Looks interesting now. Nothing I can find wrong with it.
Edit: forgot your weapon, I assume it's your shortsword, but it helps the other guys to not have to go looking through your sheet.

WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT.

But on a serious note, whenever we get a couple more people, preferably one or two of the Empire faction. I'm thinking of closing this officially by next Wednesday, though that is not set in stone yet, if we get my personal limit before then, I'll close it early.

Hmmm... I'm thinking of writing a sheet, but the restriction to amethyst for Empire affiliates puts me off, as you wanted more in that faction.

Are you going to be kicking out people because honestly we have six people already and sooner or later that might become to much just saying

Have you never seen someone pick from a range of characters? He never said he had a specific limit

College of Imagination? Oh, I have GOT to get on this one.

I'll post my sheet after I get done with school. Don't expect it until much later in the day.

I'll update the appearance and history when I get home.

Done. Meet Toren.

Name: Toren Septim

Class:Ruby

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Appearance: Toren is a short, stocky caucasian, around 5'5, and very well built. He has limp black hair, blue/grey eyes and a perpetual smile to accent his good mood. He normally wears a silk shirt and pants around the college. For any time he leaves the college, he has plain, roughspun clothes and a heavier vest to go on top of his shirt. His battle outfit consists of a cuirass, leg and shin plates, and arm plates. He wears a battle helmet, specially designed by his order. All his armor is bronze, or whatever the highest and lightest quality armor there is at the time.

Mindset: Toren's basic personality is "Live like there's no tomorrow", because for him, there isn't.

Personality: He's essentially dedicated his life to having a good time, disrespecting those who he considers to be wasting his time, and not trying to accomplish anything at all. Force him to waste his time, or disrupt his a party and hurt his friends, and he gets angry. If forced to confront his mortality, he will blithely ignore it and go on with his business. His liberal use of his magic in fighting has made it so his life expectancy is around his 19th birthday. Also due to his mortality, Toren is not spiritual in the least and sees it as a waste of time, believing the gods to be unduly cruel and not worthy of his respect and worship. His careless and free demeanor turn off some people as much as it charms others.

Magic Specialty: In scientific terms, Toren specializes in excessive kinetic expenditure. In layman's terms, He Breaks Shit. His power is amplifying the kinetic energy from his attacks and basically going Hulk on anything that tries to get in his way. He can also imbue his weapons with his power and use that at for melee or ranged weapons. When someone fights him, how much you're screwed depends on how much power he imbues his weapons with.

Weapon of Choice: Toren's choice of weapon is a shield and one handed warhammer. He also has a pouch with metal marbles in it that he can imbue and use as ranged attacks.

Faction: College

College-Life: Toren is the son of a high ranking legionnaire officer. When it was found out he had Imagination, Toren was taken away and only returned once his training was finished. When he left, Toren's family knew him as a bright, happy child. Ironically, when he returned, he was still that same, bright, happy person, this time for all the wrong reasons.

When Toren learned of his fate, he immediately stopped putting any effort into things other than combat training, magic training, and fun. No research of any other topic, no respect for his teachers, and no desire to follow orders. When his family found out about this, they demanded that Toren respect their family, their legacy, and their tradition. Toren was the first person to openly laugh in his father's face and live, though his father did make the attempt to strike him down before Toren made a demonstration of his power on the wall behind him using one of his marbles. He has since been disowned and left to the college, where he has spent his days partying the time away.

It's probably worth a mention that he's alcoholic.

On a side note, I just read your post about wanting someone in the empire faction. I could certainly make someone for that if you'd prefer it to another college person.

I'd like to reserve a spot as an Empire aligned Ruby-class mage who specialises in disrupting other's spells.

Sound good?

D'ya know, I was actually thinking about a nullifier mage for this.

But the empire doesn't have rubies or emeralds.

"You are directly under the purview of the Emperor, or the Republic, as suits your wont, the only limit here is that only Amethyst and Jet class Imaginators can be here simply because of average lifespans and the College's insistence to keep Ruby and Emerald mages under their care"

basically what Averant said and then some. Nullification would require some kind of artifact giving you either an ability of mind-reading or some kind of seeing the future type thing, simply because the system is completely built on people's individuality and differing ways of thinking.Mostly what I'm saying is that nullification is impossible to start off with simply because the College isn't going to let anything that powerful out of their sight. If you go with Empire, as you said you wanted, then being given any artifact this early won't be possible.

Now, shields against magic is another thing, though it would have to have some kind of limit, I'd say, maybe large enough to fit over one person at a time, but nothing more, if you want to go with Empire, and you're Amethyst, if you go Jet, I'm going to say no more than imbuing a normal sized shield(or creating a magical shield) with the property for a limited amount of time. This is just an idea that you can still use your idea of nullification.

I certainly will be imbuing my shield. Except mine will be used to smash stuff. Who needs to block when you can smash?

How's my character looking, btw? Good?

Just a reminder, if you guys would like to post a sheet, I'm extending the deadline until Friday, at 6:00 pm, UTC-6.00 is my timezone.

Conincidentally, this also functions as a bump, so anyone still wanting to post a sheet, get it done. I have a number in mind, so make a character you'll enjoy.

Just as an incentive, Empire players have a better chance of getting in simply because of the sheer number of College applicants. Nothing wrong with going with the College, but I need a few Empire players to make it work out.

Wow. First time doing that. Anyway, since you still seem to be at a loss for Empire characters, I thought about making one. I just wanted to run a few ideas by you in terms of Imagination powers. I suppose some may not seem appropriate or might be a little outlandish, but that's why I'm asking you first.

Drawing out the inherent capability, or maybe the "essence" of an item, probably metals or jewels. Drawing too much from an item would risk its integrity, possibly causing it to combust or explode. The power would probably summon fire or gusts of wind or gouts of lightning, maybe temporarily bolster physical abilities, which I guess would be pretty versatile. Probably not the best.

Tattoos. Now, I mean tattoos modeled after things as if to give the skills of the model. I was thinking along the lines of animal tattoos done with ink infused with the blood of the animal and powered by the Imagination of the character, and it would give him attributes of the beast; like strength for a bear, agility for a wolf, cunning for a snake, patience for a spider, common stuff like that. Maybe he would project an aura of the animal -perhaps visible or even tangible- I don't know.

Then I got lightning. Just lightning. As a sort of general purpose thing. Shooting lightning, summoning lightning, imbuing a static-y aura, maybe a little magnetism. Just an idea.

I have a lot more, too. Those just seemed the most fitting with the "Imagination" thing. Except maybe the lightning thing. I just like lightning. Again, I only wanted to run some ideas by you before I try to make an Empire character. Assuming you'd want me to make an Empire character.

Name: Isabel Shannnow
Class: Ruby
Age: 16
Gender: Female

Appearance: Though young, Isabel is tall for her age and slim, looking almost boyish with her short, dark hair and strong jaw. She moves economically yet gracefully, as if she is a series of still points rather than a continuous movement. Her face is most of calm and controlled, as she prefers to express herself by word and deed.
By preference, Isabel wears close fitting garments of a dark, resilient material, practical and without ornament. Her only jewelry consists of a single earring, a ruby set in her own stone, lapis lazuli.
More than a little eccentric, Isabel resents the social pressure to forgo her comfy, practical clothes for 'proper' woman's clothing. However, for important formal occasions, she will concede to wear a modest dress of fine dark blue fabric, all set with shards of lapis lazuli.

Mindset: Mind over matter is the center of Isabel's position. She has yet to find a challenge that has not fallen before her formidable intellect, and she intends to make as much use of her brain before it burns out.

Magic Specialty: Isabel's power is about order and control. She has an affinity for order, defense and spells that restrict and confine, as well as a taste for spells that involve the cold.
She favors force fields to defend, control or contain, as well as sucking the heat and energy out of her opponents before locking them down in chain forged straight out of her mind.

Weapon of Choice: Isabel is more than proficient with the rapier; she is fond of it's speed and subtlety of use.

Faction: College; she is all for the freedom to peruse knowledge for it's own sake, and a violent individualist.

College-Life: [to come]

Honestly, the only problem I have with your powers being limited to your imagination is that I have no fucking parameters to work with. The only thing I could suggest is everyone posting a list of ideas.

I'll have an empire profile done in a few hours, Rhyno.

Sorry, I'm going to have to pull myself away from this one. Too much pressure with uni. I hope you have a lot of fun though.
