For the purpose of this I don't care about the upcoming game, Dante's Inferno.

What I do care about is how many people here have read The Divine Comedy & where you found the copy (cause I really want one)

personally i've only read small parts of it, thats why I want a copy.

Never read it, but I am sure you can get it at any bookstore or on Amazon.

I've read it, and made a children's book on it (for a project). And you can probably find it at most bookstores.

You can find it practically anywhere; also, might I suggest the 1911 silent film adaptation of Inferno? It's really quite good.

It is one of my favorite books, Inferno that is. The other two were not as passionate in my opinion.
Just go to any book store, I don't know where you are from, but a Borders or Walden Books. Any large company based book store and they 'should' have a copy. They must have a copy, it is one of the best literary works next to Homer's Odyssey.

We read excerpts from the Inferno in English class back in high school. Kind of an interesting read, but I don't suggest reading it from a silly, clunky English textbook. If I were you, I'd check what they have at my local library, and go from there.

I've read the Inferno as told by Longfellow. I suggest looking for a more common tongue translation.

I've read the first few Cantos when I was on holiday. The house we were staying in had a copy but I didn't get very far unfortunately. I had only read up to the descent into hell, the arrival at the first circle. It is a great poem from what little I've read and I need to look to tracking down my own copy. Sorry I can't help you OP but try amazon.

Most translations of The Divine Comedy are considered public domain now. Like most classics, you can find almost all versions of it online, free of charge, courtesy of Project Gutenberg [http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/authors/d#a507].

You can find it anywhere. Its considered the greatest work of Italian Literature ever, so finding it would be as easy as finding Shakespeare. I'm reading it senior year, I can't wait

I found it somewhere, the whole thing on one page, in really tiny print. You should be able to get the proper book version in any bookstore.

How the hell do you make a children's book about the place where the most evil and dark people go when they die to be punished painfully for all eternity? Also, there are many places where you can read The Divine Comedy Online. But if you want a hard copy, and Joseph Beth should have at least one in stock.

I have read it. I found a copy at Barnes and Noble. They are available at ANY major bookstore I'd suspect since the book can literally be published by anybody. If you don't want to pay a dime, google books [http://books.google.com/books?id=l_jw736L-TcC&printsec=frontcover&dq=the+divine+comedy&source=bl&ots=qvF_c5dCW2&sig=XmkIWOYBtu6Qj9aJzA5JN82DeFw&hl=en&ei=P59_S4vUIJSKNPOxkb8E&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CBMQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=&f=false] has you covered.

I should point out that the Divine Comedy is not the sort of book one just sits around and reads. It is a grind in every sense of the word since, unfortunately, most of the meaning of the work is found in the close examination and interpretation of the details. The complete set of books is significantly shorter than you average trade paperback and will take the average person many times longer to work though, assuming they want to understand it of course.
