Most disgusting was probably when my dog decided to vomit and take a crap on my couch at the same time, I left her there, went into another room for about 10 seconds, come back "OH GOD NO".

I once was gonna take a piss and as I entered the bathroom, this giant spider skitters across the floor and under the sink thingie. I never found that spider...Maybe I should burn the house down. Just to be safe.

I left for summer camp for a month last summer, a week before my mom and sister went away for a vacation. I got back a day before them, and the house had been empty for three weeks. A few things had happened:
1.) neither of them had bothered to clean the dishes before they left. There were dishes with food STILL ON THEM rotting next to and in the sink. As well as a bag of Wendy's that was brown and dripping some mystery fluid.
2.) The petsitter had fed the cats, but apparently hadn't assumed that we would ALSO want him to clean the litter box. Add 3 weeks of cat shit to the mess.
3.) We had apparently lost power while we were gone. All the food in the fridge and freezer had begun to rot. Additionally, the sump failed and the basement had flooded, resulting in a nasty mess.
4.) Finally, in an apparent effort to save power, either my idiot mom or idiot sister had turned the air conditioner off. Ordinarily, this would have made some sense, EXCEPT that without ventilation all the rotting and disgustingness that had accumulated in the house, the stench couldn't be ventilated out. Add to this that it was a solid 85 degrees for that entire summer and...well it wasn't pretty.
I consider it a miracle the cats survived.
I left them with a kennel for the night and checked into a motel.
I imagine all of us (them) learned a lesson about not leaving a house unattended.

Went into my dad's room looking for a DVD, and found a photo of his missus naked playing with herself.

I think the weirdest thing I found would be lots and lots of baby praying mantises. Apparently, the holy we brought in for the holidays had loads of them...

And once I didn't empty my trash can that was filled with disgarded food stuff for god knows how long. I stepped onto the junk to create room for more trash and then a bunch of flies came out in one huge gust of disgusting air.
My trash can has never reached that level of gross ever again.
EDIT: I also once had three wasp nests (or mud-dauber nests, I'm not sure) in the crevices just above my window. They are closed off most of the time, so I naturally didn't know.
Best part is, they've rebuilt and every now and again I hear them buzzing inside. Freaks me the fuck out.

Half a squirrel skeleton in the basement under a chair. Never did find where the bottom half of it was...
I have cats, so they bring home deal things all the time. Doesn't really bug me to clean them up, but the squirrel skeleton was creepy. Just the ribcage upwards, with its graspy little skeleton claw hands and big shiny white teeth in the skull.
And the bug casings all around it - that was the gross part.

A similar thing happened to my best friend recently, since his mother asked him to put away some clothes in her drawers. He mistakenly chose the wrong drawer and to his horror discovered some... play things.
He has not mentioned it to his family or gone near that drawer since. He was shocked.

A similar thing happened to my best friend recently, since his mother asked him to put away some clothes in her drawers. He mistakenly chose the wrong drawer and to his horror discovered some... play things.
He has not mentioned it to his family or gone near that drawer since. He was shocked.
Especially when you walk in on your mum and her boyfriend.
