Hmm....did you know that what's left after a corpse has completely decomposed and dissolved is known as "volatile fatty acid stain"? Actually, it kind of makes me chuckle.

None of this is very creepy, I must say. Now I've got a story that's not only creepy but real. My father worked at a hospital for a few years as an accountant. He made a few friends that were doctors there, who often showed him other staff performing surgical operations and told him about the usually unseen rooms of the facility. All fairly tame stuff. Except one day a doctor told my dad how they transport dead newborns to the morgue without being spotted. They use little suitcases with wheels. Like this -

I just listened to the Lavender Town mystery thing and it sounds Lovecraftian...the story anyway. The actual sound file didn't have much of a profound impact on me. It was cool, yeah but...what the hell is that, behind m~OH MY GAWD!!
