Anyone else see the Ruse trailer?

Didn't show any gameplay, but damn if it wasn't the coolest trailer I've ever seen.
It was ripped off Age of Empires 2 trailer. xP
*Does a Youtube search*

Yeah, it was kind of a rip-off. Still, the dummy-filled landing crafts were pretty epic. i wonder if we'll be able to do things like that in-game.

This is nearly as lame as the EA girls thing...
huh? did i miss that? darn.
yeah EA had presentation ealier. really missed out on dreamgirls: pjama party announcement :D
great. /: lol ohhh it's such a strange world for girl gamers.
[real ones, not the ones trying to prove someone.]
Agreed. I belive that there are a "Girl Gamers" club/website and team. From what I've heard they're not bad. Although I have no respect for anyone in a team when they play COD4 online or Unreal Tournament 3 online and can't beat me.
lawl funny stuff.

i don't care to play with girls.
i'd rather play with guys.
i don't have but one female friend.
& she's a gamer too. :D

well theres not enough of them. hopefully all these kiddy girl games will mean more in the next generation.

edit: more female geeks = less lonely male ones.

Splinter Cell is Xbox's Metal Gear... stealth espionage combat with a more 'real world' environment, where Metal Gear has a decided sci-fi/futuristic tent with it's Metal Gears, cyborgs-ninjas, vampires, and clones.

Splinter Cell is more like a Tom Clancy spy novel, and almost everything is more centered around modern day situations and technology.

But the game play is pretty similar, except that Sam has interrogation abilities and is a good deal more versatile in using his environment to hide, while Snake is smarter in his methods and a better at evasion tactics once discovered. Hell, most of the time in Splinter Cell, if Sam is discovered it's just plain game over.

Honestly, though, how long before that gets old?
I can imagine just about the 100th time someone tries the "dummy-filled landing crafts* would illicit an eye roll from me... that is until it's actually full of soldiers and the fleet BEHIND them are filled with dummies instead...
It just seems kinda gimmicky to me.

I have a few female friends, and none of them are gamers. I know a one woman that plays games seriously, and she's not half bad but still can't beat me. I play games against mostly guys because, well, I'm assuming most of the people I play online against are guys and in the LAN game society there is only one woman. Also, there are no girls in my course so I'm stuck with them to play against during labs.
Honestly i dont think women have the ego or testosterone levels to really get into video games that are terribly intense. They tend to like little fun time-wasters like bubble bobble and the Sims. Virtual competition seems to bore them.

O dear lords of Kobol, more 'comedy' in form of big rabbit mascotes... Ya know, that's what I loved about EA's pressconference. It was to-the-point. All this babbeling around, arg.

Ok The Ryan Seacrest jokes are just... kinda getting old.
I hope Sony is taking notes and saying "hahaha silly french company no know how to entertain american boy attention span.. we show them! Prepare the super sexy cosplay models and let Mr. Octopus Ninja Warrior All-Star know he goes on at 11 am sharp!"
