Tell me when you want to head into the next room and i'll reveal the room for you

Toki smiled slightly at Cystal then to Paran. "Hate to say it, but she's right. If you're movements are going to be hindered by a small wound, then you may want to head back." Toki said with slight apology. "Cystal, watch your steps, a wounded lizard made it through so if you'll please, step only where the blood is. We know those steps are safe." Toki added as he turned back to Cystal, and sheathed his knife.

"Deal. Stick close boys. The party's just getting started." Cystal said, licking her lips with a mistivious grin as she twirled the hand axe around and around before starting into the next room. Ready when you all are.

Crystal pushed open the door to reveal a square room. Steps lead down to a small ston pedastil in the center of the room. The blood trail from the drake had vanished after entering this room, and a pale eerie white glow shone down on the pedistal. Two doors could be seen across the hall, and a lever could be seen inbetween the doors. On the pedistal sat a small silver crown, inlaid with emeralds and adorned with a royal family symbol.

Paran pushed off the wall and scowled. Fantastic, we've barely gottern started and they already thought he was a wimp. He grabbed his lantern and followed them into the room.

Cystal chuckled. "Look at this. First room and we've already run into our very first cursed artifact... maybe."

She cautiously stepped in the room, her eyes closed and her left ear twiching for a moment before she stood up and said, "Be careful. There is a trap here, but I can't tell where it is or what would set it off."

 

[Crayzor]

"Well, isn't that helpful!" Paran muttered as he entered the room. He looked around, taking in everything. "Where the hell did that damn drake go?"

Toki nodded to Cystal and removed his cloak. "My money is on either the light, or a pressure plate by the crown." Toki drew out his picks and began to closely and carefully examine everything around the pedastal. "Probably behind one of the doors Paran."

 

[Crayzor]

"But where did the blood trail go? Maybe this trap got it." Paran shook his head and extinguished his lantern. This room was a lot brighter than the entrance, thanks to that unsettling light shining on the pedestal.

 

[Blights]

Blights looked at Paran. "Unfortunately, we probably aren't that lucky, the lizard probably died halfway across the room, leaving even more traps for us." Blights sighed.

"What fun" He said, with a hint of sarcasm.

Cystal looked around with a frown. "I don't like it. The blood trail just... stops." She growls, still flurishing the hand-axe around and around as she contemplates her next move. "Well, lets look around a little bit, see what we can find, and DONT. TOUCH. ANYTHING."

 

[Blights]

"Was I not supposed to?" Blights said, fiddling with a bit of gold he found from the floor.
"Woops"

 

[Crayzor]

Paran chuckled to himself at Blights and set off across the room. "I'm gonna check out that lever," he called and walked around the side of the room, carefully skirting the pedestal, mindful of what Toki had said about it.

 

[Blights]

Blights followed, anxious to see what the lever would do.

Cystal found herself being drawn to the pedistal with the bright light and the jewel. "... Pretty." She muttered before shakeing her head slightly to try to get the thoughts of taking the jewew from entering her head.

 

[Crayzor]

Paran and Blights reached the lever and examined it. It was a simple, nondescript wooden lever, with nothing out of the ordinary about it. Looking at Blights, Paran said, "Should we pull it?"

 

[Blights]

"Not yet, let's see if we can find indication of a trap that might be set off before we do" Blights said. He started looking around, and indicated Paran to follow.

 

[TheBYOBGig]

Toki frowned to himself. "I haven't had enough time to fully examine this entire room, but my gut says the lever will activate the doors, or a trap, and the same thing applies to this pedastal." Toki finished explaining before looking up, trying to find out where the light was coming from.

"That pretty much sums it up..." Cystal muttered before she nodded over towards the crown with the royal crest. "And what about that? Leave it, take it? What should we do with the jeweled crown?"
