

I resorted to walkthroughs halfway through The Truth puzzles in Assasins Creed 2. I resort to walkthroughs a lot when confronted with puzzles because I am a moron.

Also did that a lot in Dark Souls when trying to work out how to beat bosses.

When I was playing Xenoblade Chronicle I was most dependant on the quest location and weapons guides. I dare you to do all of the quest WITHOUT looking at the guide at all (that's the only major flaw to that game)!
