Is everyone ready for this? For what possibly could be the greatest movie of our time. A movie so good they're not allowing critics to talk about it until the movies released.

In less than 24 hours the magic begins.

Meh, a bunch of sourpusses are losing their collective heads over something trivial. Just another popular ( popular to hate ) thing to needlessly and disproportionately hate on for people with too much time on their hands.

Not much of a moviegoer myself, but it doesn't really look much worse than many of the other children's movies that get thrown out all the time.

It's literally Wreck it Ralph with emojis. In other words, shit Wreck it Ralph.

That's a good sign that no one liked the movie, if they're purposely cockblocking reviews/first impressions then it's likely no one had anything good to say about it. I will laugh if a bunch of critics' reviews just consist of a picture of the shit emoji and a rating to sum up what their saw.

Well, a review [http://www.myajc.com/entertainment/movies/emoji-movie-could-not-more-meh/sXo3bVA9tXtX2a90Dy03SN/] has been found on myAJC.com declaring it to be a resounding:

[HEADING=1]MEH[/HEADING]

Which honestly sounds about right.

Can you not make your videos play automatically please? It scares me when I enter a thread and my volume is up high.
Meh? Sometimes messages must be sent. I can do it less often, but I won't stop all together.

The bigger issue people have is that two projects were cancelled in favor of this movie. A Popeye movie by Geddy TartarSauceSky and Medusa by Lauren Faust. It's just more proof that to be an executive, you need a lobotomy first.

I checked the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. All of them negative, most of them not overly so. They basically say that the movie is as bland as saft. (That's a hilarious pun if you speak Swedish.)

Seriously they had a Popeye movie that was gonna be made by Genndy Tartakovsky and they cancel that for this? Fuck you, Sony.

Will it really be worse than Annabelle 2 or Nut Job 2 or Tyler Perry's Madea Halloween 2 (all of which are coming out this year)?
You need to remember that people wanted to hate this since it was announced so even if it's watchable, they will still say it's the worst thing ever.

Is it merely meh or or is it bad enough to make Moviebob turn into Razorfist for a few glorious minutes?

I would rather have had Popeye from Genndy than an emoji movie.
Really though, emojis? Talk about behind the times.

Swede here, can confirm. You should all be rolling on the floor laughing from this hilarious pun.

Meh, another mediocre cgi animated movie that'll make money because parents need some bright flashy colors to make their brood shut up for a bit. Though they'd be better off just watching Wreck-It Ralph on Netflix or such. Same movie, except with a lot more charm, heart and above all, effort.

OK how is that reasoning of "Parents take their kids to movies to shut them up" a logical fact?

What makes you think the child will shut up? What if he complains and begs and demands for something again immedietly after the movie?

For all I know watching the Emoji movie will have the kid yell at the parents to buy him a iPhone to play around with Emojis.

Because I've heard parents outright state they do it to get their kids to stop whining about stuff. If not that, it's buying something, or taking them somewhere, or whatever.

Parents cave in to their kids all the time. Whether or not it is logical or actually helps is frankly not my problem.
