Looks: Lionel is rarely seen without his set of plate mail armor, his golden shield with the blue flame in the middle to show his allegiance, and his broadsword strapped to his back. He often leaves his helm off so the people can recognize him. Lionel stands at 6'2 and has the muscular physique that one would expect of someone who wears such heavy armor. Lionel's brown hair is starting to grey with age and he's getting a wrinkle or two on his face, but he still looks quite healthy despite this.
Personality: An honest and just man, Lionel is often torn between the loyalty he swore to the upper district and his own sense of justice that often conflict with each other. Lionel always takes his duty seriously and does his best to be just and fair.
Faction: Lionel serves the mages of the upper district and works to enforce their laws and bring order to their territory.
Bio: Lionel was born into the constant chaos and fighting that was the Middle. His parents worked to keep them barely above the poverty line as members of a small time thieves guild. Somehow in all that mess, Lionel ended up believing in justice and despised his parents work. He vowed to make an honest living, no matter how hard it was. His options were very limited unfortunately, but his naturally large build made him well suited for a guards work. His strength and determination made him a powerful addition to the Upper Districts guard and his just nature made him popular among the citizenry. His common birth kept him from many of the promotion's he so clearly deserved, but he didn't mind. He slowly worked his way up over the years and eventually was put in charge of the market district. It was not meant to last unfortunately, as the growing anti-Upper sentiment in that area was blamed on Lionel for being "too soft". The brutal Commandant Fischer was sent to take over and Lionel was placed under the command of a man that is the exact opposite of everything he stands for. Out of loyalty to the Upper District that gave him a job that he so desperately needed though, he holds his tongue for the time being.

Personality: He is an aggressive person and trusts only the other six members of his group. He has a fondness for writing and reading in his spare time. He depends a lot on his six friends and would give his life to protect them, as they all would for one another.
Faction: The Remnants
Bio: When he was very young, he and 11 other boys were taken to the Upper Distric to be test subjects for the mages. They were testing the effects of long term magic exposure on non-mages. They kept these boys imprisoned for years exposing them to all kinds of magic. They gave them numbers 1 through 12. After 9 years of this testing they realized that some of the subjects were beginning to exhibit the ability to harness the magic. They could not actually cast spells or perform any other magic but they had minor control over magic that had already been created. These subjects also had some kind of magical connection between them. When they were being moved to a new testing area they somehow synchronized their actions and broke free. Numbers 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, and 12 all escaped. The remaining subjects were executed. The ones that escaped could not remember anything of their previous lives and decided they would stick together. They eventually made it all the way to Ro and began establishing their group. 7 was eventually chosen to be the ?leader? because he is the most skilled in combat.

Personality: socially awkward at most times due to extended periods of solitude, generally has an optimistic disposition and copes with many of life's troubles through his sense of humor (he jokes that he's glad he received a Glasgow Smile rather than a Columbian Necktie simply because he "doesn't like formal-wear").
