Damien materialized int he middle of a fort, where people rushed about their lives despite his sudden appearance in their midst. He looked around to see if he could find Edward, but only saw two armored guards walking towards him with serious looks on their faces. They each carried two large sword on their backs, and they bore dark black armor. They weren't wearing their masks, or Damien wouldn't have been able to tell them apart.
"Are you Damien?" They asked simultaneously.
"Yes, and I'm going to assume Edward sent you to get me?" Damien asked, being asked to follow the guards before they spoke again. They led him towards one of the larger buildings in the fort, one that had its back to a mountain and its large oak doors shut due to the cold.
"Yes, Lord Edward and Lord Aberon assumed that you would appear here in the center of the village, since you haven't been shown around. That will come later, but for now Lord Edward wishes to see you." The guard said, refusing to say much more until they opened the large double doors that led into the building.
"They are just inside, open that larger door at the end of the corridor and they are just in there... although they may be in the middle of asking the newer recruits questions." The guard said, pointing down the hallway to the large doors at the end of the corridor.
Damien nodded and entered the building, only to turn around again when the large double-doors slammed shut behind him, leaving him in utter silence and almost complete darkness except for a few torches that lay in brackets throughout the hallway. The burned with an unreal flame, and the gave Damien chills when he looked long enough at them. He shook the thought off, and proceeded down the hallway, noting that not only the larger doors at the end of the corridor were here. Other doorways were scattered through the hallway, but all of them were closed. The building was well decorated, housing many fine decorations including the rug that Damien was now walking on.
Damien arrived at the large doors, and opened them without hesitation. He was greeted by a large circular room with many torches lining the walls and a large window that let in much natural light. Three thrones sat at the far side of the hall, and a staircase lay behind it, leading both up and down. A few many knelt in the center of the hall, Edward standing over them and speaking to them in slightly harsh tones. His face brightened when he saw Damien though, ushering him over and in front of the kneeling soldiers.
"This is your Lord Damien. He will be in control of all of you when the need arises or whenever he feels like it. With his help our fort will become more powerful and we will have more supplies to aid in our goals... not to mention now that he's here it is time for our first raid." Edward grinned, ushering the others out so that he, Damien and Aberon were alone once more.
"This place is quite impressive." Damien said, smiling as he examined the artwork carved into the stone floor.
"Indeed, we found it and now its ours. We do have a favor to ask of our new lord though... we are in need of new supplies and the we must also make ourselves known to the Upper District." Edward said, his eyes pleading with Damien.
"So what you want is for me to lead an attack on the Upper District?" Damien asked, "or a lesser district here in the north?"
"Exactly, if you sack a village here in the north, we can gather more supplies and we will become known. You don't have to do it ye-"
"I'll be ready tomorrow. Alert the troops that are coming with me to be prepared tomorrow as well. I will need a full nights rest, so I will be in my chambers which are..." Damien cut off, looking at Edward for guidance.
"Up the stairs behind us. Your room is the very last one, center of the hall so its easy to find. You should find all of your belongings there, and something special that you left behind." Edward said with a smile, motioning for Damien to leave and get some rest, "Your troops will be ready in the morning."
Damien nodded and quickly left the hall, finding his room at the top of the stairs and opening his mouth in shock as he saw who was inside. A rush of wind and he was being hugged as someone began crying into his shoulder. He smiled and gave Myra a hug, closing the door behind them and letting her go.
"Missed me?" Damien said sarcastically, earning him a playful smack across the face.
"Of course, do you know that the entire City has believed you dead for the past year? I thought you died when Kid disappeared." Myra said, which led Damien to believe she thought Kid was alive as well.
"Well enough for today, I'm sure your tired. After all, your leading your army to war tomorrow." Myra laughed playfully as Damien fell over exhausted on the double bed in the room. He was out in a matter of seconds.
