They began to walk over to the dark cloud up in the sky. He felt Seras grabbing his hand with her armoured hand, and kiss him on the cheek. "No need to thank me Theon...I take it that this black cloud ahead is where that 'thing' lays in wait?" He kissed her back, and then nodded.
" That is indeed where we will find him. I can feel his anger and primal instinct trying to take control; he is much wilder and violent than any other werewolf I know." He said as they kept walking. He then looked at Seras again and asked, "Does your magic work here? We might need it for the fight ahead..."
"It should do Theon, remember that time I was inside your head after our seals were removed back at college? If I recall, I was throwing about a fireball or two to show how upset and angry I was with you at the time." Seras said as she returned the sword to its scabbard. She then brought her hands together and spoke something in a language that would be lost on Theon; all the while a glyph appeared beneath her. As Seras was done talking, her hands crackled with electrical energy and fired off a few blasts at the cages.
"Appears that everything is working." Seras said bluntly.
Theon looked impressed, magic had always interested him. "I see, I was just checking. Though your magic is impressive as always, it still surprises me every time I see it." He said smiling. He then started walking towards the black cloud, he wondered if his shape shifting still worked.
He lifted his arm, and began to change it. Large spikes began to grow from it, as the skin and color began to change. It looked more leather like, and the skin was black. He smiled as he moved it around; it seemed to work just fine.
"Thanks." Seras said with a brief smile. She noticed the large spikes that were growing from Theon's arm, along with his skin changing in texture and colour.
"You know Theon, I never really seen you as a full on werewolf before, so pardon me for saying that I'm actually kind of excited." Seras said with a slight hint of glee in her voice.
"Then again, you've never seen me act like a vampire before." She then added, feeling kind of embarrassed, her cheeks turning red slightly.
Theon looked back at Seras; he had indeed never seen her act like that. "I guess we haven't. But then again we mostly saw each other at school, and when we were hanging around in the city. Not really a place where we can show out true nature." He noticed she seemed to be a bit ashamed.
He smiled as he suddenly hugged her. " Though I would love to see you act like a vampire, I am sure that would be quite exciting." He then released her and stepped back. "Want to race there? Werewolf against Vampire?" He asked with a smile.
"Really? You'd find me acting like a vampire to be exciting? Maybe if I'm feeling a little bit desperate, and tired, then perhaps I'll take a drink." Seras remarked, feeling that better about the situation now, but still felt a little embarrassed. That feeling though quickly washed over when the thought of a race crossed her mind, as a blush was replaced with a smirk.
"As for a race. Well, there is more of a chance you'd beat me, seeing as though I'm in heavy armour, and you?re a big strong werewolf." Seras said, hoping the ego boost would do him a little bit of good.
Theon stretched out his arm, and shrugged. "Anytime you want a drink, you are free to my blood. I can boost my body to make more, so I don't mind as long as it is you. And yes it is a bit exiting to me at least; we both have a more 'animal side'."
And he smiled after getting the compliment."That is probably true, that armour seems quite heavy. Though I am not that sure, I mean I have seen how fast you were during your fights."
"Thank you for the offer Theon, I can always count on you to make me feel like I'm looked after. And your right about this armour, it does feel heavy, but you forget back in those fights, I was wearing what could pretty much describe as regular clothing. However, if it?s a race you want my darling, I'll be sure to give it my best shot, so long as you do the same; don't want you giving me an easy time just because I'm your girlfriend." Seras remarked with a smirk as she prepared herself.
Theon smiled at Seras. "Well you did come into here to help me. You are very good at making me feel look after as well. And the race just sounded like fun to me, and it will be a good warm up for the fight." His arms began to change, and so did the rest of his body. He quickly changed into something, which looked like a big dire wolf. "Just say when you are ready." He said, his voice sounding heavier and wilder.
"Indeed it will be fun, but what?s wrong with adding a bit of healthy competition into the mix?" Seras asked rhetorically as she began to stretch to help limber her up. It had been a long while since she had been in a race, but that didn't mean she hadn't kept herself in shape. She stretched each of her arms in turn before doing some basic aerobics, and she actually thought it looked kind of funny seeing someone exercise in full armour.
During her brief workout session, she noticed that Theon was changing into something that looked like a large wolf of some sort. Seeing him like this reminded her of the family husky Fenris. Good thing Helena agreed to look after him whilst most of the family was away. Seras wondered what the Gorgon was up to these days; she'd have to phone her up sometime. Feeling herself all prepared, Seras turned to Theon.
"Ready."
Theon looked around, there seemed to be a forest in between them and the cloud. He then gazed over at Seras, who seemed to be stretching. He began to stretch his legs a bit too, while watching her from the corner of his eyes. When she said ready he got into position and counted down, "3...2...1...GO!"
And he was gone; his wolf shape reacted much faster than his human form ever could. He could feel the wet ground beneath his paws... " Wait wet ground? Since when does is rain in here? " He pondered for a second, before shaking his head. He was in a race now, he would think about that later.
The moment Theon said "...GO!" Seras could see him racing on ahead, and strived to catch up with him, though with Theon in his wolf form, it meant he could run faster. She soon arrived in a forest and came across patches of wet, muddy ground, which caused her to slow down, a bit, and even sink in places. Seras overcame this by summoning a vine whip to help pull her out of the paths of muddy ground that looked deeper than the others. Seras could see that Theon was only a short distance ahead of her, so she tried to catch up.
Theon was running at a quite high pace. He turned his head to see no one behind him; he was confused as he wondered where Seras had gone. But then she suddenly landed close to him, seemingly appearing out of nowhere. Theon was startled, which allowed her to take the lead. He smiled as he began to chase her. He wouldn't lose that easily, he began running even faster trying to take the lead again.
Seras could see that Theon had fallen slightly behind thanks to her sudden reappearance, though he soon began to pick up speed again. She smiled at him as the two were almost neck and neck as they continued on through the forest, with Seras having to dodge and weave past the branches that were too low for her to simply run under.
"You know Theon, this has actually been rather fun. Perhaps when we're in the real world, we can have another race sometime?"
Theon began to slowly catch up to Seras; his tongue was hanging out of his mouth. He was panting loudly in, he was clearly having fun. She then spoke, and he agreed with her. "It is indeed quite a lot of fun. We need to show each other our more primal sides, which could be a lot of fun." He was smiling as he kept running; a strange fog was appearing in the distance.
"I guess it would Theon. Perhaps later tonight when we're back in the hotel, we could show our more animalistic side, if you catch my drift." Seras remarked with a seductive wink as they passed on through the forest, with its edge coming ever closer with each step. She soon noticed a thick grey coloured fog appearing far off into the distance. Seras also noticed that Theon's tongue was hanging out of his mouth; he must be either be getting tired, enjoying himself too much, or both.
"So, what do you think is in that fog ahead?" Seras asked, pointing to the fog in question.
Seras responded, and winked seductively at Theon. He turned a completely red, and was just able to dodge a tree which suddenly appeared in front of him. He then looked at the fog, and said, "The fog up ahead is where he is, he is somewhere beyond that... It like a wound inside my brain, the fog tries to keep it in. The fog is what is left of the seals which were removed a while ago. Are you ready Seras?" He asked stopping just before the mist, he looked worried but also determined.
"Interesting, so this is what the seals looked line on the inside. Wonder if there are fragments of the seal left inside of me." Seras asked rhetorically as they reached the forest's edge, and stared out into the mist beyond. She took this brief reprieve to rest her back against one of the trees, even finding time to take off her helmet for a moment. As Seras looked at Theon, she saw a looked of both worry, but also determined to see this through.
"Do you mind Theon if we stopped and rested for a moment first? I know you want to get this thing out of the way... but surely even you are tired from that run."
Theon nodded, he slowly stood up back on his two feet. His body began to change back to his previous wolf form. "There might be some fragments left, but without something to seal off they won't activate. And sure rest as long as you like Seras, we need to be prepared when we face him." He leaned back against a tree; he began thinking of what weapons he should use.
"Maybe we should talk about our battle plan.. I don't really have any experience. But we should probably discuss what we do, so we don't get in each others way." He said looking at Seras, a small smile revealing how grateful he was that she was here to help him.
"Indeed we should discuss our strategy, a single step in the wrong place, and we'll either end up crashing into each other, or possibly give our enemy the perfect chance to strike." Seras said as she laid her helmet on the ground, and began to think for a few moments, before an idea came into her head.
"Theon, with this Alpha Wolf we will be fighting, does he have any abilities that we should be wary about? Is there anything else you might know which could help us? After all, this is a part of you we're battling against here."
Theon glanced over at the mist. It only now hit him how real this was this thing could very well kill them. Though it would probably only affect him, which was something of a relief. "Well Alpha Werewolves are basically very strong werewolves. They regenerate slowly are very fierce, fast, and strong and follow their instincts."
He thought about his father, and the things he had told him. "Pain and fear are emotions they mostly ignore. He will probably focus on attacking, as his instinct guide him. And if we are very unlucky, he might have access to my shape shift powers." He said looking down at his hands; he really hoped he couldn't access them.
Seras began to think over what Theon had told her about the Alpha. "Hmm, if it?s at all possible, we could maybe try and slow him down somewhat; perhaps lure him into the forest where we are at now, all those trees will mean he'll have to stop and make the turns to avoid them, or do you think he'll expect us trying to get him in there?" She asked as possible strategies seeped into her head.
"Another thing, out of the two of us, which one will he most likely go for? And would he know of what I am capable of?" Theon seemed to think it over. "We could try to lure him out of the mist... But we probably can't. I think it is a one way ticket, we either win or lose. And he has no clue what you are capable off, he doesn't even know your name." He said pushing himself of the tree.
"And he will go after me, no doubt about it. He wants to fight me for dominance, which means I am his opponent. Though he will go after you too, once he sees what you can do." He began to reshape his right arm, it turned into a giant blade. "No.." He changed his arm back.
"Well that is a little depressing. I guess for what little time we have; I can always try and use the element of surprise; as he probably didn't expect you having help alongside you." She said, her face quickly gaining a smile.
"Rest assured Theon, we are going to go in there, and we are going to win. I have a good feeling that fate favours us this day." Seras then stood up, picking up her helmet along the way, and putting it back on. She then hugged Theon for a moment before letting go.
"If you're ready Theon lets go in there and finish this."
"I can't put into words how grateful I am that you are here Seras. And I am ready to face him." He said walking over to the mist.
His right arm seems to grow, it became much more muscled and the hairs on it turned darker. He turned his head and smiled at Seras. "Let's go kick some ass." He then stepped through the mist.
After taking a deep breath to help concentrate, Seras soon enters the mist after Theon.
Both the lovers appeared at the other side of the mist. There was a ruined city on the other side, all kinds of buildings damaged and over grown. "So, the coward finally shows his face?" A voice said mockingly. He looked up to see the werewolf standing on top of one of the buildings.
He was almost twice as big as Theon, and much more muscled. "I have come to defeat you, once and for all." He said, the werewolf laughed in response. "I was thinking the same thing, let's go!" He charged at Theon, completely ignoring Seras.
Seras was visibly angered by the werewolf when he called Theon a coward, she knew that he wasn't. The moment that the werewolf leapt from the building and began to charge Theon, Seras pulled out her sword and stood in front of Theon, all the while chanting a spell that caused an ice like mist to form on her sword. She then plunged the frozen blade into the ground, and watched as it turned into solid ice.
"We might want to get out of the way Theon."
Seras suddenly took a stance in front of Theon, she then began chanting. He meanwhile began calling out to the alpha, hoping to distract him."Is that all it takes to be called an Alpha? HA! I have seen pups run faster than you!" He shouted sounding arrogant, the alpha grinned and started running even faster. She then plunged her sword into the ground, and turned the floor to ice.
"Yes that is a good idea. " He said to her as he jumped back, and kept taunting the alpha.
The alpha seemed to have lost sight of Seras, his eyes turned red and his smile grew. He then stepped onto the ice, and his eyes widened in surprise. He slipped and crashed onto the floor, yelping in surprise. Theon grinned as he charged at the werewolf, and then jumped lifting his giant arm.
Despite not being the focus of this attack, Seras made sure to dodge roll away from the incoming alpha werewolf as it skidded along the ice, crashing into a nearby wall and howling in what she presumed was pain. Seras kept her sword in hand in case the wolf made a retaliation move as she began to approach Theon, who was lifting his giant arm, poised to strike.
The alpha shook his head, still clearly dazed from the impact. Theon meanwhile attacked, using his giant arm as a weapon. He slammed it down into the Alpha's stomach, who gasped for air from the impact. But before Theon was able to make another move, the alpha kicked him off and tried to stand up.
Seras watched as Theon slammed down onto the Alpha's stomach, which winded him. But before he could strike again, Theon was kicked off the body, and the Alpha tried standing up. Seras went around behind and slashed at the Alpha's legs, and then rushed over to help Theon.
The Alpha screamed, angry and surprised by Seras's attack. He turned around to Seras, his eyes filled with hatred. He attacked with both his claws at her, aiming to pierce her with his claws. Theon meanwhile stood up from the hit. He turned his hand into a sword and ran at the Alpha.
Seras began to block the oncoming flurry of claw swipes from the deranged werewolf with all her might. She began to throw small blasts of fire at the Alpha, hoping it could push him back, but to no avail. Meanwhile she could see Theon racing up behind them, with his hand reformed into a blade. A small smile escaped her lips.
Theon saw Seras fighting against the alpha, she seemed to have blocked all of his attack. He raised his sword arm, and pierced the alpha. The sword appeared on the other side, as blood began to pour out. Theon laughed it was finally over!
The alpha grinned and said. "Is that all you got pup?" Theon looked at him dumbfound, the alpha then quickly span on his heels. And threw Theon against Seras, as the sword slipped out of the wound.
Seras quickly felt the full impact of Theon colliding into her, which sent her crashing into the ground. Her sword flew out from her hands and was embedded into the ground. She managed to push Theon off of her and stand up, although she was busy stumbling about for a moment. Seras then helped Theon up, dragging him up by the arms, which proved difficult at first, but her determination appeared to bring out a surge of strength from within.
"Theon, can you hear me? Are you alright?"
Theon was thrown against Seras, he was dazed and was then shoved off of her. He tried to stand up, but he was too dazed to get up. He was then pulled up by Seras, who seemed worried. "Yeah I can hear you, I am fine Seras.. Thanks." He turned to face the bleeding werewolf.
"Ready for round two whelps?" He asked grinning. Theon looked at the wound, it was healing slowly but he was clearly weakened. "Seras I will attack him, try to get your sword back." He whispered before charging at the Alpha.
She silently nodded in response to the request as Seras saw Theon charge towards the Alpha. Seras discovered that her sword was only a short distance away from where they landed on top of one another, so she quickly ran over to try and pull the blade free. It appeared as though the sword had landed with some force, as it was buried quite deeply, almost to the handle. This could take a little while, so she started pulling immediately.
Theon tried to punch the werewolf, but it was blocked by the grinning Alpha. He grabbed Theon's wrist, and pulled him forward pulling him of balance. He turned Theon's hand, and smashed him into the ground. Theon retaliated, by kicking him in his face.
The Alpha stepped back, and Theon jumped back up. He growled ad the alpha and then charged, and slashed the Alpha's arm open. Who jumped back and also growled, they began to circle each other growling and trying to look intimidating.
Seras continued to pull at the sword, each time it becoming a little bit looser, though she could see herself sweating; despite this being only in a mental realm, this had been the most she had been physically pushing herself for a while. Not that she was out of shape in the real world mind you. Ever since graduation, she had been keeping herself fit with runs which lasted an hour and more each day. Occasionally Theon would join her, as it gave them the chance to be better acquainted with one another.
Eventually, with a last minute exertion, the sword had been pulled free, which had almost toppled her over. Seeing how dirty it had became, Seras quickly washed it with a water spell. Giving it a few swings to help dry it off, she began walking towards the showdown between Theon and the Alpha.
The two werewolves jumped at each other, their claws and teeth sinking into each others flesh. They began to roll around, hitting, clawing and biting everything that they could. They both began to bleed from all kinds of wounds, though the taste of blood and the pain made them even more violent. Eventually Theon managed to grab the alpha by the neck, he planted his teeth into his neck and began to bite.
Blood spew from the wound, as the alpha was trying to push him off. He eventually succeeded, and Theon was thrown off. He stood back up his mouth filled with blood and flesh. The alpha stood up, blood gushing from his neck. Both werewolves were covered in blood, scratches and bruises. Theon felt his instincts slowly taking over, he would win no matter what!
Seras stood and watched with anguish as both Theon and the Alpha were biting and clawing at the other, and blood began to flow. She couldn't stand idly by and watch Theon become more and more injured. Focusing her magic in one hand, she casted a fire spell, with the intent to punch the Alpha werewolf. Seras then charged at the Alpha, striking with her sword first, and then punching him with her fiery fist. Before she could get caught up, Seras slashed at the Alpha's back.
The alpha was caught off guard, and the sword and punch confused him even more. He grabbed forward, but Seras side stepped and opened a large cut on his back. The alpha werewolf turned around, and tried to grab Seras again.
But Theon jumped on his back, and planted his teeth deep into his skin.He dropped himself, dragging the alpha to the ground. He tried to get Theon off of him, but he just kept biting away at his neck. A puddle of blood slowly beginning to form around him.
Seras narrowly avoided being grabbed by the Alpha, but fell back onto a nearby wall. She could see that Theon was tearing into the Alpha, and noticed the increasingly growing pool of blood that was forming. Regaining her balance she stood up and called to Theon.
"Theon, can't you see he is pretty beaten up, and will no doubt perish soon. If you have any form of warrior's honour, you'll give him a more dignified death; lest you turn into the beast that he himself is."
Theon looked surprised at Seras, he stopped biting and released the Alpha. He was breathing heavily, and still trying to stand up. Theon stood up, and looked at Seras. "I am sorry... I will finish it now." He looked down at the alpha, and changed his hand into an axe. He lifted his arm, and with one swoop decapitated the alpha.
He then stared at the alpha, while the mist around them slowly evaporated. "Thank Seras." He said slowly changing back to his human form, his clothes appearing out of nowhere. "Let's go." He said as he kissed Seras on the cheek and smiled. He then opened his eyes in the real world, and was happy to see Seras looking at him.
