But literally duck faces, 90% of them do it, and go full 'instagram' on it (Instagram essentially gives it cheap filtering and other effects). I believe they do it because it indicates femininity, sexiness and 'I-Do-What-I-Want-Ness' (Yes I made that up! Don't judge me!). When you experience the horror that is Australian Teenage Girls doing the duck face everywhere and everywhen you can have a true understanding of just how horrible it is.

My 12 year old sister is in Austrailia right now.. oh god..

She always does that weird pose when she holds her finger and thumb in an L shape below their chin...

What the bloody hell is your family thinking keeping her there!??! Get her out of that evil place right now! She's already into the poser stage! The L shape thing is the 'thinker pose', usually done by retarded male twits that want people to look at them and believe that they think deeply on things!
