This is something that always bothers me. I'm no grammar nazi or anything, but I can't be the only one who notices how nobody seems to know how to use a comma the right way. I don't mean just in game or in a forum, but everywhere. I proofread papers for a little extra money, so I see this a lot. Commas being placed in all the wrong places, some existing where they don't need to, and fuck else. I know it's probably just me being anal, but what are all of your thoughts? And who can find the comma error in this post?

I, don't, know, what, you're, talking, about, nobody, has, issues, with commas,

Your error is in: "Commas being placed in all the wrong places, some existing where they don't need to, and fuck else."

A hyphen works be better.

Is it the "and" comma? I can be a bit of a grammar nazi, but as long as people use commas I don't really mind.

I know that I use commas far too much, or at least, it seems to me like I do. Maybe I don't, but I've always been told that the fewer the commas, the better.

See, lot's of commas, but I think it's all grammatically correct. Or maybe I'm still just really overtired, I don't know.

You're being just a bit anal but seeing as you've proofread papers and been instructed in the ways of grammar i can see the frustration somewhat.

I'm just a college sophmore, majoring in chemistry. I guess taking english counts as being instructed in the ways of grammar, but then that means everyone else is too.

I am absolutely horrible with commas, I can't stop, but I'm positive I'm using too many of them, see right here, this is how I normally write, and it's got too many commas, I can't stop, it's just how it works.

I've been told that it's proper to use a comma after 'and' when listing things to that people know and understand that the last two terms are not to be grouped together where all other items are individuals.
But that's the only you do that.

You can pretty much use commas where ever you damn well please.

Sometimes they are just used to make a sentence easier to read, others they are used just to add pause. Hell, they can be used purely for style's sake.

Comma usage largely depends on writing style, it's up to a person's discretion where they fit best.

In the end, the rules for commas are pretty damn lax, despite what they teach kids in middle/highschool.

GET AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD! BAD TROLL! BAD!

Seriously though, I agree. That's why I bought a phone with a qwerty keyboard. So it's easier for me to use correct grammar.

Language is beautiful, please try to respect it...

I don't care much about commas, in my opinion spelling and capitalization are much more important than common punctuation.

I can agree with your frustration, however I am not perfect in this matter either.

But, if we all join forces we can do this!

COMMA'N!!
