"...Anyway, what brought you to this corner of the world?" Lord Rogue responded calmly enough; though the lord's words betrayed his contempt. All they did however, give him reason to smile. "Now now, Lord Rogue; there's no need for such accusations. I only think lesser of those people who think too much of themselves." he said, his smile taking an arrogant turn. "That everyone these days thinks themselves the equal of a vampire is no fault of mine." he added internally; Lord Rogue already knew his opinions of the matter so there was little need to state it in any but the most vague terms.

"Take, for instance, that little vampire council of Tepes; who argues so vehemently for their own extinction; elevating their cattle-" he said, glancing briefly at Dominic's wife, "- and pets-" now glancing at Theon, "-until they are equals. I look forward to the day the fools start to die from starvation in a sea of blood." he finished letting the comment sink in.

Having overheard the "parasite" comment earlier, he decided to make an addendum. "Or take this creature;" he said, looking at Lucia. A quick glance told him what he needed. The bracelet on her arm was enough to suggest her draconic origins - though not her particular color. "A creature so fearsome it needed to run to another world to hide from the humans." He directed his cruel grin at the insulted dragon, then moved on.

"But I digress; there are several reasons for my visit; but primary was a family matter - related to my wonderful nephew: Dwight." he said, indicating the half-demon. "Of course, I had several business matters to attend to as well. Though you do not need to deal with it so much; you know how busy vampire lords are in this day and age." he finished, his sarcasm dripping like blood after a fresh bite.

Anester continued to smile as he answered Zaheer's inquiry. "Oh, yes; I didn't mention it did I?" Turning back toward Richard, he raised his finger and pointed. "That man there just ascended a short while ago; he's headed back to England for a while, so the Cabal asked me to keep an eye on him; I guess there's something about powerful wizards in enclosed, flying tubes that gets people anxious." he said with a slight laugh.

As he stared beyond Richard however, he finally caught glimpse of Lord Crim. his smile disappeared briefly - replaced with a slight frown, but it returned to its former glory a moment later. "Anyway; he's an old friend of mine. If you'd like, I could introduce you to him? I figure two ascended mages should get along... or kill us all maybe, but hopefully the former." he offered, the last part in a dry witty tone.

Terra listed to Richard until he finished, closed her book, and replied through their bond "Why? It's not like I care what he thinks; and I'd rather just stay with you anyway. If he has a problem with it; then I get to irritate the jerk more. As far as I see it, it's a win-win.". As she spoke, she smiled. she was halfway tempted to kiss Richard, partly to annoy the jackass vampire, but mostly because Richard's lips were just that kissable.

"Say, which flight are you on?"

"The next one to Britain, gonna poke around there for awhile before hitting France, Germany and the like" Lucia said, stuffing her iPod back in her pocket "After that, home, I guess" shrugging a bit.

"Sasha doesn't like me being gone on these trips that long, but then, she's never really had any 'good' experiences with non-dragon folk" Lucia's gaze turning to the 'arrivals and departure' board.

"A creature so fearsome it needed to run to another world to hide from the humans."

Lucia's gaze snapped back to the vampire, all be it for a second. "Better to avoid a war that would damn the race as a whole, then to fight it and lose everything, but then, you parasites found that out the hard way when you tried taking our lands. Just how many of your kind where slaughtered whole sale for that, rather stupid stunt?" Lucia said rather bluntly, with a cruel laugh at the end "Does it bother you at all to know that all it really took to stop you foolish invasion where the Iron and Copper broods? Or that you where never worthy of the attention of the Gold or Platinum's?" She added really as a extra dig

"Could that perhaps wait until a bit before we get on the plain? It's mighty stuffy under the hat." Roland said and flew onto the man's shoulder instead. "And to be quite honest I can't remember the last time I washed my feet...probably when it rained."

"And what might I call you?" he asked, changing the topic before he said too much.

John was listening intently, anger rising a bit, but still trying to process the information that Lord Crim was giving away.

"So, the half-vamp isn't dating a human, she is dating... a werewolf? That would fit," John thought.

"A creature so fearsome it needed to run to another world to hide from the humans."

"She IS a dragon?" John thought, looking back at her, seeing her murderous look in time to hear her reply.

"Does it bother you at all to know that all it really took to stop you foolish invasion where the Iron and Copper broods? Or that you where never worthy of the attention of the Gold or Platinum's?"

Her tone seemed to imply this dragon wasn't of the former two groups but of the later two groups.

"A $#^&ING GOLD DRAGON? Oh, this was not good..." John remembered it took several gunships and jets fighters to take out just a rampaging Silver Dragon, he highly doubted he had anything that could even hurt a Gold if she took her natural form.

"Why didn't I get backup?"

"Anyway; he's an old friend of mine. If you'd like, I could introduce you to him? I figure two ascended mages should get along... or kill us all maybe, but hopefully the former."

Zaheer smiled when he heard the other was an ascended. He supposed it made sense, but it also made him wonder of the power his contact held. Most shied away from ascended and Zaheer could hardly blame them, after all he could probably blow up the entire city if he wanted to. Having him as a friend wasn't the safest occupation. "Ah, I heard another one had. Good for him and no, I don't wish to begin killing my own kind today."

This wouldn't be the first ascended he had met, but it was the first time Zaheer would be more powerful than another of his own race. The thought of that excited him a tiny bit but he regained composure and proceeded. The other was intimate and all Zaheer could feel for him was pity, as ascended live a lot longer than non-celestial beings and this time would soon just be another faded memory for him. The arch-magus had long ago decided that intimacy would end poorly for him.

"Let's gather his attention, is there anything you need to tell me about London before we leave?"

"Lord Rogue! What a surprise to see you here!...Tell me, how are your... wife and daughters?" The strange man asked, his tone towards the end shifted, hinting that he was going to use some more unpleasant words. The kiss between Theon and Seras ended. Theon looked at the new man, he could sense danger around him. His smell betrayed that he was a vampire, he also seemed to be an enemy of Dominic. "Ah Edward, I thought someone as vain and as self-righteous as you couldn't stand the sight of being around those you declare as 'less' than you are....Anyway, what brought you to this corner of the world?" "Now now, Lord Rogue; there's no need for such accusations. I only think lesser of those people who think too much of themselves." he said with an arrogant smile. Theon disliked his kind, vampires who thought they were above everyone else.

"That everyone these days thinks themselves the equal of a vampire is no fault of mine. Take, for instance, that little vampire council of Tepes; who argues so vehemently for their own extinction; elevating their cattle-" he said, glancing briefly at Dominic's wife, "- and pets-" now glancing at Theon, "-until they are equals. I look forward to the day the fools start to die from starvation in a sea of blood." Theon was filled with anger, his werewolf fangs appeared. He looked at Seras "Who is that? And what gives him the right to talk like that?" he whispered to her. He was thinking about attacking the vampire to show what a werewolf could do.

"You cahn call me Satadey. I'm a Loa, son of Baron Samedi 'imself." Saturday said as he put his hat back on.

He exited the bathroom and walked back to the gate with Roland on his shoulder. He could immediately see tensions were running a bit high an sighed. He wasn't here to get involved in anyone else's affairs. He was there to make a deal with Sir Crim and enjoy London for a little while. He sat down and tilted his hat forward so that it covered his eyes and pretended to sleep. What he was really doing was focusing on listening to what was going on around him, hoping he could eavesdrop a bit on Sir Crim.

I'm getting ready to fly home for thanksgiving so I don't have a lot of spare time at the moment.

"Now now, Lord Rogue; there's no need for such accusations. I only think lesser of those people who think too much of themselves." Edward said, his smile taking a more arrogant look. "That everyone these days thinks themselves the equal of a vampire is no fault of mine." He then added in a more softer tone, so only the two vampire lords could hear. Dominic already knew his stance on the matter, so there was no need to elaborate on it further than in the vaguest of terms.

"Take for instance, that little vampire Council of Tepes; who argues so vehemently for their own extinction; elevating their cattle-" Edward said briefly glancing at Nicole "- and pets-" he then added, glaring at Theon. "-until they are equals. I look forward to the day the fools start to die from starvation in a sea of blood."

"Now you listen here Edward, and you listen well; just because you are a member of parliament, and that your family is one of the more powerful, doesn't mean you can decide the course of action that vampires have to take; your not that powerful, nor will you ever be. And you also forget that both parliament and the Council of Tepes have to work together."

"Or take this creature;" Edward said, turning to the girl with the dark blue hair. "A creature so fearsome it needed to run to another world to hide from the humans." Edward flashed a cruel grin at the lady. Dominic turned to look at a lady in question, her bracelet showed that she was a dragon, and from the quality of it, rather high up. The lady looked visibly angry at Edward.

"Better to avoid a war that would damn the race as a whole, then to fight it and lose everything, but then, you parasites found that out the hard way when you tried taking our lands. Just how many of your kind where slaughtered whole sale for that, rather stupid stunt?" She asked in a rather blunt manner, adding a cruel laugh afterwards. "Does it bother you at all to know that all it really took to stop you foolish invasion where the Iron and Copper broods? Or that you where never worthy of the attention of the Gold or Platinum's?"

"I have to admit, the lady does have a point." Dominic said, interrupting the pair before they had a chance to continue. "That conflict cost us a great deal, and to be beaten back by the lower levels of their society,-" He then turned to the lady "No offence intended." Dominic then turned back to Edward. "-certainly shows how inept the person leading the charge was. Wasn't it your family that suggested the conflict in the first place?"

"But I digress; there are several reasons for my visit; but primary was a family matter - related to my wonderful nephew: Dwight." He said, gesturing at a young looking man who was nearby. Dominic could tell at a glance the Dwight was a half-demon. "Of course, I had several business matters to attend to as well. Though you do not need to deal with it so much; you know how busy vampire lords are in this day and age."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The kiss between Theon and Seras soon ended a short while after Edward had began talking to Dominic. Theon looked angry at all the harsh words and criticisms. He then looked and Seras.

"Who is that? And what gives him the right to talk like that?" Theon asked, as Seras looked at Edward, then looked away.

"That is Sir Edward Crim, Vampire Lord of Sussex. A self-righteous, arrogant bastard who cares mainly for pure-blood vampires. His family is one of the most powerful, and he is a member of the British parliament. He and my father are at opposite ends of the scale regarding human/vampire relations if I recall correctly; though I care not for the man." Seras said quietly as she began to massage her head to rid herself of a headache regarding the situation.

"*Sigh* Why does this have to happen today? I was looking forward to our trip to England. If your going to do something Theon, don't provoke him or provide him with any more ammunition to use against you. Although if I am being honest, I'd be happy if you didn't do anything at all." She then added in a more saddened tone.

Richard leaned himself back to whisper in the other couple's ear, behind him and his sweetheart "Theon, there is more than her family name at stake. There's a human tail on the lord himself, and enough powerful paranormals here with an inch long fuse to flatten the entire eastern seaboard. Crim is no friend to my people either, but Seras's father is a capable man so far as I've heard of him, let's just let a sleeping bigot deny." Richard gave a sour smile as his eyes motioned in the direction to the confrontation

"I have to admit, the lady does have a point." the other vampire said, adding his own thoughts on the subject."That conflict cost us a great deal, and to be beaten back by the lower levels of their society, No offense intended." he said, with what seemed to be genuine respect at the end "-certainly shows how inept the person leading the charge was. Wasn't it your family that suggested the conflict in the first place?"

"None taken" Lucia simply replied, her tone significantly less hostile with him, though she did study him, trying to figure out what to make of him. He apparently has a human wife and half breed offspring, and given this 'Crim's disapproval, he wasn't making any apology's for it ether.

"You cahn call me Satadey. I'm a Loa, son of Baron Samedi 'imself."

"A pleasure to meet you," Roland said and smiled though it was near impossible to tell. The name Baron Samedi did say anythign to him so he stayed quiet on that topic. Roland stayed on Saturday's shoulder when the Loa exited the bathroom and went back to his seat. Things seemed to have gotten tense between some of the passengers while he was gone. He wasn't all that familiar with the supernatural but it seemed like two vampires were having a rather heated discussion.

Since it seemed like Saturday was going to sleep for a while, Roland quietly jumped off his shoulder and flew a bit closer to them, landing on a seat near a joung couple.

Lucia replied, though she seemed to be having some trouble with that, "The next one to Britain, gonna poke around there for awhile before hitting France, Germany and the like" Lucia said, stuffing her iPod back in her pocket "After that, home, I guess"

"Sasha doesn't like me being gone on these trips that long, but then, she's never really had any 'good' experiences with non-dragon folk"

Pegs was about to answer back, but cut herself as Lucia turned to talk to the huddle of vampires - you could tell by the pale complexion and the dress. There was a particularity pompous one, though. As Pegs listened in to the conversation, she heard him say slurs and whatnot with a sneer. 'I have nothing to say to you', she thought as she glared at him. The rest of the pale bunch seems to be more amiable, at least. Well, they took Lucia's little cruel remark pretty well for a species renown for its pride and anger when said pride was shattered. She sighed, this wasn't some mansion or something appropriate for a great vampiric debate. It was an airport terminal, where people stream in and out.

She sighed and muttered to herself, "Yet another stupid obstruction."

Lucius floated across the airport departures lounge, to a quiet corner, where he decided to loiter for a while, until this 'Plane' contraption arrived. As he waited, he surveyed the room, looking out for any immediate threats. If just to kill time, he started to cast a basic spell, lighting a small flame in his hand, then closing his hand to extinguish it. He repeated this a few times before returning to surveying the growing throng of people.

sorry i've not posted in a while, been busy.

No matter how powerful they are they are just simple minded self centered fools. And if you don't want me to fight him, I won't, though if I would he would lose." Theon smiled as he kissed her forehead. "And if you don't want to worry about him then don't. Let's just focus on our trip and ignore him.

This situation was deteriating fast. He could tell that everyone was taking a more aggressive stance, many looking like they wanted Crim's head. A fight would cause the entire airport to be shut down, a lot of it could be destroyed, rhere are to many human bystanders, many that would die in collaterial damage, and John would lose his dental coverage if he lost control of Crim.

He neither had the equipment, the magical ability, or access to anything large enough to turn into a gollum (everything big enough was nailed to the floor) to stop them.

"Think, think," John thought deseperatly, thankfully able to keep his appearance calm. He looked around for anything that could be used to defuse the situation, then he spotted his only hope.

A fire sprinkler was located directly above Crim's head.

John pointed at the sprinkler, ready to use a fire spell to set it off.

It's ok Westerman, we are just glad to have you. :)

Note, in real life, setting off a flame under a sprinkler doesn't set off ALL the buildings sprinklers, like in the moives. It only sets off the one that detected the fire. Partly it is to make sure the water pressure is focused on where the actual FIRE is, and partly because the building owners don't want a lawsuit for a lot of water damage.

Anester was dragged from his stupor by Zaheer's question. He shook his head free of the thoughts he had been pondering, smiled and answered the ascended's question. "Not much at the moment; unlike you ascended, we normal mages need to play it a little safe - particularly with people like... well, anti-human people around." he said, the last part under his breath, using his eyes to indicate the arguing vampire lords. The ascended might be on par with such a being, but Anester knew he and other un-ascended mages were no match for a vampire; at least not without some edge in their favor.

"I can say that the two of you will be meeting with a more important cabal mage when we reach London's airport; assuming everything goes according to plan of course." he said with a slight shake of his head and a roll of his eyes. He would never understand why the cabal insisted on giving escorts to Ascended traveling to England when they were just going to meet them in the airport any way. Anester let the thought go however; he'd wondered about it for a long time, and had no reason to believe it would end anytime soon.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Edward merely laughed at the words of the two; they were so naive; especially given their age. "Tell me dragon; do you still believe we waged that little conflict to try and conquer some worthless chunk of land? If we wanted your little world so badly, we would take it from you; and you wouldn't even know until it was too late." he said with a vile grin. He considered the century old plan; even thought about revealing it, but decided against it. It may not be very important anymore, but there was no sense giving the feeble-minded, overgrown lizards a hint at what they had done; particularly if they were still misunderstanding their true intent. "Needless to say, we got what we wanted; Vampires always do. As for you lizards-" he said, glancing at the dragon, as well as all the other reptilian monsters at the gate (OOC: read - "Mohini"), "-well I think your time passed a good 65 million years ago." he said, finishing what he had to say on the topic of the Drake-Dracula war and of lizard-like monsters.

Returning his attention to Dominic, he went on to say "It's rather sweet to hear you comment on "control" - you Tepes think you can control the fate of the vampires far more then my family does. How many accords have you made to prevent Vampires from drinking the blood of humans? How many vampires - the truest lords of this world - now must choose between starving in the streets or rotting in a silver-coated prison?" he added, his voice flustered. Truth told, he hadn't expected anyone other then Lord Rogue to dare speak to him; more proof of how the great and mighty vampires were beginning to fall; all because they allowed the other creatures concessions.

Lord Crim was going to add more, but a voice came over the loud-speaker, saying "Attention all passengers of flight 2387; with continuous service to London, England. We are beginning priority boarding, boarding of military service personnel in uniform, and...". With the sound, he decided to instead make a short reply to Lord Rogue in favor of his ability to board early - he was after all a "priority passenger" and he did like to use his privileges.

"I will say this, Lord Rogue; you may believe you're doing what's best for the vampires, but I tell you it's mere sentiment; founded in poor assumptions and foolish beliefs in equality. I, however, am a realist. We're vampires. We survive on the blood of the creatures below us and EVERY creature is below us. It would be wise to remember this." He turned and continued his march back to meet his wife; who had been oddly quiet during the exchange. When the two had gathered their few carry-on possessions, they moved toward the gate - ready to take their seats.

Just before he entered the gate, he turned once more - unable to resist one last petty insult. "Oh, and lord Rogue; you may want to invest in a flee collar." he said, indicating Theon and Seras with a long, finger, twisted with age. Before any could respond, the two moved into the gate and the plane beyond, the echo of his cruel laugh at his own equally cruel joke noticeable to all who listened.

Ah the fun of RP-ing a real bastard of a character... Thank god I'm done with him for now; I'm not good at spewing that kind of hate; even fictitiously to set up a villain. Anyway; you can feel free to board whenever you feel like (only after the echo's of Edward have vanished); I've finished my mystery setup. All that's left is to commit the crime and let you try and solve it. Sir Edward Crim, Vampire Lord of Sussex (whose full name I only use because it's fun to say) is seat 13E (his wife is 13F) - mentioned for when you board and take your seats should you want to find them.

Lucia just laughed at the stuck up, and delusional Vampire, especially the part about 'vampires being above all other life', that she found particularly funny. If the Vampire had been after something else during the war, the Golds and Platinums would have discovered it and used it against them. Vampire are hardly as clever as Dragons after all "Yeah, you keep telling your self that." She said as she grabbed her bag.

"well, shall we then?" Lucia said to Pegs as she headed to the the counter to board the plane. After getting checked in and a flight attendant showing her her seat, 12F, and the initial disgust at see that idiot vampire again, she sat down.

"Combu-," John began to Whisper.

"Attention all passengers of flight 2387; with continuous service to London, England. We are beginning priority boarding, boarding of military service personnel in uniform, and..."

So Crim was saved by the bell, as he watched the arrogant Lord enter the airplane. John really wanted to see everyone laughing at the pompous @$$.

John grabbed his suitcase, and walked to his seat.

"Your a vampire Lord with untold riches, why are you not flying on Virgin?" John signed as he stepped onto the second rate airline.

John sat in his old and cement hard seat (14A)("Your a Vampire Lord with untold riches, why are you flying in economy?") John noticed another problem as well. With Crim in 13 E, John had no direct line of sight on the vampire he was supposed to be trailing.

"Just better and better.."

"well, shall we then?" Lucia said to Pegs as she headed to the the counter to board the plane.

"Yup, time's a-wasting." Pegs replied.

Finally the boarding call came and the rush of people with it. Pegs wasted no time grabbing the rest of her hand luggage left by the chair and joined the queue, glad to see that the hullabaloo with the uppity Vampire Lord was over. She retrieved the ticket out of her shoulder bag, it was creased, but it would do. After all, you could still make out the seat number: 12E. The attendant was pleasant as always as she smiled and welcomed Pegs on-board.

She turned to Lucia in disbelief, luck like this only came once in a blue moon and here she was, with a seat next a pleasant-enough person. Well, she wouldn't mind missing out on the window seat if a friend was there. At least it was a welcome breath of fresh air from reading the same trashy novel over and over again. Humans really liked pairing supernaturals with their own species. But then again, she guessed it was just down to some people having strange fetishes.

"Lucky break, huh?" She said as she sat down, and motioned towards Seat 12D. "Wonder who's the unlucky person that's going to sit there though."

'Vampires, dhampirs, dragons and, oh my!' Pegs thought, 'Just another normal day...'
