Who really cares? A console is a tool to enjoy an electronic medium, the Video game. It doesn't matter which console you use to achieve the desired result, it's all about what works for you.

I have all 3 current gen consoles, they all have their strengths and weaknesses. Sure, I play one of them a lot more than the other 2, but that doesn't mean it's any better, just different.

It's dumb to argue over what system is better, the greatest console ever made was the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, no one's ever replicated blast processing, so it's just set in stone which console the best. (I'm kidding)

But seriously, it's not about the system as it is more about the games you enjoy playing, I never understood the arguments between people saying what system is better. Chances are you're not going to by a system because System A has better specs than System B, you're going to look at the games and buy it on that. Most of the time when an argument is started about this I just start talking about Sega Genesis and how superior it is, 6 buttons, blast processing, and heck it even had online, come on that's a good way to end an argument.

See someone with some class, it's just obvious that Blast Processing is years ahead of it's time. The wii can emulate it but it can't actually DO it, and the genesis has high definition (Funny fact: They claimed that on the early model 1).

My favorite console is whatever my mood is, I'll go from classic game mood to a FPS mood etc, so there's no real favorite.

Then it just kind of hit me like a bomb shell, i didnt want to take the mic out of ps3 any more, infact finiding it almost inviting, ive argued xbox's case for so long im just simply bored of it now. I even thought about getting a ps3, i would never have thought about that...ever

I based my decision to buy a 360 over the PS3 (used to be a massive Playstation fanboy during the days of the PS1 / 2) on 3 things:

. My friends - who all had 360's
. The price - the PS3 had just been released and cost over £400
. The games - The launch titles for the PS3 were not the best compared with the likes of Halo 3 and Gears of War.

Anyone who tells someone they should have got a different console is an idiot because it all comes down to personal taste.

I've never really cared much. Honestly, I was a PS2 fan until I got a 360, and then I realized: the generation of consoles that comes next will be even sweeter than this.
Hence, there's no reason to ever be a fanboy.

Why people have a problem with this is beyond me though...

Part of it has to be with confidence. People lack this trait because when brought into question on one's investment into a hobby they will feel insecure. The standard reaction is not to be calm but to defend. This is why a lot of people look at reviews as a way of confirming if they were right or their purchase is/was justified. The only person that can please you when it comes to hobbies is yourself. Not even a loved one can help you with that.

think I hit the " I don't care" wall back in the 80's .. the whole battle between calico, atari, and this newb called nes? those were rough days, we were running the streets with headbands tied around our spandex shorts and neon green shirts and having dance offs over which was better....
