This is how the Catwoman will look in the movie. I don't really mind it much, but the hair looks like it wouldn't be practical. And I hate the fact that they chose Anne for the role, she's just too "girly" for it. What do you think about it and the movie in general?

Not enough has come out about the film for me to really speculate about that, as for her, meh she looks goood, geared up in (what appears to be) high tech burgular(?) gear, don't really know anything about the actress, someone link me up or link me to something good she's been in.

EDIT: After the link to who she is and where she's been, I've only seen her in quite comedic programs, it will be very interesting to see how well she adapts to this more serious role (much like Heath Ledger, although, I'm really not expecting THAT much of an improvement). Still I look forward to this film, still would rather Harley Quinn as the female villain, but we don't all get what we want do we.

Catwoman is supposed to be 'girly'. And why would her hair be impractical, its tied up in a pony tail. Doesn't seem to be anything wrong with this character choice.

What I don't get is how the hell are goggles supposed to keep your identity a secret?

Can't say much about the look due to the angle but is the only thing in this costume the goggles? If so, zey do nussing!

...

In terms of being an actual distinctive costume.

Whatever, I'm sure it'll be fine.

Keep in mind that she may be wearing a mask at other points in the movie. In this pic she's riding the Bat-pod, so maybe she broke into the Bat-cave and stole some shiny toys (like the goggles) for herself?

Nothing about her costume seems to indicate that she is a cat-like woman, though.

Then again, the new Batman movies have sucked in regards to costume design since Batman Begins, so I wouldn't have expected that to change now.

Not in a "14-year-old-teenage girl" kind of way. She just looks too harmless.

It's too long.

I am not keen on the look she has, doesn't make me feel she is super agile.

My first thought: Wait what, that's cat woman? I could have sworn that was generic female spy #76832! There's nothing cat-like about it :\ what gives?

That's my second thought.

Stealing it? She is a thief...

OT: Looks interesting. Looks like the style of how Nolan has reimagined a lot of stuff in the films.

Actually, thats one of the best things about the movies. People aren't just wearing spandex and capes for the heck of it. It portrays characters in as realistic a state as possible.

So batman's costume is armor with a fire-proof glider cape.

Joker was a solo mobster in a suit (is that an oxymoron?)

The scarecrow is a psychotic psychiatrist.

Liam Neeson is a ninja ('nuff said).

Two face is a politician (so naturally he is two faced!)

And cat woman is just supposed to be a cat burglar (who probably also likes cats).

I don't think Anne Hathaway is necessarily a bad choice. I don't think I've seen her in enough stuff to make a judgement on her acting. And besides, do you remember the uproar about Heath Ledger playing the Joker? 'We can't let that pretty boy play him' 'he's far too bishie to be the Joker' 'so the Joker's a gay cowboy now?' wark wark wark.

I say that until the movie actually comes out, anyone who makes judgements about them has the potential for some nice egg on their faces afterwards, and I'm even backed up by precedent now.

As for the look. I agree about the hair in principle, but then Catwoman of the comic books has had long hair before. It's just another of those little quirks you suspend your disbelief around. If you can accept that not being able to turn his head and having a long wavy cloak that never gets caught on things is fine for Batman, then why can't Catwoman have long hair?

I'm really hoping this is a haphazard thrown together 'costume' before she gets a real costume. I would have expected more of a cat motif. Then again, seeing as how Batman's bat getup was so poorly designed that he looks like a solid block of foam rubber, I'd be willing to sacrifice theme for a character with decent choreographed fight scenes.

I think this is Selina Kyle, not Catwoman. After all she wasn't announced as Catwoman, she's only in the cast as Selina Kyle so I think it's safe to presume she could become more Catwoman-like as the story progresses.

If that looks like a 14 year old girl to you, I'm afraid you might have been watching too many japanese anime...

Its been several years since her roles as younger persons, so I think its about time we saw her in more adult roles. Whether she adapts well to this transition naturally remains to be seen, so I do understand some of the skepticism.

So far I've only seen official announcements list her as Selina Kyle, not Catwoman, so let's hope it stays that way so we don't end up with Danny DeVito with a bloody penguin nose again.

*shudder*

Its a realist approach, remember. And she's a thief who's agile, i.e. a cat burglar.

Have you seen Anne Hathaway in any of her other roles? "Girly" isn't exactly what comes to mind. There is also the key word of "acting" that people seem to forget. They play characters, not themselves.

Well no, actually.

Batman looks like robo-Batman with a flimsy black nylon cap. I want my superheroes to look the part, not look the way they would if it was the real world. It's not the real world, it's a superhero universe.

And I dislike the Nolan Batman movies for this simple reason: It's trying it's best to not be a superhero movie in almost every way possible.
