Asael raised a brow at the Guard that spoke to him, "Asael Selvrink, and you must be a new guard?" asked the Cynic as he studied his new acquaintance, he wasn't from this prison, Asael could tell considering the fact most of the Guards rarely wasted their time talking to him, usually they just dragged from point A to B when he was supposed to be at a certain point at a specific time.

"So tell me my curious friend, what brings you here now that you would speak with I, is it the ruckus about this place, or are you just here to insult my lack of freedom?" spoke Asael attempting to pry information from the Stranger about the happening within the prison, all the signs said it was heading straight to hell, he just needed confirmation.

"Fischer?! That bastards got his grubby hands over one too many districts. Getting Curtis back is important, but whats more important is to serve that fat hogs head up on a fuckin' plate!" growled Korad as he too stood up with both fists planted on the table, his stance a lot more aggressive than that of Acelle's to his left. Korad was a man of action, not of words. Having worked for all of his life, as a solider in the middle district army, he wasn't used to this level of plotting and planning, in his experience, all he needed was someone to give him a target, then he and his men would kill it, laying down their lives in the process if need be. It wasn't a nice way to live, but it was simpler that way.

Just as Acelle was about to reply to her comrades stern words and placate him, the assassin was rudely interrupted.

"Madame Acelle! I fail to see why you would invite a representative of the mage hunters to this meeting, I have seen Commandant Fischer and while his stench is quite a feat to achieve without use of forbidden magic, he is no sorcerer" interjected Razur, the Mage hunter representative, his face as dismissive and discourteous as ever.

Acelle exhaled loudly, as she brought one of her hands up from the table to massage her throbbing temples, which released some of her urge to gut the man that had interrupted her before she could make her point, a point that would have allayed his concerns if the idiot had let her voice it.

"Fischer is no mage, but his rule keeps many mages in power and he is known to have quite a prolific sorcerer as his closest advisor. You may not have heard this, but I know, on good authority mind you, that the sorcerer Malign Moderse arrived at his main compound last week, I also know that the mage hunters would really, really like to see him in Douab. Thats why, you and the compliment of soldiers that you have hidden throughout the market district will stay here and assist us when we get Fischer. Besides, we wont burn every mage we capture, we need your people to take them off our hands when we run out of stakes.

Jinso, I want you too take Korad and Royce to Cerol, find out what you can about Curtis' location, we'll get him back and only when I see him standing infront of me with my own two eyes will we move on Fischer. Ermain and Drake, gather as many to our cause as you can, we will need them soon. You all know how to reach me and each other. Thats all, any questions? No. Good, get to work" finished Acelle, slamming a fist down onto the table with a crack, before walking off silently and confidently, as she had her own business to attend too tonight, and an old favor to call in.

As Acelle spoke, the passion that drove her crept up in her voice once more, the same passion that had started this whole thing, that same passion that had made Curtis and so many others believe in her and her goal. As she spoke, she looked each of her comrades in the eye, not as a method of intimidation, but to tell them that she had a complete and unwavering trust in them.

Well! I'm pretty proud of that post! Warlord timmy, expect Acelle to appear out of the blue in the near future. Korten feel free to take the lead in the mission, but remember we have to 'pick up' Petron from wherever he is first

Damien sat down, surrounded by men from the Upper District who seemed intent on keeping him protected no matter the cost. Damien was back to his normal self, although the soldiers couldn't seem to break the chains off his wrists, his eyes cat-like and his hair back to its jet-black color with silver streaks. His sword and the rest of his equipment had been found by a lucky guard who had coincidentally stumbled upon them in a different room at Eren Douab. His ring was now swirling with colors as Echo and Omega floated on either side of Damien, casting vicious looks at anyone who came too close. Damien stirred himself from his thoughts to notice one of the soldiers speaking to him, which forced Damien to ask what the guard had said.

"I was saying that Amelia is here, and we were told to come and find you immediately. You were a top priority since you are one of the best mages our Tower has seen in a long time. If you are ready and able though Lord Damien, we would as that you come with us to free any remaining mages from this retched place."

Lord Damien? What has happened to the outside world while I've been locked in here? Damien thought to himself.

"Of course, carry on soldiers, I will follow as readily as I can." Damien said, his voice cracking at some points due to his reluctance to believe any of this was real.

The guards nodded and began a brisk march towards a door that led down into the mines, which was where Damien had been told Amelia had entered Eren Douab, which didn't necessarily surprise Damien at all. Damien stood up and followed behind the soldiers, Echo and Omega springing into action and following on either side of Damien.

Where are you everyone? I plan to rescue all of you today.

(Marco, Eren Douab)

The explosions knocked Marco and the group he traveled with to the ground. Upper District soldiers stormed in behind him and he turned to fight them off. However his energy was gone and the soldiers were more experienced when it came to sword play and he was quickly knocked aside. In the commotion he saw Lorel tear up the stairs and quickly followed behind him. He stumbled up the stairs but got in line with Lorel and removed his helmet. "Lorel! I got free and I'm going to attempt to free the others! It doesn't seem as if they're killing prisoners! Go to where the Upper District is coming from and that should be the exit! I'll meet you outside if it goes well!" Marco broke off and found a room to take his prison armor off so he could stay safe from Upper.

Marco ran upstairs to the Warden's office to look at the prison records for the others. The Warden was gone and the records lied on the desk. He tore the files apart looking for the numbers of the group. 4,232, Velen. 4,237, Asael. Kain's in the torture room; that I know. Running through the battle Marco dodged guards running through to battle Upper. When he reached the cell blocks the prisoners were running out and grabbing arms. Marco found Velen's door and opened it. Nothing? Are you shitting me? Velen? Are you here? In frustration Marco ran out of cell and saw guards and Upper fighting outside the cells along with prisoners fighting with the Upper District. He'll try the torture chamber next.
-------------
(Kain, Eren Douab)

The guards panicked at first when the explosions started but the guards gave no sign of letting Kain down when word arrived that Upper District was attacking."Leave him," The leader said, "We have bigger things to worry about." Suddenly the door opened and a large figure burst through and pulled out two claymores and decapitated two of the guards. The torturer ducked and tried to stab the intruder but the large foe felt no sign of pain. He picked the torturer up and put his two hands on his head and crushed it. The large man approached Kain and seemed to sniff him. After a few sniffs the man roared and pulled Kain right off his ropes and held him by his throat. "Kain Whitestroke, male. I've hunted you for over a year. Your friends aren't around and I have the advantage. I'm the Hunter and today will be your last." The Hunter muttered. Kain fired back with a question, "I thought you couldn't speak. I read your file." "I learned from the previous year. No more questions, now you will die." The Hunter menacingly responded as he squeezed Kain's neck.

"I, am an opportunist of fate." Lazlo said, he crouched down so he was at eye level with Asael.
Suddenly his facial features returned to normal, and he was no longer the rich noble, but looked at Asael as he was. An equal. The hair began to fall out to reveal the bald head and his age seemed to be reduced by ten or so years. His eyes changed colors from brown to blue and his jaw line became less pronounced.

He thought for a moment. He would risk it..... "Lazlo Mercer, Gentleman Thief, and a potential liability." The last line just sort of came out. He knew he had no way of winning Asael`s trust right away, so he might as well be straight forward about it.
"So why are you in here? What do they say you did?" (he didnt want to sound presumptuous and knew that many were locked in Eren Douab wether or not they deserved to be.)

Asael was rather impressed as Lazlo's features shifted, and felt a sense of respect for this man as he crouched down to look at the Cynic with equality, "pleasure to make you're acquaintance Mr Mercer, and even for a potential liability you are a rather interesting sort" spoke Asael with a grin, this conversation a delightful change of pace to the usual dialogues he held with his fellow inmates and guards.

"As for why I'm here, I'm a man who's guilty as sin to these people, and I know it all to be true" explained Asael with a cold expression, "I dared to fall in love Mage, I dared to associate with another to gain the chance to avenge her death, and I'm guilty of not giving in to the torture and games of mind that these Hunter love to play" continued Asael as he looked Lazlo dead in the eye.

"It's essentially an awfully boring tale, now my question Lazlo, Gentleman Thief, is what are you're reasons for infiltrating a place like this?"

Velen---

?Holy Shit! Did you know this was going to happen?? Yelled Velen as they ran.

?I was tipped off, as I said I will explain everything later. We aren?t clear out of the blue yet!? They continued down the streets of Ferela. People alongside them running from the battlefield that now engulfed Eren Douab.

Lorel---

After seeing Marco, they continued. They couldn?t go down through the entrance, Amelia would see them and make sure that he is killed. With her kind of magic, he wouldn?t be surprised if she knew his location at that exact moment. Going up the stairs, he passed by Mage Hunters who were more focused on the Upper soldiers. Though some ran and killed some prisoners to make sure if Upper wins they have less to get.

As they went he felt as if he was being watched.

Amelia---

Standing in the giant hole in the wall, in her golden armor with the Foel symbol on her breastplate, she commands her troops. ?Go in there, faster! We need to take this place down, free all mages, and give them the chance to come with us!? She screamed.

For a moment she began to focus her magic, which being an Ultimate Tier mage, allowed her to feel the presence of all people in the tower to event he small bugs that lurked. Bringing up her arm she shot out a large blast of thunder.

?There you?re!?

Lorel---

Suddenly he felt a huge surge of magic and looked down at a large thunder blast flying right at him. Running faster, he made it out of the way as it slammed into the stairs, literally leaving no remnant. Catching a glance down he saw her.

Amelia! How did she? Wait? More like how didn?t she?

Sweat began to run down his face, he began to get slower, and it felt like Itsuka was getting heavier. But the odd feeling that someone was watching him didn?t go away. It wasn?t coming from Amelia. As they reached the third floor, which had a whole ground level ,they sat for a moment and rested. Oddly the mage prisoners who hadn?t been freed yet continued to work as if nothing was going on.

He was dumbstruck, maybe he understood why they didn?t when he rebelled, but not this.

?Itsuka, I need to get you out of here. I don?t think we can worry about Marco, Kain, and Asael. Velen can handle himself, at least I hope.?

Velen---

After a bit they reached far enough and stopped in an ally way which Velen hoped he would get answers. ?So Mar why you are here? Why did you get me and no one else??

?No one else? You had friends in there? I am sorry my Intel was limited to just you.? Mar spoke as if nothing was happening.

?That doesn?t matter, what I heard: ?An old friend having friends with our Council?? or something along those lines. How do you? You oppose Mage Hunters, despite being normal.?

Mar looked at him straight in the eyes. ?Two years ago, before defecting from the Nu?ve, I was an undercover agent in Mage Hunters. When I left, after mission completed, I left in a way that made it seem as if it was natural. That?s how I know them.?

?Defecting from the Nu?ve? What I am so confused? Why did you-? Velen asked dying to know more.

?That is a story for another time.?

Lorel---

Just as they were about to get ready, Upper soldiers rampaged up the stairs and out onto the third level floor. They pointed at Lorel and began to rush at him swords and maces waving. Lorel?s energy was fleeting, his vision blurring. His energy was dangerously low, the rest wasn?t enough.

Suddenly though the soldiers fell over, blood flying from their backs. As they fell to the ground, Lorel saw what was behind them.

A girl stood, finger nails as sharp as blades. In completely white, she stood, with chain mail showing at parts. As he looked up more features were revealed. Glowing red eyes, pale skin, and sharp teeth.

?It?s good to see you Lorel, wish it was in better conditions.? Her voice immediately was recognized by Lorel.

?Ma? Malina??

Lazlo could only give a chuckle. "A man after my own heart." He murmered upon Asael`s mention of torture.
"As for my reasons, well sometimes you simply have to through yourself out into rough seas in order to sail to the right destination, if you follow what Im saying."
He took the lock in one hand and began to turn it over, examining it casually. He wanted to make sure it wasnt a collapsing pin, a recent engineering development that forced a lock permanently shut should one attempt to break the inside mechanisms of the lock with force.

It appeared not to be. He was in the clear.
"Basically what Im saying is..." Suddenly he mustered a short sharp burst of Psi energy, destroying the insides of the lock, which idly slipped open. "... I, like God, do not play with dice and do not believe in coincidence, only the illusion of coincidence. Its a pleasure to make your acquaintance..."
He slid open the cell gate. His mood seemed to perk up, and went from low, sullen tones to a somewhat brighter, more cheerful one. A cunning look on his face, he stood by the door holding it like a doorman, giving a slight bow, ushering Asael out the door.

"What say we walk you out of this place, hmm? Keep the shackles on till we are in the clear. Ill just tell them Im..." He stroked his chin for a brief moment. "Transferring a volatile "package" to a secure zone. Yes, that will certainly sound the part."

Asael watched as Lazlo removed the lock with a burst of power, and mustering a grateful smirk as he stood up, walking out of his cell as per Lazlo's invitation, "Lazlo Mercer, you are a man worthy of respect, and I'am, to put it bluntly, in you're debt" spoke the Cynic as he listened to the chaos that seemed to be drawing closer, "why don't we put that delightful proposal of your's into action, I think we both could do with a change in scenery" suggested Asael hoping that this one shot at freedom would not be compromised.

Warees Blackwood / Amora Zanas

It was in the cover of darkness, underneath a veil of storm clouds and the thick, industrial fog that hung in the skies over the slums of Amphira, that a pair of the city's most vile of criminals made their way through the sea of people swarming the streets throughout the market, the two slipping through the crowds with relative ease. It surprised the leader of the two to no end that they had gone uninterrupted in their stroll through the ghetto, during which they arranged and organized countless small groups of criminals aiding their scheme, but the petite woman beside him lacked that same amazement, her face lacking emotion or, for that matter, care for how the plan went to begin with. The two made an unusual team, having not one similarity between them beside their pension for destruction, but the girl was chosen by the captain himself to accompany him during the attack that was about to begin, if only due to the woman's unique knowledge of the arcane arts and her skill in utilizing supernatural wizardry that was a rarity among those on the opposite side of the law.

The larger of the two, none other than the infamous, assumed dead pirate Warees Blackwood, scanned his eyes, hate-filled and bloodshot, over the masses in front him, watching the waves of people without care, catching a few of the glances directed his way but felt satisfied that none of those whom paid even an inkling of attention to him realized who he truly was. He smiled to himself, a thick wad of chewing tobacco and flavored with the unrefined pulp of coffee beans underneath his lower lip shifting as he did so, a thick, black sludge coating his teeth. The pirate was, in all senses of the word, anxious, his mind racing with all the possible outcomes of the attack, but remained calm physically, the only sign of unease being the stiffness of his posture. The woman, however, took notice to his discomfort, and saw fit to toy with him.

"You know, sir, if this doesn't work out," the woman started, her head turning towards the captain, "chances are you'll die here of all places, amongst a pile of filth with an arrow in you're ba-"

"I brought you here to act as a guard and to alert the crew, not to be a *****," Warees interrupted, "if you're intending to be the latter, I advice keeping the smart remarks to yourself, Amora, unless you want to be buried with the rest of those that will be slain here in a massive, unmarked grave."

"Yeah, sure, whatever..." the woman muttered, Warees' threat not being taken as seriously as he wished it to be, "Hey, remind me again, why are you attacking this shithole of all places?"

"I have a better question, for you, why does it fucking matter?" the captain replied, chuckling to himself, "I found this spot fitting because of its lack of much in the way of defensive measures, it's full of scum that would rebel against the upper-class if given the chance and, considering the current state of this whole fucking city, probably will if provoked, thus the government won't give two fucks if this place gets sent straight to hell. That's the real, goddam reason, it's convenient. It doesn't matter where we attack, really, it's just that this place is an effortless target, not to mention overcrowded, thus meaning a hell of a lot more people will die here then if we attacked one of the less populated areas of this forsaken, fucking mess we call home. It should go without saying that one big massacre, specifically one as quick as the one about to be orchestrated, will make us famous, not to mention rich if the ***** from the upper districts decides to actually pay up."

"Ah, I see, the deaths of hundreds are for no other reason than to promote yourself? Yeah, I could get behind it, sure, I like the idea, in fact, I'm sure we'd be able to steal a lot of shit in the process too..." Amora began to think, not about the operation and the lack of regard for human life behind it, but about the potential gain for her. It was pure instinct for her, a remnant of her past life as a thief and assassin, which disgusted her greatly, but accepted that an opportunity like this would never arise again, which was more than enough to persuade her to take part in this whole attack. "Alright, let's get it underway then, shall we?"

"Well, Amora, you're the one with the power to set up a signal, so whenever you're ready feel free to throw a fireball or some shit like that, the fuckin' idiots we've got scattered about the area are just looking for some fire, so do whatever you want..."

It was without hesitation the small woman, whom up until kept her motions calm and subtle, threw her arm up towards the heavens, a mess of black tendrils whipping outward from her arm as if an eldritch beast was trying to rip itself from her body. The shadowy tongues lashed high into the air then, upon reaching their peak, exploded in a magnificent, otherworldly display of violet flames, raining fire down from the skies onto the streets below. It was only a mere moment after the sudden display of power that those within the streets began to evacuate, the surrounding area beginning to echo with the thunderous boom of explosive ordinance. All throughout the port, from blocks upon blocks away, he could feel the ground shake beneath him with each house that went up in smoke and flames, the cluster of wooden shanties being ripped to shreds underneath the force of primitive bombs.

It took only a few seconds after the signal was set off that the entire waterfront fell into a cacophony of destruction and riots, a thin smirk covering Warees' face as he gazed towards the horizon, watching the chaos unfold in front of his very eyes. Amora stood, at the pirate's side, watching along with him as the world around them burned to cinder. In a bit, the two would proceed to join the fight, but, for now, the captain wished to enjoy the view...

Tis great isn't it, hence why I'm making a post as the Commandant now. Btw, I think you got the wrong thread here bud XD

Commandant Fischer

It had been a fruitless interrogation session, yet despite the fact that his work of the past three hours had amounted to nothing but a hateful look, Fischer had still taken great pleasure in his work. The preliminary beating was just a half-hour warm-up for the Commandant and his 'friend', shortly after, he had broken out his array of sadistic, bloodstained torture devices, all of which made out of solid gold, all of which designed and commissioned by the Commandant himself.

The next hour had been nothing but pleasure for the Commandant, and from when he first he cracked his prisoners knuckles like nuts, to the final burn he'd inflicted on the mans broken torso at the end, the Commandants sick little smile hadn't faded. Miraculously the man was still not just alive at the end of it, but he was still resilient, having not shed a single tear or even let out any indication of his pain.

He would be a fun little project, but Fischer knew he could break the man, as he had done with countless men before him, it was just a matter of time.

"How did the interrogation go my liege? Did he spill anything?" croaked Fischer's mage advisor and watcher, Malign. The man seemed to appear out of nowhere, as he so often did and it was always from the place he had least suspected and often a place he had passed his gaze over previously.

'Bloody mage, keeping skulking about, watching my every move, reporting everything to his High-fucking-council' thought the Commander bitterly, as he made no attempt to hide the look of disgust and hatred on his face.

"No he didn't and don't you start saying you can use magic to loosen his lip, I'll not have that under my command!" snapped Fischer, hoping to see a visible effect on Malign's wrinkled, devious face, but as usual, he saw nothing.

It was a mystery how the man always remained so calm.

"As you wish. But I advise you, the Council won't be happy with one of their top commanders willfully delaying his own investigation" replied Malign's even, yet chilling voice.

"You fucking listen to me, I am doing this investigation my way and if the Council doesn't like that, they can fuck themselves!"

"Yes my liege, as you wish" said the sorcerer, as he turned to leave, just before getting halted by a sharp 'Oi!'.

"I ain't done with you, tell the criers to decree that Commandant has something to show them in the main square in three weeks time, he'll make his little 'freedom fighter' sing for the crowd.

"As you wish"

And with that, the sorcerer disappeared out of view and as Fischer turned his head so that he could attempt to keep Malign in his gaze, he was surprised to see the man had vanished.

'Fucking sneaky weasel, one day, I'll cut that bastards toes off, one by one, then I'll...' and so the Commander carried on his chain of thought, as he walked off to his personal dining room, a hearty dinner and a sumptuous whore no doubt awaiting him there.

(Kain, Eren Douab)

"Oh there you are Kain." Said a charming, smooth voice. Kain in his pained state looked past the Hunter and saw the one man he didn't want to see, Nier. Kain struggled to get out the Hunter's grip but in his weakened state it did little more then annoy the Hunter. "You and Marco, are close to becoming quite an inconvenience for me. I knew some way or another this prison would fall and you two would escape but I must say it's been a long time since I've killed. The guards here were little challenge but it was quite refreshing." Nier slyly remarked. He motioned for the Hunter to drop Kain and he fell to the ground. Kain quickly attempted to get up and grab a sword but was knocked down by Nier. Two Upper District Mages entered the torture room, "Any problems Nier?" Nier looked back with his foot on Kain's neck, "None at all boys. Would you mine leaving a bit? I have some catching up to do here with a dear old friend." The Mage's bowed and exited the room leaving Nier, the Hunter, and Kain. While Nier's head was turned away Kain latched his foot on a sword and thrust it upwards at Nier. The Hunter caught the sword and broke the blade. "Nice try kid. Come on Kain we have some catching up to do." Nier whispered as he hoisted Kain up by his throat. Suddenly electricity flowed through Kain and shocked his entire body. Again Kain's screams echoed through out the room. "Kain I thought you were tougher then that!" Nier taunted. Nier dropped Kain on his knees as he recovered from the shock.

Nier took out a handle from his back. Two blades folded out from it and became a double bladed sword. The point of the blade reached Kain's neck and he reared back to avoid a puncture. Kain pushed the blade away and picked up a sword by him and blocked another attempt by Nier to stab him. "There you go Kain! A little fight it's about time!" In an instant Nier had vanished and was already behind Kain. Kain dodged and threw up a swing with his sword. Nier effortlessly parried the attack and kicked Kain in his lower abdomen. Kain ran forward to stab but Nier blocked and brought Kain's arms up high; then he extended his fingers and poked Kain's throat. "This is pathetic Kain, I'm going to end this now." Nier punched the air and a fist of flame punched Kain. Nier shot another fireball and Kain was launched out of the room into the hallway, his chest burned and smoke seeping out of it.

One of Nier's blades was stabbed into his chest Nier lifted Kain up with the sword in one hand. Kain slid on the sword closer to Nier and blood oozed out on the sword. In a last ditch effort Kain swung his sword down onto Nier. However Nier raised his hand, covered with flames, and shattered the sword. "Before you die I must ask; is Marco around?" Nier inquired. Another voice came from behind Nier and a sword perched on Nier's shoulder, "Turn around and maybe you'll see." Smiling, Nier jolted the handle and Kain slid off the front blade of the sword. Suddenly Nier turned and twisted the blade at Marco's feet. He jumped and brought his sword down towards Nier. Nier blocked it and kicked Marco out in the face. The two fought and exchanged attacks until Marco was brought to the wall. The two clashed swords and Nier twisted the handle to lose Marco's grip on his weapon. In an instant Nier grabbed Marco's arm and cut off his hand.

Marco fell and clutched the stump now residing on the end of his arm and yelled in agony. Nier looked at his two enemies on the ground and laughed maniacally.

"Indeed" Lazlo said as he put a hand on Asaels shoulder, as if he were leading the prisoner about. They made their way to the main floor. A group of guards were holding position at the door. Time seemed to slow as they approached. Lazlo heart raced as he braced himself for the worst. Each step lasted an eternity.

Eventually they made their way to the door. To Lazlo's relief, the man in charge only nodded and signaled for a heavy iron door to be opened. It swung wide to reveal an armored carriage. Lazlo put Asael in the cell compartment and took a seat up by the driver. The little carriage was soon on its way.

It wasnt long before it suddenly stopped, and from the inside a large thump was heard as the driver fell, unconscious, to the ground. The door opened and Lazlo ushered him out. They were about a quarter of a mile away from Eren Douab. Lazlo quickly unlocked Asaels shackles.

Disbelief filled Asael's body with every inch conquered enroute to freedom, and while the entire situation felt surreal Asael did his best to keep cool and play what remained of his part as a prisoner in his tale.

It was only when he sat back in the carriage that he started to realize the gravity of the situation he was to be free again, and the Cynic was not going to run from the oaths he hid in the past any longer, and for all it was worth he had Lazlo to thank for it all as the Gentleman Thief ushered him out of the carriage.

Asael took a long hard look at his hands after he was unshackled, taking account of the scars they left, and the pentagram shaped brand on is hand, but in spite of all that the prison marked him with, he felt a sense of awakening "I owe this to you Mr Mercer, you have my gratitude, and I would offer you my blade but it's long since been misplaced" spoke Asael with a smirk as he reclaimed his pre prsion posture.

Asael took a final glance at Eren Douab, and reassured himself that the other where capable of handling themselves, "so Lazlo Mercer, Gentlman Thief, what is next step in this venture of ours?" asked Asael with grinning as he glanced back at the Man who freed him.

Damien was almost to the lower levels when an unwanted interruption stopped the column of soldiers escorting Damien downstairs. The interruption appeared in the form of two robed figures, each covered in magical aura's that nearly rivaled that of Amelia or Damien... nearly. The guards stopped, and began drawing their weapons before captain stepped forward and whispered something to the robed figures. There was an apparent reply, because at that moment the captain backed down and ordered his men to return to combat. As the guards rushed downstairs, Damien was left alone with the two figures on the stairs, each seemingly dangerous in their own way, but not showing any hostility towards Damien.

"What is it that you want from me?" Damien finally asked, deciding that the silence had gone on long enough.

"Don't you remember an old ally Damien? One who swore his life to your cause?" A familiar voice asked.

One of the hooded figures let his dark black hood fall back, to reveal spiky blonde hair and cat-like eyes. It was Edward, the man who until just now, Damien had thought dead. The other figure lowered his hood as well, revealing a man of about the same age, but with long red hair with silver streaks in it.

"Edward? But how... I thought Kid had run you through over in the Abandoned West Coast?" Damien gasped, going down the steps slowly, looking to see if this was some sort of illusion.

"Kid did run me through, and they held a formal funeral in my honor. It was a closed casket funeral, due to Amelia announcing that: 'Edward's body was mutilated by an unknown assailant while on a recovery expedition with one of his comrades.' Pathetic if you ask me, but I had no say in the matter, in fact nobody besides you and Aberon here know that I still live. The time for details will come later, but for now we are to make the guards here at Eren Douab pay for their crimes." Edward said, uncovering his body from its dark confines to reveal striking clawed gauntlets and a glaive that rested nicely on Edwards back.

Aberon, the shorter of the three, undid his cloak as well and allowed his body to be shown in the light. He carried a quiver and a number of master fletched arrows, along with a masterpiece of a longbow. A wicked knife was attached to the string around his chest, and he looked like he knew exactly how to use it.

"I see that you both came knowing what was going to happen and who you were going to find here?" Damien asked, pulling up his sleeves and revealing the pulsating chains around his wrists.

Edward walked up the steps and sliced clean through the shackles, a crackle of power rippling behind his claws as the sliced through the metal as if it were butter.

"We had heard a few rumors as to where the mighty Damien Matthews had disappeared to, and we decided to sneak in along with the guards and Amelia."

Damien nodded and began heading back up into the upper layers of Eren Douab, his eyes filled with a new-found confidence and his gloved hands circling with energy that crackled and sparked. These guards had tortured him for nearly a year, and now Damien was going to make every last one of them pay... if need be he would reduce this place to what the Abandoned West Coast looked like.

(Kain, Eren Douab)

Nier ceased his laughter while still holding a smile as he looked down at his two enemies defeated. "Should we take them in Nier?" One of the mages nearby asked. Nier lifted one his blades over Kain as he responded, "Yes. Take them out and tell our mage recollection officer that these two are enemies of the state and are to be transported to the Upper District." Noticing the Hunter growing restless Nier calmed him down, "Don't worry you're still going to be killing Kain." Looking down over Kain he glanced around, "Just for good measure." Nier stabbed his blade through Kain's chest. As Kain screamed in agony Nier smirked as he ordered his men to grab Kain and Marco. Marco was still bleeding heavily from his hand used to be but Nier didn't seem to care.

Kain and Marco were slung over the shoulders on the two Mages. I'm going to die. Even if I don't die from blood loss execution is certain at the Upper District. Can't believe how much I miss my cell. It's been two minutes since Marco's hand was gone; his life was running out. Nier was gone killing the remainder of the prison guards as was the Hunter so Kain had nothing to lose with his next action. In what felt like instinct, Kain wrapped his arm around his carrier to choke him. Before his partner could react Kain grabbed the knife sheathed on his captured Mage's pocket and threw it at the other Mage. He fell over dead and Marco dropped like a rag doll on the ground. "Marco!" Kain yelled after breaking the Mage's neck and rushed to Marco's side. He's going to lose too much blood! Kain grabbed a burning torch hung on the wall and thrust the fire onto Marco's bleeding stump. Marco screamed again in pain but quickly fell unconscious again. Kain lifted Marco and swung Marco's shoulder over his own. The blood from his own wounds were getting to him and blood still clung to Kain's chest.

Even with their injuries it was easy to make through the battle without further harm coming to them but they still didn't make it far before exhaustion came over Kain. Sweating and out of breath he noticed he was near the entrance to the roof. A ladder leading up to a trap door up top. Well how am I getting Marco up? Kain started whispering to Marco, "Marco? Marco? I know how much pain your in but I need you to climb this. Marco!" Well, shit. Kain hoisted Marco up even more and held one hand around his waist as he climbed up the ladder. Each bar of the ladder made his body feel like his bones were made of knives. They finally reached the top and Kain opened the trap door and felt cool, polluted air flow through his face. He climbed up and hoisted Marco up onto the roof and felt himself falling asleep. No! Stay awake there has to be a way out! Kain stumbled up and looked around the area/ Fighting took place outside but Kain took notice of one of the walls blown out and prisoners rushing to join Upper District. He saw horses near the wall too, ridden by Upper District soldiers.

Kain smiled and grabbed Marco, "Don't worry Marco. I think I know how we're getting out of here."

Malina---

The night Malina left the dance a year ago, she started to change. She began to get training in combat, and such, and began to do strange activities, and then went onto convince people that she wished to kill Lorel herself because of how he ?betrayed them,? but this wasn?t how she really felt. No, she was wearing a mask of hatred that everyone fell for. When Amelia announced they would be striking Eren Douab, Malina volunteered. Intel she had gathered told her that Lorel was in the prison, this would be her chance.

Lorel---

?What the hell are you doing here?? Lorel asked in awe and shock.

Malina didn?t respond for a moment, in shock a bit of herself that the Intel she got was right. ?Here to rescue you of course!?

Lorel looked around to see if anyone was with her. ?Why? I mean, why go so far for me? I neglected you, I you were so kind to me as we were kids, and it was noticeable that you had a crush on me that was real despite the marriage thing, and I didn?t return anything but isn?t this going a bit far? No offense.?

?I? I just don?t know there was a sort of connection I had with you. One-sided maybe, but it was real. I can?t really explain it.? She spoke softly, almost with an embarrassed tone, which was sort of out of place in the current situation.

?Whatever ? can you help me? My friend Itsuka, she has come down with Magic Sickness. If I can?t get her out of here and remove the chain bracers, then she will die. I will also get it if we don?t hurry!? Lorel began to pick up Itsuka and move.

?Okay- I was just here for you, but I guess this will do. Don?t worry, I got a plan.?

Lorel stopped and looked at her for a moment. ?Last time I remember when we were kids your plans never went so well. Ever.?

?Don?t worry this one is surely to succeed!? She began to also help lift Itsuka.

?What is it?? Almost impressed if true.

?We?re going to the South!?
