Rome: Total War was another. When I was younger, I didn't really give a fuck about the economy and all that, I was just in it to see hundreds of warriors killing each other on a battlefield (I had never seen such a thing in a video game before. Made the battles in the Return of the King game look small in comparison). I was too young to really learn and understand the campaign mechanics as well, so I'd just cheat me a shitload of money and have at it. Recently, I enjoy campaigns more with the economical and financial sides of things, now I'm old enough to understand and appreciate them, but I did like my mass-army spams back then. Ahh.
