You're in a bomb shelter safe from radiation and explosions. You're by your self with a running generator that will run for 24 hours and TV. You have a choise of 1 game system and 1 game to play untill you can come up with power.

This topic came up among some friends, though they said they would rather just kill themselves and get it over with. DON'T ANSWER WITH THAT!

One game to play unitl I can come up with power? Where am I getting the extra power from? Shouldn't I be conserving the power I have and not playing video games? I's sorry if I'm being particularly dense and have misunderstood the question, but...
I guess I'd go for DS - it runs on a battery so I won't use up my power reserves, which I might need if I wanted to MacGyver a long range communication device of some sort to see if anyone else was still alive =).
If it's truly the end of the world and I'm inevitably going to die, I think I'd rather take my chances on the surface, and actually witness the end of the world, rather than huddling in a bunker in denial playing computer games until I dehydrate or starve to death.

Gamecube and Tales of Symphonia, no hear me out. One play through takes a minimum of 60 hours. Multiply that by the number of time you can replay it, and you have one of the best time wasters in the world. And since I'm stuck in a shelter for an endless amount of time I'll have plenty of time to spare.

Only one way to find out: auto-join baby.

I'm with you. PC with STEAM installed will get me though the Fallout... by playing Fallout.. and Half Life.. and Mass Effect, I coul go on.

Also.. 24 hours of power until you had to find another source? I would spend those 24 hours trying to find a reliable source of food, water and hopefully life before I considered wsting my hours on the PC.

A 360 and Oblivion, so when the insanity of being alone kicks in I'll have lots of people to talk to

I would take the 360 with fallout 3 just for the irony of it.
Ditto. I'd also use it as a training simulator for going over the top.
Yep. Let's just hope there's enough society left to get you that Fat Boy...

Good thing you have 24 hours and not an hour. The cutscenes are long.
