"Well if you are interested in a subtle escape, I am all for it. However, I have unfinished business in this area. IF any of you want to join me for a little rebellious fun, the company and skill would be appreciated."

Lazlo had simmered down. Now much more at ease, he spoke his mind again.
"IT is dangerous, so I wont ask any of you to join me, but the invitation is open. If not, name the time and place and I will catch up with you all."

Malina---

They entered the room and placed Lorel on a bed, she looked over the man who asked the question. ?We don?t know, for some reason these red marks appeared on him with blood flowing out. I will tell you the whole story later.? Malina just then realizing her shoulder was pure red with blood on it.

Going to have to wash this now?

But without even able to move, Itsuka used a spell that cleansed her outfit.
Itsuka quickly told who each person was, except for the other person.

?To the south? We were planning on going there as well. I got a place, I know we can stay. The Forest District. A strange little place, that is covered in all tree?s, almost like a giant green house. One of a kind. Part of the few places Mages aren?t attacked in the south.?

Itsuka turned to Asael, who was most likely the person with the info on the other man. ?Asael, who is this person??

Velen---

?So what are we doing?? Velen said, leaning against a wall in an ally, while Mar paced back and forward. The man was much older, then he was when he first met Velen. Now he sported a full short beard, his eyes, slightly dull colored, and wrinkle.

?I don?t know, I wasn?t expecting this turn of events. But it would explain why you were in Eren Douab.?

Velen cocked his head. ?You didn?t ask them why I was captured??

?No, I did not. Why? I honestly didn?t know. Didn?t think it would be important. Assumed it might have had to be because of your work with various resistances and friendly towards mages. Something around those.?

They could hear the sound of battle getting louder, it was starting to spread, and without a word, Mar walked off. Velen perused. ?Mar, where are you going??

?Follow, you will know when we get closer. I got an idea.?

Lorel---

After the class, they had a free period. Lorel went to the school arena, where students would spar for classes and for competition to prepare for the tournament. Though he was tired, and didn?t wish to do much. So he sat in the benches around the arena.

In the arena, fellow students were training, but then suddenly it got ugly. A couple of Mage Pro?s as students dubbed students who were in advanced classes, ganged up on a Mage Regular. In the arena, mages had armor on that gave them magic protection layers, very powerful, but even that can fall to be hitting enough.

So the beating began, the Pro?s began to use their magic on the Regular. The protection layers save him from being burned to crisp but he still felt the pain. What made things worse, was there was others in the arena and benches but no one was doing it. After enough hits, Lorel stood up, he couldn?t take it anymore and went down into the arena. The Pro?s immediately noticed him and drew their attention from the Regular.

?Look at it boy?s, Lorel Ion, son of a Noble family. A Regular despite all of his power. I think he wants us to stop.?

Lorel made his way towards the Pro?s. ?You know, for an idiot, you sure are able to use some big words like ?Noble?, I am shocked.?

?Your insults fall low, I think we should teach him a lesson for stepping into our arena.?

?Your Arena? Huh, didn?t realize they gave it to you. Well I guess this will make your beating all the more pleasant.?

Lorel threw out his arms and they lit on fire. The battle began then.

Asael looked over at Itsuka with a raised brow, "this is my new Best Mate, and I have a debt outstanding considering what he did for me about six or seven hours ago" spoke Asael with his usual tone of voice, leaving it up to Lazlo to add transparency to his name, Lazlo would probably be more comfortable that way.

"So I'm going to be sticking with him, him and I seem to have a common goal for this city, now I'm not exactly the type to ask for a favor........." Asael paused and glanced at everyone in the room before stopping at Itsuka, "........so I'm tell you would could all benefit if you aided us in the present, and our future endeavour," spoke Asael as diplomatically as possible, finally putting to use some of the lessons his long dead brother taught him about negotiations.

Korad

"Whoah woah, Jinso! Stand down, there's no need to hurt her" said Korad firmly as he pushed passed his partner to get to Natel, putting his hand on the mans chest as a gesture to back off as he did so.

Once he reached the injured woman, he lowered himself until he was at her level and helped her sit up, just in time to receive a punch in the face from the woman he was helping.

"What the fuck do you want here Korad? The new bosses of this district have got nothing on me! You got nothing on me" spat Natel at Korad, as she also literally spat at him, the glob landing on his cheek, to be wiped away moments later.

"Is that any way to talk to an old friend Natel? And besides, I'm not part of the guard and I'm certainly not working with the Upper district, me and my associate Jinso here need your assistance"

"Fuck each other"

"Listen, lets not play games, I'm sorry for what happened between us, but cant you put that aside? Listen, the Upper district is nothing but a plague, for the middle district, the city even! I'm working with some like-minded people too-"

"Ah, I'd heard rumours you were with the Green band" interrupted Natel, her tone changing suddenly, as she struggled to her feet and sat on the corner of the small desk that sat in the center of the room, near a large window.

Korad remembered that outside that window used to be a beautiful park, with vibrant meadows of green, where the children came to play and the adults who had been freed of their labours came to relax, however, that was no longer, as the park had been desecrated and turned into a makeshift detention centre and scaffold for executions. It was a sign of why the Upper district must be stopped.

"You guys actually seem like you have a chance, which is why I haven't been giving Fischer any information on you, as your too 'illusive'... Which is of course bullshit"

"So your on our side? If you are, we need to know the location of one of our captured men, a man named-"

"Curtis, I know, and I'll tell you, on one condition" interrupted Natel again, a sly smile on her face.

"I dont like those Upper district shits any more than you do, and they pay horribly. But if I were to get a new patron, who offered protection and a sizeable increase in funding, I could offer them my services as an information broker"

"Done" said Korad, a slight smile appearing on his face too.

"Now, tell us what you know" he continued, placing a hand on her shoulder, only to have it roughly taken off, and to receive another punch in the face.

"Dont. Anyway, about your man....."

Sorry I've been sparse on the posting lately, a bout of depression and a four day hangover are horrible things for inspiration, but needless to say, I'm back now, though I am awaiting a minor time skip, so all the players can be ready and waiting for the end of this little arc

(Kain, Ferela)

Marco shook his head at the offers Lazlo and Asael offered as did Kain. "Not at the moment but if our plans in the South work out then we may help you. Otherwise..." Marco paused looking at Kain, "...If it doesn't work then I'm afraid we won't see any of you again." He finished. "I'm done with revolution business at the moment I just want to bring my skills back to use. As does Kain with his. We'll be taking over a business down South run by a skilled Broker; one of the best nothing of interest in the South escapes his notice. I'll take over and bring operations up North." Marco explained and then picked up into more explanation of his plans, "If it works out I'll find you all."

Malina---

?What is this endeavor of yours? What is it that you?re planning?? Malina being from Upper, despite not being sided with them, she was still got a sense of worry from the two men.

Itsuka announced to them all. ?Everyone this is Malina, she was from Upper, like Lorel but is no more on their side. Just thought to point that out, so there isn?t any awkwardness. Also Marco and Kain, since you two are going to the South we might follow you. Since it would be easier if we had company in case of any attacks. We don?t know when Lorel will awake, and that makes us down one fighter.?

Amelia---

Amelia walked over to one of her generals, Howin Nobrank. ?Howin, we?re pulling out, we have won the battle and all of the Mages are free. Which by the way, how many sided with us? I assumed you killed those who didn?t??

Howin looked at Amelia, she couldn?t tell his expression behind the helmet but she assumed it was one of confusion. ?You never told us to kill them, do you want us??

?Yes, any one?s who do not side with us, shall die. We don?t want them coming back and attacking us.?

?Alright, I will give the order.?

As she went away, she noticed the lack of Malina. So she stopped her commander. ?Has Malina Ana?sha reported in??

?No, she hasn?t.? The commander spoke looking at the paper in hand.

?Has any mage by the name of Lorel Ion been found??

?No Noble.?

Shit? That can only mean one thing? Malina helped Lorel get away. Of course, why else would she had gotten into fighting and came with us? I didn?t even know Lorel was here until I sense his magic. How did she know, before me?

Upper District ? Ana?sha Province---

?That little *****..!? Noble Ana?sha yelled in furious anger.

Her son, Trin?so, walked into the room. ?Mother, what is it??

?This-? Without turning she brought out her arm behind her with a piece of paper in hand. Trin?so took the paper and began to read it.

?This is a joke, right? Malina went after Lorel, and go against Upper District if need be? I can?t believe this! So this is why she left with Amelia on her attack of Eren Douab, it was to get to Lorel, that idiot!?

Ana?sha faced Trin?so. ?We can?t let your Father learn of this, he would be furious. No doubt, Amelia will find out. If she hasn?t already.?

Lorel---

As the battle began, the Pro?s sent various spells at him, in an attempt to finish him off with the first second. Lorel use wind to shoot himself into the air, and behind the Pro?s. But they easily knew how to counter, together they made a fire storm and surrounded Lorel in the air.

Lorel simply chuckled, fire was his main element, and easily he put out the fire and instead of coming from behind, landed in the midst of the Pro?s. One of the Pro?s attempted to hit him with a melee spell, but Lorel ducked and slammed his fire firsts into their stomachs, effetely taking them out of the fight. Suddenly Lorel was flown back, as the sand from the arena, swarmed him. Using his wind again, he separated himself from the sand and landed on his two feet.

Above him, a suddenly a white rigid shaped structure was forming, and then turned a solid grey. A rock. Earth magic, was hard to master, to be able to create rock, is even more difficult, but not for a Pro. As it began to fall, Lorel spread his legs, put his arms up and formed a beam of ice, which froze the rock. Then he broke the ice beam, clapped his hands, brought them back up and created fire. The rock then melted into water, which fell and soaked Lorel.

?What the hell? He isn?t even a Pro. How can he use a second element like that already, a regular?s ice shouldn?t be able to freeze a solid object, a rock no less! All out on him!?

Just as they were about to use all of their magic, ?I order you all to stop!?

Their spells vanished and they all looked over at the stands. It was Maro.

[small]Damien: Northern Mountains (Lair of the Lost Souls)[/small]

Damien awoke to a cold breeze filtering in through an open window and a few snowflakes flying in and landing on the blankets which Damien had been sleeping under. He blinked a few times to clear his view, and saw Myra already sitting at a table near a fireplace, sifting through various papers and books. Myra held a quill in one hand, and an ink bottle lay beside her papers, which she frequently dipped her quill in to jot down things on her papers. Damien sat up and stretched, shivering in the cold morning air.

"The window is only open because if I leave it closed it gets to hot and stuffy in here, especially since my forte isn't with fire magic." Myra said, glancing up from her papers with a smile.

"Ah... I see, well I am going to assume its time for me to get going isn't it?" Damien asked, getting out of the bed and getting himself dressed in new clothes that had already been laid out for him. They looked the same as his other clothes, although there was now a hat among the clothes, "what's this?"

"That's a hat I made for you before you disappeared a year ago." Myra said, scribbling down more notes in her book without even bothering to look up.

The hat was pointed in the front, and rounder in the back with a single black feather on the side. Around the hat was a band, which displayed the lost souls insignia proudly. He smiled and put that on last, adjusting his sword so that it sat comfortably at his hip and wouldn't get in his way while casting magic. He quickly put on his pair of black gloves and his fur-lined cloak before walking to the door. He turned the handle and opened the door, not even looking back before he sighed and said a farewell.

"I'll be back Myra. Keep up the good work." Damien said, hearing a small sob behind him as he closed the door and walked back to the main hall were the three throne sat empty. Damien wondered where Edward and Aberon were, but he was answered the minute he stepped outside. Three columns of soldiers stood at the ready, one swordsmen, one archer, and one cavalry. Edward and Aberon stood waiting for Damien, both seemed as if they were preparing for something. Many crates lay in the rows between columns, and Damien assumed that they were supplies for the trip.

"Damien, are you ready? We are teleporting these columns of soldiers to the Port of Gallu, from which you will rent some boats and travel down to the Southern countries. Your second in command, Lieutenant Drake will be overseeing the funds for the trip and he will aid you in battle greatly. He's the larger man in front with the greatsword so you can meet later. For now, get into the circle and help us get rid of you." Edward joked, pointing to the man standing in the center of the swordsmen column.

Damien nodded, and walked into the circle that had been etched into the snow, marking the boundaries of the mages spell. Damien noticed that Edward and Aberon had started the minute Damien had stepped inside the circle, and he too added his power to theirs, creating an immense field of energy. All three columns folded inside themselves at once, bringing Damien in with them and tearing them away from the Northern Mountains.

A lone window stood open above in the castle, and Myra watched Damien and the soldiers leave, tears already welling up in her eyes. Myra let up a prayer for their safe return.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Damien and the soldiers were thrown back into reality just outside the Port City, landing in a large field as one big group. Most of the soldiers stumbled, and the horses whinnied in fear but Damien simply turned as if nothing had happened and surveyed his troops.

"Lieutenant Drake, please step forward. Commanding Officers, if you would, go into town and gather as many supplies as you deem necessary, I would also have three of you head down to the dock and get us two or three ships for the voyage. We will need three for the voyage down, and please hurry we're on a tight schedule if we want to arrive there before a month is up." Damien said, pleased as the Officers began rushing into town, commanding their troops to stand at the ready until they returned.

"You called my Lord?" asked the larger man who was now identified as Lieutenant Drake. He wore a large suit of dark black armor, and he carried a greatsword that was the length of his body. Drake stood at least 7 feet tall, and he appeared to be mostly muscle underneath his armor.

"Yes, once we get ships, divide the swordsmen and archers evenly between two ships. The horsemen will all go onto the largest ship, and I will accompany them while you accompany another ship.

"Yes sir." said Drake with a salute, before turning around and barking orders to the swordsmen and archers who immediately divided themselves into two groups. Damien smiled and sat down on one of their crates, anticipating the coming battle with joy.

(Asael, Ferela)

Asael crossed his arms as he shifted his head a bit to get a look at Malina, "well our endeavour is similiar to what I assume Upper just got done doing to my former abode, however we perform with just a bit more style and tact" spoke Asael as casual as he could come off, looking over to Kain, Marco and Lorel's Group "we're also hoping to find some forgotten souls willing to pledge they're allegiance to our soon to be designed banner, if you provide us with assistance, I'm sure we could do something to lend you some aid depending on what we find........." explained the Cynic stepping forward away from the wall he was leaning upon.

"........ Now considering the trouble you might be getting into down I'm sure you could use all the help you can get, especially you two, Marco, Kain, taking down a skilled Broker won't be easy" spoke Asael his smirk somewhat dimming as his more business like side came out, he needed to act on this chance for an extra edge on the Mage Hunters, Lazlo may not fully approve, but even he would probably understand the benefits of having a few extra pairs of hands.

Lazlo spoke up again. "It will be a quick sort of smash and grab job. Not a lot of time for flair and melodrama. My guess is we can be done with this and rejoining with the rest of you in..." He thought for a moment. "...Week and a half, optimistically. Its a detour, but worthwhile."

So im thinking we do a timeskip once this convo is done, get right to our juicy end of the action?

Malina---

?Well, if Kain and Marco go with you two, we will be splitting paths right here. We need to go to the South and find shelter. So Kain and Marco, it?s your guys choice.?

Malina noticed Itsuka was looking at Lorel and his markings almost as if she knew something about them.

Lorel---

Lorel looked at one of his masters, Maro, who stood proudly on the stands. He turned his head and faced a student nearby ?Explain ? Pro Naia.?

Naia was a simple student, she was average across all boards, but she had a knack for a good memory. Not that she seemed to use it for her advantage. She would sleep in class, and wouldn?t do her work, she showed promise, but didn?t use it. ?Well Master Maro, the Pro students seemed to have ganged up on that Regular in the center and Lorel, I believe his name is, stepped in to stop them.?

?Is that so,? His gaze turned over to the arena floor. ?Pro Sopla, please explain to me why you ganged up on Regular Mark.?

Sopla knew he couldn?t answer his way out, but he attempted. ?Well Master Maro, you must understand how these Regulars, they need to be taught lessons??

Maro wasn?t pleased but wasn?t surprised. ?All of you Pro?s will meet in the main office. Right Now.?

Without another word they left in a mad rush, leaving Mark on the ground. Lorel went over to him. ?You alright? I am Lorel.?

?Mark and thanks.? The younger regular spoke.

Yeah like a few day timeskip.

Kain laughed as if it was the easiest choice in the world, "Well we stay here and help Asael and Lazlo who won't even tell us what the hell they plan to do. Asael you are cryptic as hell and I don't like that. I will be heading down South with you all where I have less chance of dying." Marco though gave his answer with anger however, "Asael next time you want help you don't hide what you're asking from us! Being secretive doesn't normally gain followers. I'll be heading South as well." Marco finished with a breath. "Now can I have something to treat this stump where my hand used to be?"

Asael's expression became cold as he looked Marco dead in the eye, "No, is that blatant enough for you to listen?" spoke Asael in an almost emotionless voice, "we're planning to infiltrate a Mage Hunter compound, and then take whatever we decide is worthy of claiming, thats what we're planning plain and simple" explained the Cynic as a slight tinge venom sang in his voice.

"Now if we have no further business, then I suggest we part ways before I start taking you're words personally, also take a bottle from out supple, some alchohol might help numb the pain" spoke Asael with a grin as he went to grab a bottle of scotch from the cabinet, before then handing it to Marco, "I could also care to suggest getting Itsuka on it fast, she could probably stop it from getting infected" spoke Asael, accepting the possibility he may never see his Friends again.

Malina---

?Mages can heal, but we can?t reconstruct bones and body parts. At least with any magic I know of. Sorry Marco.? Spoke Itsuka. Malina went over to Lorel and picked him up.

?Well are we going to be going? Or will there be further discussion??

Lorel---

Lorel went over to Maro, jumping up onto the stands. ?Maro, thanks for that intervention.?

?It was nothing, simply doing my teacher deeds. Next time, come and get a teacher, there was a chance I may have not come.? With that Maro left. Mark in the arena left as well, Lorel had no more to do so he left as well.

Damien stood on deck of one of the ships he and his army had bought, and looked out over the ocean as they headed further and further away from the port city of Gallu. Damien listened as his crew made jokes and drank from the barrels of ale they stocked up on just before departing, which kept them in good moods and high spirits for the journey and battle ahead. Damien pulled out a thin cigar from his coat pocket and put it in his mouth, snapping his fingers which instantly set the cigar's tip ablaze. It was a rarity that Damien ever smoked, but he believed that it was fine now... especially if he might die in the coming raid.

Rain clouds loomed overhead, and Damien pulled his cloak tighter.

This is going to be a long five days... Damien thought as thunder crackled overhead and the men on his ship started dancing to a song.

"Yeah," Lazlo said. He grabbed a piece of paper and scribbled down a name and an address.
"Find this guy, tell him I sent you on 'double secret probation' business and ask him for swords. He can get you anything you need and owes me a favor. We go way back so it wont be a big deal. It should be on your way, not far from here."

"So there is magic you don't know of?" asked Asael with a curious eye, "those secret magics, any idea where you could learn them, or is that just a dead end, actually, never mind" spoke the Cynic, stopping himself before he dove further into a rather dark subject.

Malina---

?Well since you asked, I would have no idea, but a magic to restore destroyed limbs, something like that if is real, would have been discovered. Since it was known that Mages in the past were able to ?experiment more? then they?re now. So it might exist, but most likely is a special magic, similar to my magic to drain life.? Itsuka answered with all honesty.

Malina went over towards the door ?Itsuka, Kain, Marco, I believe we should be off now.?

Lorel---

The rest of the day went normal, nothing special happened. He was walking down the cobble streets towards their manor, when he noticed snow was starting to fall. ?It?s that time of year again.? Lorel liked it when it snowed.

I still don?t get why this is going on, why am I seeing this day, out of all the days, this memory.

When he reached the gates of the manor, he saw a man in a black suit outside, with a thin black cloth over his face. As Lorel got closer, the man turned and began to walk down the street opposite of Lorel. ?Who is that man, never seen him before.? Lorel Murmured.

The gate was already open so he simply walked in and went through the court yard, looking at all the various plants and fountains. It was eerily silent. The large wooden doors to the house were open. A bad feeling was fueling. Inside, the torches and lights were on, but he saw no one.

Maybe, they?re in the main foyer.

So he went and opened the doors. To which the lights were off, but that didn?t matter, he could see all to clearly. The whole room was splattered in red blood, fresh to. Bodies laid scattered in pieces and their insides scattered about. Some bodies were charred by Magic to the point of nothing. Puke ran up to Lorel throat and he couldn?t hold it in and let it all out. It only got worse, he looked across the room, where he could see his parents, hanging from the ceiling, ripped to shreds.

Malina---

They left the inn, and together the five, went through alleyway after alleyway to get out of the district.

3 Days later?

?So this is it, one of the Guardians gates?? Malina inquired to Itsuka as they looked at the monolith stone door with the tribe looking people standing in front.

?Yes, it will take us two days to cross. Are you guys ready? This road can get bad.?

Lorel---

Why? Why did this happen, I don?t understand.

Suddenly he saw a shadow approaching from behind, and Lorel swiftly turned around only to see the man from outside earlier.

?You, did you do this-? But suddenly the man ran behind Lorel and hit him in the back of the neck and his vision blurred out and he fell to the ground.
