I don't understand how people can hate hackers. Whether they hack for personal gratification or just plain for profit in the end they outline how little major corporations care about their customers' private data and how careful you should be when sharing it.

I have a question: that hacker who was arrested in Essex for his connection to Lulzsec. His name was Ryan right? And Ryan was also the name of the guy responsible for hijacking the AnonOps section of Anonymous.

Are they perhaps the same?

As far as I know his comp was just used for the DDOS attacks, so he was probably some stupid **** who went onto a few Anon IRC's and tried to big himself out more than he was. And now he'll be keeping Bubba warm.

OT; Good, hope the asshats suffer Ryans fate. All this V for Vendetta tripe makes me sick.

He definitely got into fights with Anon, his mum told the papers she had 20 pizzas and several taxis sent to her house under his name one night.

I think I like these guys just for what they did. They became famous, plain and simple. Six guys/or possibly girls broke into some of the most powerfully protected places in cyberspace just to prove that they could. They cause chaos and anarchy for the pure delight of it. A dark and sick part of me revels in that.

At any rate, I'm glad that my personal info was never compromised, though I can't day the same for my aunt. They broke into her Facebook and posted links to porn sites vaunting something about "wild black booties".

If they were the most powerfully protected places in cyberspace then they would not have been able to get in. That was kind of the point to some of the hacks. Overall I hope they all end up in prison for a long time. Their antics caused real problems for many people who did nothing to deserve it and whether their targets deserved it is debatable.

Truthfully I doubt they are really done, only hiding out and laying low until the heat dies down.

So after angering pretty much everyone in existence they decide it would be best to abandon ship before they get caught in the hopes of leaving a lasting impression.

They end today with what they began with, absolutely nothing of worth. Goodbye and good riddance you morons.

I know they left me with a lasting impression. 6 people were able to bring down any site they wanted, get inside the files of PBS, Fox, pron, sony, facebook, x factor, and government agencies in the span of 50 days. Probably leaving out others.
