How bad is hnd03? 03 is the year I made an email nothing more. And hnd is just a shortened version of screenname.

A good rule for a gamertag is: If you think you're being clever, you're not.

Picking random words out of a dictionary can be surprisingly effective at coming up with a tag, though. And band names.

I use General Vagueness for everything and I'm fairly surprised I haven't had to change it yet, although it's starting to seem like everyone else thinks it's stupid, but I'm kind of hoping they're just jealous they didn't think of it first. The only Google result that was what I'd call "cohesive" and didn't have to do with me was for a Facebook group with the phrase in its name.

I have to agree with everything but the W33d4life420 thing being controversial...I don't know too many gamers that think marijuana's a big deal. And I wouldn't say marijuana use is as big of a deal as racism.

But everything else I agree whole-heartedly with.

Well, my GT right now is Vlad Tzepesci.
Anyways, my rule is "please use spaces when appropriate. It is much easier for me to read and understand your god damn name when you do. Plus, it allows for easy name shortening for fps games."

You say to not put "assassin" in your name because it's apparently ridiculously common, but I don't see it nearly as much as the word "sniper". Some variation of that word seems to be in half of every damn gamertag I see. And thank you for including the X's, I hate that.

One more rule: Don't make a gamertag that I want. I've wanted to change my gamertag to "Hebrew Hammer" but I can't because it (and several variations of it) are taken. And I didn't want to degrade myself by violating your rule 13, which I agree with. Unfortunately, it means I don't get my gamertag.

You don't have to include that rule though, it's more of a personal thing.

Mine's xBlackHeartKing, because without the 'x' it was taken. I looked it up, and the guy doesn't seem to play any games, so the chances of running into him are remote. Granted, the 'x' looks awful, but it seemed better than sticking a single number on the end (there was only room for one more character).

To be fair though, I wish I could say I was ShadowAssassin.

I only have one rule: Black Lincon.

it's a very simple system. to the point that if you meet another black lincon(please note the spelling, it's important) it's almost always going to be me.

1: It's your name. Make sure it's something you want to be called. You call yourself something strange like Cxy Mk II and expect people to call you strange things. "Sixy M-Kay Eye-Eye". If your gamertag is something like IsoNeko or MaxTheReaper. Expect to be called Iso, or Max, because people like short and sweet names they can say in seconds.

2: Don't make yourself out to be some kind of God of Darkness by adding scary words like Assassin, Shade, Wolf, Dark, Black or Reaper. Nobody takes you seriously. No matter how much you love Green Day.

3: Don't kill me Max...PLEASE!

one of my rules (opens up big rule book)

don't make a gamertag just so you can have that gamertag names(on xbox live) such as Jeff, Jill, Rob... chances are the people who have these names never use them

this is a perfect example

Well, I have an x at the end of my name because when I first made my name, megapenguin was already taken. So I just put an x at the end and presto.

Well, my screen name is always:

a)RagnorakTres (the one I've been using the most because it looks less retarded)

b)v01kn (It's supposed to be Volkn in 1337. Volk is Russian for wolf, volkn would be pronounced Folken (sounds like falcon or, if you're a movie buff, Falken) in German, I suspect that simply "Volkn" would be better at this point because 1337 is a little over the top, despite my mild amount of hacking skill)

How do those pass your commandments?

Rule: USE CORRECT SPELLING. If you misspell "Killer," you look like a dumbass. If you're using foreign words, spell them in the correct way for the language ("Sasuke" rather than "Saucekay" (Yes, I've seen that. He wasn't trying to be clever, he was just a moron who thought he knew Japanese).).

Well, the last one better just mean the first time. When I made my xbox gamertag, I already knew it would be Kiutu. Kiutu is what I use almost everywhere, though I have alt names depending on certain things. If Kiutu is taken, then the false Kiutu should consider me a hostile creature.
Aside from that, I am for everything you say. The x's or rather any pointless border annoys me. I had one friend though who had a border of p ____ q to be as if a mirror image. Was fun mocking him and pronouncing the p and q when saying the name. I hate him now though.

I'm pleased to have broken the sixth commandment with my gamertag SovietPower84(which is a reference to Orwell).

Don't put "666" in your name, it singles you out as a faggy goth kid.

777, however, is cruise control for cool! ;)
