I had a tarantula named Ted. I had him for 10 years, which is a hell of a long time for a spider. He died a few weeks ago.
I had a pet tarantula, but my mom released him into our garden after 3 weeks. My cat probably ate him. :'(

I would say I'm very close to my dog and cat. They're pretty much family.
WHAT she let a tarantula into your garden i hope ypu live somewhere warm or the poor bastard will freeze to death.
She's (the Tarantula) long gone. Thankfully we live in California so it she had a chance.

See my avatar? See that rat on my shoulder? His name was Buster. I miss him---he was such an awesome pet it defies description.

Well, I cared for 2 microbats with broken wings a few years ago, back in high school. People being dipshits colonies were attacked and I cared for them, but with their injuries they couldn't be released and I wasn't going to have them put down. I soon ended up liking them so much I did everything with them. I hand fed them, They kept themselves clean (the microbat subspecies are primarily clean, however a lot of other bat species are not, like the fruit bat, plus I also gave them a small bath nightly, however with them being a small and delicate species this meant a trickle of water and a very small, delicate brush; they seemed to enjoy it though which was nice), they went everywhere with me (they would simply crawl up my arm and snuggle under my collar, in fact all I had to do was put my hand into their little terrarium that I'd arranged and they'd come to me) and I'd do pretty much everything with them by my side (within reason of coarse, I wouldn't bring them anywhere that could have been dangerous to them or a hazard to others). I lived pretty much inseparable from two for the next 10 months (the average lifespan of a microbat being 2 years) before they died. They got to do and see things no other bat has, they had a fully heated and realistic home for themselves, they had all the food they could eat (It seemed they'd eat more than three times their body weight some times) and they had company (they had each other, one male, with bats being "social animals" for lack of a better term, they do really need companionship from others of the species), so I feel that I gave them as good a life as they could have, even without the use of their wings.

Because of that I now work in the area of wild life rescue and rehabilitation. Little things like that can change someones entire life course.

You cannot tell me that this isn't one of the most adorable creatures that you've seen in your entire life.

I'd love to say Smerglet, Her mama Boo-Boo, and her mama Sabella(My Bella-baby), but that makes me sad because they are no longer with us. ):

So i'm going to go with my Shadow the Hedgehog plushe. when i'm scared, i grab him, when i'm sad, i grab him, when i'm happy, i grab him.

I only have him put off to the side cuz i was holding him when i was sick and now i need to wash him.

I even hold him sometimes when i shlick. But you didn't need to know that. FEEL THE PAIN! THE KNOWLEDGE BURNS YOU!

My Goldfish named Nemo (My niece named him/her) I've taught it tricks, it knows when it want's feeding and tells me by sucking up a pebble and shooting it at the fish tank. Also it can dance... yes I have a dancing Goldfish.
