This is a reboot of a very old RP I did that, at least I thought, had great potential:
The year is 2020 and earth has become nearly inhabitable. The oil has run dry, most of the animals are extinct, the ocean level has risen nearly 25 ft, the hottest ever recorded was 129 Farenheit and the coldest -121. Tornadoes and thunderstorms destroy any flatland there is, hurricanes and flooding run rampant in the coast, blizzards and hailstones the size of computer towers plague the north and south.
Desperate for a solution, the UN held an emergency meeting to determine what to do. The Russians wanted an underground world, the Japanese sugested anunderwater utopia, but in the end they desided on a colony on Mars.
Using all the world's resources, the Colony was built in less that a year. It was inhabited by residents of the major powers, Russia, US, England, Fance, China, and Japan, who lived peasefully until three years after completion. A probe stubled across a statue of, what seemed to be, a man with no jaw, eight spider-like claws, and a gaping hole in the stomach lined with teeth. An excavation team retreived the statue and all contact with the colony was lost. No one knows what happened to them, but the UN sent a recovery team who were also never heard from again.
We will be playing as the second, more heavily armed, revovery team sent to the colony searching for any sign of the missing team and the fate of the inhabitants of the colony. All I need is six, all I will take is six. If you are the 7th person, better luck next time.

Bio: Rene has seen much in his life, he was born in the twilight of the good years, the time before the world went to hell. France was relatively stable during the build up to the crisis. It started with small things; petrol becoming more expensive, stores had less and less goods and so forth, but Rene never gave it much thought.
When he turned eighteen, he decided to enlist in the French military and served for several years before being transferred to the French Foreign Legion. He specialized in close quarters combat and spent two years in Basque country as nationalist sentiment had grown in that region as world order began to degrade.
In 2008, Basque terrorists detonated a nuclear device in Paris, during an emergency government session. The resulting explosion killed wiped out most of the National Assembly and Senate; it also eliminated most of the presidential line of succession.
With France in chaos, Basque regions declared independence from France and Spain. While Spain tried to muster a response, France was dealing with massive inner turmoil. With most of the government dead, various regions in France began to unite around old territories and ethnic lines. Corsica declared independence three weeks after the explosion, with Alsace-Lorene seceding three days later and Brittany a week later (which later reformed into Brittagne). A collation of southern provinces united to form Occitania. What was left of France was left in the north.
After France's balkanization, Rene had nowhere to go, the Legion reduced and as a Breton, he wasn't trusted. Brittagne didn't trust former legionnaires either. The main PMC in France, Secopex, however was hiring all the ex-soldiers it could. Rene has been with Secopex for twelve years, doing work for the company in all parts of France and the world. Secopex also does work for the U.N occasionally, and with the Colony crisis, the U.N decided to lease one of Secopex's top operatives. Being a close quarters expert and given the close confines of the Colony, Secopx decided to send Rene.

Short Bio: Sorcha was born 10 years after the "The U.I.S.P"'s Completion in the 1990's, it would be the brain child of The Recently Independant nation of Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland in order to house the Bulk of the Irish Population in the midst of mass hysteria and panic of future human survival and believing that Ireland would not be included in any ambitious Survival project spearheaded by other Major countries.
in 1993 the Instalation was completed and in 1993 the Irish population was moved into the Underground Instalation when mass floods submerged large parts of Ireland, the flaws in the contruction would come to light, it would evolve into nothing more than a vast underground Slum of which the inhabitants would fight over for more Living Space in numerous waring factions.
These wars would rage on well into the 2020's, Sorcha adapted to the life of war in the renamed "Melting Pot" Small children were useful tools in the War Machine, able to MacGyver machinery and Weaponry to a workable state and crawl through the small vents to ambush rivial Splinter groups in the Tight Complex corridors.
Because of the Unique close quarter Battleground of the "Melting pot" and the Ruthlessness of its inhabitants each Splinter group uses Advance pyrotechnics and Unethical Weapons of war such as Biological or chemical agents to give them an edge, this is reflected by Sorcha's use of Chemical weaponry.
Like some other Citizens of the Complex she works occasionaly with the U.N. if only to try and make contacts with people willing to make a mint selling Chemical Weaponry to her faction.

When the war with Afghanistan reached it's peak, he was immediatley sent out as an inexperienced medic on the front lines. In the years he spent fighting, he became one of the few medics to ever survive more than 5 years on the job. He knew what to do, where to hide, when to strike, all of that put him head and shoulders above the medical canidates for the recovery team. He only just recently heard of the colony's existance and the disaster that happened there.

The woman stands at roughly 5 feet 11 inches and is very fit 'for a scientist' as others often comment though somewhat gangling and with a broad Australian accent. Over the standard military gear everyone wears she has a lab coat with two sets of rubber gloves, safety glasses and a Swiss army knife stuffed into the pockets.
Country of Origin: The New Republic of Australia
Short Bio: Australia gained independence of the Brittish Monarchy in late 2011, becoming a republic and on their way to self sufficient by which time Marina had already gained a Doctorate in Biological science and Biotechnology, beginning research into potential new sources of food, reconstitution of the local environment and some general biotechnology. As time went on, with the climate becoming more hostile and few native species left her work became more and more vital to The New Republic of Australia as well as the UN which they were a part of. It is because of her that in 2015 Australia was completely self sufficient and had the best thriving ecology (for Australia and considering that the country was now somewhat smaller due to the melting of the polar ice caps), assigned to design the food and water systems on the Mars colony.
Dr. Bodart was planned to be one of the few original colonists but was recalled to assist in saving what was left of planet Earth.
