For a more personal emotion, this song

This album in total, but this song in particular, literally saved my life during the lowest point in my life as a teenager. Rush has more of a meaning in my life than I can actually state.
Same here. The Pass is my favorite song of all time (and I'm right there with you about them Rush feels. Been a diehard fan for 20 years now) and has the most meaning of any song I've heard. It helped me through a really dark time in my life and stopped me from making a really stupid choice. Ghost Rider off of Vapor Trails is another amazing track.

Another song that I absolutely love for the feels is Erutan's The Rose General.

Was never a big fan of Beatrix in Final Fantasy IX, but this song gives a whole new perspective on the character and I love it.

It's like watching Clannad After Story when Nagisa is getting to know Ushio and you know you should be happy but you're just freaking NOT because of the suffocating FEELS.

Yup, that's a great album, up there in my top 5 Rush albums, though my fav tracks on that one are the title track Vapor Trails, and Earthshine. Though really that entire album was really strong.

I always get a massive hit of nostalgia when I hear this song play, Dungeon Siege was one of the first games that I ever completed and this is also one of my favorite compositions from Jeremy Soule.

Just a great piece with a tone that fits into the entire nature of the second game.

Don't have much to say about this, I just like the tone of it.

Here's a different kind of emotional I don't hear often in songs:

It's actually kinda hard to put the kind of emotion this conveys into words, but it's very unique I think.

So I specifically dug up my old Escapist account for this thread alone.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jJE9bf1K1o Streetlight Manifesto - As the footsteps die out forever.

I first heard about this song on Tvtropes as I looked up Streetlight there for shits and giggles. Didn't expect anything to pop up, but it did. So I just smiled and read it. Found out some fun things, but then I stumbled across the text about this song. My thoughts went something like this.

"Huh, sounds sad. Probably not that sad, I've grown up now, not 8 anymore. So I don't cry during songs."

So, I looked up the Lyrics and read them. Now I understood the song slightly better.

And then I listened to it, fuck me I listened to it.

I started to cry, why... I have no idea. But I kept listening to it. Now... it's still emotional. But I can take it now, way more used to it, but sometimes I still have to hold back some tears.

I find most music is only emotional if it somehow ties into your life, or reminds you of something else that really touched you in some way.

For instance, there are numerous heart-wrenching bits in the anime Angel Beats but the song
made the scene it accompanied that much more touching and will forever give me feels when I hear it.

For something a bit more personal,
will always remind me of my first relationship, and then there's
which my wife and I consider to be our song and always reminds me how much I love her.

In honor of the band (that I'm pretty sure is) the source of your pub-club title,
Song gives me feels.
Hadn't heard Reel Big Fish's cover of this, but I must say I prefer Social Distortion's original. Though I do like RBF's covers of Kiss Me Deadly and Take On Me.

This is probably my favourite song from Arcade Fire:
And then there's this:
Probably the most emotional piece of music ever for me.

This one always unclogs the old tear canal. It always reminds me of people, not necesarrily women (as in the song) that you used to be very close to that you´ve lost touch with.

One of my all-time favorites. That whole album is a masterpiece. Michael Giles' drum work on it was a huge influence on my own style.

Here are a few songs that always get to me, especially when I'm feeling lonely:

And this is absolutely the saddest song I know. I'd recommend that anyone who's suicidal NOT listen to it; it really is that upsetting.

I do not know yet how to link clips in posts on here yet, so i can only list and hope ppl have the curiousity. Have been feeling not good lately, which makes my music taste turn pretty dark. So it is a slight coincidence to spy this thread today. Time to spread the sadness...

K's Choice - Shadowman. For years that has been my mind wrapped in one haunting song.

Portishead - Roads... and Wandering star

The Fray - Heartless. Who wouldve thought a kanye west track could be turned into something good, let alone emotional?

Mattafix - Well most of their music really. Though 11:30 stands out.

Opeth - Hope leaves. Yes the title is certainly self explanatory. Though a favourite chillout acoustic tune to play on ma baby.

A perfect circle - Wake the dead. Instrumental...if you can handle feels of the wordless variety.

Anadel - In the water. If youve played season 2 of the walking dead, you should understand.

Steve wilson - The watchmaker. Progressive, long...perfect for sad contemplation.

Xavier Rudd - The energy song. It is not easy to find sad music by this artist.

Evanescence - Hello. Recently learnt this on piano, though i cant find a working non-Amy Lee voice for it, unsurprisingly.

Massive Attack - Mezzanine. The album not the track. Bristol just breeds dark music. Its the British way, goddamn it!

Is that all? I fear not. Ah well. It will have to do. Now time to browse other people's suggestions!

The only song that can consistently get to me is this.

The lyrics about war and how it involves the perspective of everyone involved really gets to me.

Whenever I am feeling melancholy or depressed I usually listen to these songs.
