As you can see, the RP isn't fleshed out yet, this is just to see if anyone is interested in the concept.
We've all seen the actions of the supernatural, the extra-terrestrial in their own settings and time periods. Vampires and the like in the 19th century, Aliens in the 1940's-50's etc. But what if these forces that existed before the 1930?s had influence in the events of the early twentieth century and were never stopped?
"When the Second Great War kicked off, it got weird fast...."
A WW2-Punk Science Fantasy War/Espionage story about The Dead Men Brigade, a force assembled to take on the hidden forces behind the great powers in an attempt to avert all out war and the absolute devastation it would create, or to avert what hidden agendas are at play. Formed from the most rotten, crazy or weird soldiers to serve in the armies of the Allies (The United States, The British Empire and the Commonwealth, and The French Republic) and neutral nations, they are sent on missions that no sane man would agree to knowing what could possibly lay ahead for them.
Set in 1952 in an alternate universe wherein the Rise of Nazism and the Soviet revolution in Russia never occur and consequently The Second World War never occurs at its full extent.
In their places, Imperial Germany rises once again as the Kaiserreich der Deutchsland over the course of decades, remaining neutral for the most part and slowly rebuilding to eventually take revenge against the Allies for the Treaty of Versailles and take Europe. At first it seems that it?s simply history repeating, until sporadic reports come in to the Allies and League of Nations about suspected acts of Vampirism among the Aristocracy and Monarchy...
Meanwhile, the Russian Civil War comes to an abrupt end in 1920 when a third force appears, described by shell-shocked survivors of foreign armies as "a force of Steel and Lightning, the like of which has never been seen on this earth." Within months, the two sides of the war are whittled down to the point that the war is abandoned in favor of trying to rebuild. A wall is then erected across the border, sealing Russia from the world for decades, not a single survivor, transmission or word would come out of "The Iron Curtain" for decades. The only hints to what would be happening were loose anecdotes from foreign veterans of the Civil war who got out before the country was sealed off. From then on, the thought stayed in the minds of every other great power, what arrived there, and why was it here, and when would it choose to appear again....
Presented with such possible threats becoming more and more evident, The League of Nations opts to create a force in secret from the suspected powers drawn mainly from neutral countries and ex-soldiers from Allied powers. Only they aren't looking for heroes, they?re looking for those crazy enough to make this career choice....
