So early-access just got released, at least on steam. They are asking for $40, but I knew the game was gonna be trash and I would refund it in two hours.

First off, this game tries to borrow every zombie survival game mechanic in the book. limited backpack space, resource-gathering, base-building, etc. But you know what? It also doesn't have mechanics that should be in a zombie game; It's not an open-world, which is contrary to what they have been building up to so far. There's also no melee attacks. WTF?

There's also the typical social hub area where you'll get your missions, turn them in, or get new gears. It's so bland.

And the world doesn't even look that pleasing. I mean look at this clip from IGN. You tell me if this looks anything like the devs have been hyping up to?

I refunded in 1.5 hours. I don't even think further updates will even fix this game. DO NOT GET IT!!

I keep forgetting this game even exists. I thought it was quietly canceled. I never had any plans on getting this, as most zombie games do nothing for me. Thank you for the heads up. We all saw the writings on the wall.

I know that zombies are supposed to be literally braindead, but how do they manage to lose track of the player so often? They either run past her or apparently pathfind the longest possible route.

So this game is real. I thought it was some kind of investor scam. Owen Wilson Wow.

As someone who thinks he is losing (or lost) touch with big-budget gaming sometimes: I have never heard of this title before.

Sounds generic and "~2015" as hell.

One thing: i had "Star Citizen" and "Starfield" and i think something else mixed up in my head as well forever as a "Random Science Fiction slop which will never be anything".

So Like with Hollywood Movies: Maybe it is time to reduce the budgets, and get creative?

EDIT: Watched the first gameplay video (Or scanned through it ) - Wait. i have seen that game before a few years back. The Legion, oder The Union or something? Can't remember the name

I've been reading in YouTube comments (which, as we all know, is the premiere source of factual reporting) that not only has Steam removed the game from its listings, but refunds are being granted basically carte blanche and Valve has withheld payment from the devs. True? I dunno, but it'd be great if it was.

Oh fuck, this is probably one of the fastest studio closure post-game launch

Not to sound caustic, but when people say they put five years of “blood, sweat and tears” into a game, and it winds up like this…barring horrible upper management decisions (would love to see a “What Happened?” on this one) maybe it’s time to consider new career paths. Or at the very least, a much different, smaller scale type of game.

Didn’t watch it all yet but I guess this will have to do for now -

This statement is kinda disturbing -
Analyst Andrew Uerkwitz, a managing director at the financial services firm Jefferies, told IGN so-called ‘scam’ games will likely become more prevalent as third-party game engines become easier to use among the spread of AI enablement. “The good news is gamers are very good at figuring these things out,” Uerkwitz said.

Yeah, gamers that didn’t fucking bother with it in the first place.
