The Ninty one is worse, at least Ubisoft had a Red Steel 2 and Splinter Cell: Convictions gameplay demo. Nintendo only had that Super Mario Bros 3 remake with multiplayer as a demo. They pushed Golden Sun DS through it way too fast, but they ended with a bang: that new Metroid game looks VERY cool. But even Metroid couldn't make it less of a bore than the Ubisoft one.SteveDave said:Ubi's confrence was probably the biggest bore-fest I have ever seen.
To be honest..no.Assassinator said:The Ninty one is worse, at least Ubisoft had a Red Steel 2 and Splinter Cell: Convictions gameplay demo. You jest sir. I'm sorry but to have James Cameron walk up on stage and talk about Avatar for what seemed like thirty minutes and then not even show one single screen or a second of gameplay or even a pre-rendered trailor is worse then waterboarding.Assassinator said:The Ninty one is worse, at least Ubisoft had a Red Steel 2 and Splinter Cell: Convictions gameplay demo. They showed that gameplay demo at 2 press conferences? Even still, they had those games, yes the James Cameron stuff was odd and really out of place (and very annoying), but hell, all Nintendo managed to show for Wii Motion Plus was that Wii Sports crap. Not to mention rambeling ages about the new Wii Fit, seeing folks blabbing about the new DSi features, Iwata rambeling for 10 minutes about...something. At least Ubisoft had those other things.oliveira8 said:To be honest..no.
Splinter Cell was already showed at the Microsoft one. Red Steel 2 would have worked better being showed at the Nintendo Conference showing off the Wii motion Plus and the AC2 trailer was the only good thing on it. Oh! And Pelé.
It took Ubi almost 40 minutes to show one game trailer. We had JAmes Cameron talking about nothing for 20 minutes. It was BAD.
True, that was horrible, why didn't they at least show something from Avatar? Very boring indeed. But at least they picked up after that. Nintendo just stayed meeh, and how they did almost nothing with Golden Sun DS was just evil.SteveDave said:You jest sir. I'd classify the new Metroid game as new, it's really unlike any Metroid game I've seen so far.Armored Prayer said:Its good to see Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. But I think it would be nice to see some new games being made by Nintendo. You cant be making the same games over and over.
Iwata rambling for 10 minutes about something beats the crap out of Cameron rambling about nothing for 20 minutes.Assassinator said:They showed that gameplay demo at 2 press conferences? But combine the bitching about the new Wii Fit and the DSi features together with Iwata, and we got just as much crap. O ok then, both suck a lot, you're right about the BG&E2 part, I was very dissapointed. The AC2 trailer was kinda meeh as well.oliveira8 said:Iwata rambling for 10 minutes about something beats the crap out of Cameron rambling about nothing for 20 minutes.
At least Iwata showed us some power point slides.
Ubisoft=Horrible
Nintendo=average.
Also Ubisoft failed to show Beyond Good & Evil 2.
I forgot to mention that all the boasting Ubi did was very unbearable. People don't want to look at graphs to see how well your company DID they want to see what you are going to DO. Also all of the hosts, already forgot his name, jokes were mostly not funny and awkward.Assassinator said:But combine the bitching about the new Wii Fit and the DSi features together with Iwata, and we got just as much crap. I only wish I had no idea what they were going to talk about and reveal.oliveira8 said:Sony is almost starting.
Proper BC and price cut please?scotth266 said:Well, now that Sony is about to start, I have to say that I'm REALLY psyched. Microsoft and Nintendo have had some pretty heavy hitters, so can the king of the last generation give us all a reason to love them again this year?
Hopefully so... but only time will tell.
Also, I'll edit in a poll when the Sony Conference is done, so people can vote for their favorite one.
